Depth 004 "A new world, a new Start!"
AN: Thank you for liking and lurking my fic! It really warms my heart knowing people enjoy my stuff and is actively conversing with me about it.

AN:: I've found out that using a standard word limit (i.e. 1k words per chapter at least) makes it hard for me to write, however not using one and directly writing here makes it easy for me to write a chapter, which is ironic since I'm trying to write atleast ~1k words and I could do it without limits and I cant with limits.

Depth 004 "A new world, a new Start!"

(AN: I've only thought of this particular line OTW to school. Can't believe I didn't thought of this.)
While on the way towards the island an Idea suddenly popped into my head, if I could store materials in a pocket dimension AND maintain its connection who or what says that I can't store my ship-body inside?
With that it mind I've activated my Time-Dilation and went in and experimented in a simulated environment. Concluding said simulation and theory I've found out that I can actually store my ship-body, provided I could produce enough power to enlarge and maintain a stable energy with enough margin of error to sustain the pocket dimension. I don't have such capability in my ship-body nor the space to make it, so another Idea went into my head, why not make a cold-fusion power plant inside the said pocket dimension? And so I went again and simulated it. Conclusion: With a bit of programming, I can do it.

So I went ahead and use 5k units of nanomaterials to make a series of small enough cold-fusion power plant, attached a trans-receiver and a very large water tank onto its sides, fill it with water, set the machine to run when a signal is received, place it inside my D-Storage, send signal, received confirmation signal, connect said cold-fusion power plant into my ship-body energy generator, run it in tandem, rinse and repeat for other cold-fusion power plant and viola. A self-sustaining (almost) pocket dimension that's only accessible by me and me alone.

Now I can store my ship-body inside and do a "Gate of Babylon" style of attack against my enemies. Not that they'd get the reference but still pretty damn cool if I say so.

With that out of the way I finally reached the island, not a big island mind you, just a very humble ~1 km island with said stargate-ish object in the middle of the island, now I've said "stargate-ish object" normally you'd think the circle thingy is standing but this gate/portal thing's circle isn't standing but lying in the middle, with a series of circles inside said circle, my translation software doesn't recognize the symbols, probably another alien artifact of sorts with nothing to lose I walked towards the middle most circ-

"Oops forgot to store my ship-body." I went back and stored my ship-body only to find out that it took up a lot of space in my D-Storage, it's now 85% filled up. Damn, never thought my ship-body contains that much mass but then again it's an alien (possibly) battleship anyway.

*Ehem* I walked towards the middle most ring, hoping something happens.
Something did happen, now I can't move.

"Oh, maybe I should've not done that." Now I find myself trapped in the middle as the series of rings started to move around fast, like really fast, fast enough that if it hits you, you'll go splat. Thankfully I've got 3 meters of space from the nearest moving ring.

While the rings are moving and ever so slightly increasing in speed a thought entered my mind.

"If this is like those self-insert fics, then this should be my gateway outside of this universe to another." Suddenly the rings accelerated even more, its so fast that its enough to produce powerful wind currents, the kind of which is enough to throw a human child around. Yes this is your ticket out. It was my mistake to place you in this 'verse, thought it'd be interesting but I guess I was wrong.
Suddenly a flash of light surrounded my body, Instinctively I pushed my Klein-Field at max and placed my arms around my face.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I opened my eyes and found myself surrounding by modern 21st century roads and buildings, then I found humanoid beings looking at me, their rifles aimed at me.

"Don't move or we'll shoot!" A man, possibly a soldier shouted at me.
"Put your hands up in the air!" Another possible soldier, this time a female.
"Or what? You'll shoot me? Go ahead and try, let's see who'll live and not." I hissed at the soldiers surrounding me.
"C-Castle, Rifle 1-1 here, we've got the package surrounded but she's not complying." A soldier behind me radioed at someone, possibly their commander or base.

I noticed something, on a corner in a house my 12 o'clock, I turned my Klein-Field's visibility to 0 and blinked towards the thing I've noticed. I ignored the gunfire headed my way from behind me and I violently grabbed the thing in front of me, It tried to resist but with my bullshit FOG-tech made Mental Model it couldn't escape, It then tried to spit at me, I'm mildly shocked to find out that this things spit is acidic, thanks to my Klein-Field which appeared visible again I was protected. I strengthened my grip on its neck and put my other hand on its head and violently split its head from its body.

