If we've got a chance for canon quest knowledge, maybe we can simply ask outright which Division gets us to Karakura the fastest?

Or hell, maybe ask if there is some way we can break canon further by taking Rukia's place on that night the hollow attacks and get the Hogyouku planted in OUR soul or something
 
It's amazing how the momentum of votes can reverse after the previews.
 
So i'm going to assume that the shield is more effective than our sword for blocking things or is it just a if you ever don't have your sword with you and ya gotta block quickly type of thing?

Someone with a sword and shield (and decent training in them) is generally more deadly then someone with just a sword (who has decent training in it).
It also points out the Ichigo is trying to keep himself safe while doing things that may harm/kill him.
 
The sword and board thing lets you defend more effectively because you have a part of your arsenal specifically for defense: instead of having to bring your sword back after a strike or abort a strike of your own, you just bring up the shield. It's not that it's better at blocking than a Zanpakuto, it's that it's designed for blocking and thus is usually faster at blocking. I'm pretty sure, strictly speaking, a Zanpakuto can survive more abuse than the kido shield we're making.
 
Shninigami-s are based on samurais in poplar culture, and they do not use shields.
Kubo often went with the rule of cool.

By rule of cool, I meant, that it ignores practicality for aesthetics.
Many swords styles use use shields,also many of them don't. Neither of the are cooler than the other.
RL samurais who used swords, used then with both hands, and wore heavy armor with large plates against arrows.

Shields are cool too , but they do not fit the the Edo era Japanese aesthetics of Soul Society.

    Because he actually passed on here. Death isn't an event in Bleach, but a process which cleanses souls in preparation for another life. Here it was completed, in canon he interrupted that process before it completed. Mostly.

    will his zanpakuto remain same or different?(no Quincy ability)

    does his Quincy power go to Quincy king after his death or his Shinigami power assimilate left overs of traces of hollow power and Quincy power?

    It's the 12th.

    Just you watch. No-one ever picks the 12th Division in these quests. It'll be the 12th.

    They'll have some secret research project or bit of testing or something that needs an errand boy to head to a spiritually-rich area.

    And all you lot who angle toward the 13th because "Ukitake will be nice to us!" or the 11th because "blood for the blood god lol" will be eating your words and hats. It'll be the 12th. Just keep your head down, double-check your math, and take your suspicious vitamin supplements at regular intervals like a good little lab ra- intern.
     
    How hard is it to avoid mentioning heart stabbing and it's stupidity in each update?
     
    Looking at that set of answers, the only thing that came to mind was to wonder how many quest-goers didn't know about/totally forgot about TPK's previous Q&A sessions in snek quest.