[Klein-Field Saturation at 0.02%]

"I know this... This thing. What was it called again?" I completely ignored the shouts, gunfire and explosive behind me as my Klein-Field kept on blocking them and protecting me.

I raised my right hand which is holding the things head. I found its head to be disturbingly thin and with snake-scales.
I raised my left hand, holding the dead body of the thing, this too is disturbingly thin and is wearing a black suit with an obviously alien beam pistol at its right hand.

"This is a thin-man isn't it?" I asked myself baffled at the dead thin-man.
"Shit." I cursed at myself for suddenly showing a vital ability of mine.

I'm at an X-COM universe, before fall X-COM universe. This is NOT going to end well.

I dropped the carcass and wrecked the alien pistol and faced the obviously hostile humans.

"Stop shooting at me or I'll destroy you, your loved ones and your world." I hacked and send that message at the X-COM soldier's comms.

"What!? How did yo- WHO ARE YOU?!" An angry man's voice came from the other line.
"I am the Harbinger of Death. Nothing more, nothing less. I've got no quarry against your kind, but I do have a bone to pick with the Ethereals. Get in my way and I'll promise nothing but death to your kind." I hacked they base through the communications line and found out where it is. I've sent them the location of their own base, forcing them to stop shooting at me. I've heard a gulp on the other line.
"If you're not with them then who are you?" This voice, Bradford was it?
"I am a FOG Superbattleship, designed to destroy worlds and I spent my holidays splitting the lands, seas and skies." I joked, but they don't know that its a joke with the way my I spoke and my look completely void of emotion.

[Additional Hostiles detected, Hostile Infantry detected.]

I look towards the incoming alien crafts, I slowly, for dramatic effect, raised my right hand never bothering to close the communications, I know they're watching from the city' security cameras and that flyer of theirs up above so I'll make this dramatic as possible.

"Gate of Babylon." Slowly, circular dimensions opened up and form them my numerous photon LMGs and HMGs appeared menacingly, I activated their laser pointers and pointed my guns at the offending aliens which are now shooting at me. I swiftly brought my right arm down, signalling the beginning of a death orchestra, an alien death orchestra as they screams of pain and dying filled my ears.

As the death orchestra continues I found a crashed alien scout-ship with humans surrounding it, based on the uniforms of the said humans those ones are EXALT humans, hmm they've already secured the surroundings of the alien ship, oh well, too bad I can't salvage its FTL drive.

I again raised my right arm, this time my arm and palm pointed towards the ugly alien saucer, then a small portal opened and from it came a small single barrel photon cannon, just one photon cannon capable of blowing that alien ship to bits.

[Auxillary 25mm Photon Cannon, Firing.]

As my cannon finished its death roar the ugly saucer exploded in millions of bits, the fragments killing all nearby EXALT humans and the remainder of the aliens guarding it. Just to be sure I opened another portal and fired one 46cm HE shell at it, obliterating the surrounding area.

Hey there's no kill like overkill when it comes to aliens.

"Oh my God." A female voice over the comms made itself known. Dr Vahlen perhaps?

As I look around I discovered the baffled looks of the XCOM soldiers. I discovered their probable squad leader looking calm with sweat drops flowing on his face while looking at me and communicating on his radio. He finished talking and came up to me.

"Uhm, the XCOM Commander would like to talk with you, please come with us." He nervously stated.
"No. There's nothing for me and your Commander to talk about." I replied.
"I would like to negotiate with you." The previous male voice made it self known again. Possibly the Commander.
"No, unless there's something I could receive just by talking to you XCOM people then it won't happen." I personally would like to NOT go inside their base. Fuck who knows if they got something that can hurt me. Oh wait. I can use this.
"Hmm let's see, give me all, and when I say all I mean ALL of your information, about the Ethereals and their military and then only then we can talk." I said so, I then heard murmur of voice from Dr. Vahlen and Bradford, possibly arguing of this is safe or if they could get me or something from me. But as if I'd give them a chance.
"Just so you know I've forwarded the location of your own base to you XCOM humans. Try something and you'll find yourself face to face with a miniature sun exploding violently." I threatened them by sending them and playing the same video of the alien saucer exploding, just for effect.
"Very well then, we'll hand over the information you've requested but first we would like to negotiate with you." The Commander boldly stated. Either they've got very little information about the aliens which means the war just recently started or they're desperate, meaning they've been loosing badly. Either way I get something and they don't.
"Very well then lead the way Human." I basically ordered the Human XCOM soldier in front of me.
"It's Captain Schultz Ma'am." He lead the way and I followed. Soon we arrived at their aircraft and boarded it. Although...
"Just so you know, If you did try something to me then it's going to result in you Humans finding another enemy, and even deadlier and merciless enemy than what you're currently facing." I threatened them again. Just to be sure.
"We know." The Commander's voice ringed then shut the communications down. Possibly talking to his people about what's about to happen.

Soon the aircraft took off and headed towards the border of France and Germany.

=========================================================================================

Yay! Another Chapter done. Just to be sure I'll say this ahead.

I basically threatened to kill them by using an obscene amount of fire power. Telling them that "If you mess with me you'll regret it" over live camera feed, remember that I hacked their communications and I basically controlled the conversation by not letting them speak unless I wanted them to.

Also I've stated above in the story that I've used a 46cm round to obliterate the surroundings. Don't worry I didn't show the cannon, I've only shown the shell flying from the portal.

My ability to 'Blink' has a range of 100 Meters. Yes it's OP but that's what you get when you combine an OP Tech such as FOG-Tech.

Yes I basically do not plan and write as I feel like it.

Omake: "Morality Issues? What's that?" (Canon)
AN: This is all in Time-Dilated mode (Need a new name for that, could someone suggest a good name for that?) during Depth 004, right after I killed EXALT Humans.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And they just died like that.

I aimed my weapons, primed it and fired.

I look straight at their eyes as they died.

Then I noticed something strange, why am I not affected by killing humans?

As far as I know I never, ever, had killed another human being so I should be affected by it, but I'm not, why?
Because it'll be boring if you went ahead and mope like a little bitch about human morality, so I lowered your 'morality' so to speak.
Even during the previous world. I am seemingly all too calm. Is it because of my FOG disposition? Yes I did that too.

I mentally called up my Emotion Engine Emulator.

[Emotion Engine Emulator... Running at Optimal Combat Capacity.]

EEE, did you lowered the emulation levels?

[Affirmative, Emulation levels have been lowered and post-traumatic stress have already been removed.]

So it is the EEE doing that, forcibly calming me, I'm mad but I get where its coming from, panicking during combat is a stupid way to get killed.

A miniature what exploding violently?

Honestly, at this point I have to wonder just what the point of having the ship body as is. I mean, you can have it look however you like and while for the most part, it is just aesthetics, it doesn't really reflect the capability to be anything other than a sea going naval vessel. Maybe take some inspiration from submarines like the Danann and Blue Sub 6 and strap runs onto the outside or have them recessed. After all, there isn't much of a reason to stick with the standard WW2 look and plenty of reason to change when it becomes annoying to be asked what the heck every time someone sees the ship body.

I'm going to have to clarify this and help you a bit here.

4 - 46cm 3-Rifled Variable Photon Turret

big, but fine

5 - 2-Barreled 13cm Photon Autocannons (1 in near the bow, in front of a 46cm)

There are several issues with this.

First of all, that's way too few for any WWII battleship, let alone a Yamato. Yamato started out with six 127 mm turrets (three per side) and finished with twelve (six per side).

Second of all, putting one near the bow like that is a very bad idea. The firing arcs will conflict with those of the main battery-it will be difficult to use either one, let alone both at the same time. There's a reason why you don't see them doing this in any prototypical warship.

Third of all, you are missing what is arguably one of the best design features of the Yamato-class. The super-firing 155 mm three-gun turrets.

A turret is super-firing when it is mounted ABOVE AND BEHIND another turret. Yamato's forward main guns were super-firing, and the forward 155 mm was super-firing over them. The rear super-firing 155 mm is the smaller gun turret you can see here mounted above the stern main battery.

Because they were located on the center-line and super-firing, these two turrets had SUPERB arcs of fire, which made them one of the best features of the ship.

8 - 3-Barreled 25mm Photon High-Angle Autocannons
4 - 2-Barreled 13mm Photon High-Angle Autocannons

This is about twenty times less than you should have. By the end, Yamato had 54 three-barrel 25 mm turrets.

And you should have a lot more 13 mm as well.

Multiple Missile Launchers (Thumper, Corrosive, HE, Lightning, Flak, SABOT, Thermite)
Multiple Torpedo Launchers (HE, Corrosive, Acoustic, Sound-cluster, Thermite)

If a heavy cruiser can have 100+ missile tubes, you should have 200+. And more than 30 torpedo tubes.

Also, Fog warheads are "whatever we want them to be at this moment". Because nanomaterials.

Electro-Magnetic Mortar (from the movie 'Battleship', 'Cause why not?)

This is redundant to the missile launchers and main guns which can do the same thing. As with the missiles, Fog guns shoot "whatever I feel like" for ammo.

Numerous Photon Light Machineguns and Photon Heavy Machineguns.

Not sure what you are referring to here, but you seem to have missed that the "smokestack" on Fog ships is high-angle AA photon cannon used for orbital interception.

Likewise, the many binoculars mounted on IJN ships are now photon guns, as well as window panes and just about anything else (concealed within the hull).

Fog ships can also use cables as whips/electric dischargers and catapults as vibration emitters.

Speed: 80 knots (surface), 60 knots (submerged) and 90 knots (surface, boosted)

If you are going by the manga, speed is 100 knots all-around.

Thanks for that, fix'd that.

I'll change the ship body for when I am forced to take to space.

I have to admit that it's been a while since I've read and watched the anime and its movies so I got lost/mixed in the details.
First of all thanks for the stabs at my chest, that actually hurt but lesson learned.

This is a kinda dangerous method of writing but hay your still newish.

When your new you can get away with a certain stuff, I also want to re-write this for when I've sufficiently improved my writing.

Also TBH, I can't actually bring myself to write when I've planned out stuff, like seriously, I once planned this to start at arpeggio-verse (at my snippet there's one) but when I try to write as I planned, I always get stuck by my own plan for one reason to another.

Depth 005 "Stealing! Death threats! also actual Deaths."
AN: SUE ME I DONT KNOW HOW TO NEGOTIATE.

Depth 005 "Stealing! Death threats! also actual Deaths."

At a certain base in the border of France and German a certain pissed off woman was sitting inside of a wrecked military base, this base although still working it looks like it got raided and sacked only recently, the scars of battles and the lingering smell and marks of blood were the proof of this.

In all of this a series of arguments and 'silent' shouting were being exchanged.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am thankful at ROB for inserting me in PRE-FALL XCOM, Humans are quite nice and not so xenophobic so unlike POST-FALL XCOM. You're welcome.

"I have indeed receive the promised payment for this negotiation." I confirmed it with the XCOM people.
"Yes, and we're very thankful for your upcoming assistance and cooperation." Dr. Vahlen offered her hand in which I took and shook her hands firmly.
"Hm, let me just do a final confirmation." I stated, not asked, when negotiating with XCOM officers, always be at the top.
"Go ahead." Comes from Dr. Vahlen.
"In exchange for my cooperation against future alien attacks and my cooperation for upcoming assaults against alien crafts and bases, I am to take any tech found on the field as my payment. Any alien crafts I can take down on my own are my salvage. Salvages of the alien bases are to be shared with us only if the base assault is commenced together with me and your forces. Is this all it then?" I asked them.
"Goddamn aliens and their superior firepower." I heard a voice murmur behind the Commander, which the Commander only plastered a wry smile on his face.
"Yes that is all." Dr. Shen replied with also a wry smile.
"If that is all then I shall take my leave." I turned around and blinked towards the exit of the facility, never minding the shocked faces of the soldiers, scientist and engineers who suddenly found appearing out of thin air.

--------------------- After exiting the base

You know, I almost pity them, almost, they just got their base wrecked by the Aliens just a week ago, and the aliens became bold in their attacks, I mean an Alien Terror Attack? Just after these men and women defended their base like the rabid dogs of war that they are? Plus the constant Alien probing? These men and women are overworked to almost to a literal death, what a black company this is! (In a lot of ways)

Although its bad that the XCOM almost lost the war, thanks to my arrival they now have a chance at beating the Aliens, at the expense of myself... Damn, never thought Vahlen'll be such a great (pain in the ass) negotiator... Next time shoot first, negotiations later. ANYWAY.

During the negotiations, I got bored by them arguing behind closed doors so I spent my time sending out scans of my surroundings only to accidentally find an alien base hidden in Spain, thanks to that massive energy readings, XCOM could've possibly discovered the base already, but seeing as they've got no spare manpower and firepower they probably left that base alone. I licked my lips in anticipation.

[Accessing Local Sapient Life-form Surveillance Satellites.]

[Designation Updated.]

[Command received.]
Scan it for massive energy readings.
[Scanning Area.]
[Scan Complete.]
What? How come there's none? I- Oh... right, I shouldn't compare XCOM-Tech o FOG-Tech.

[Unidentified Craft Detected]
Where?
[Scanning.]
[Unknown Craft is headed towards Spain.]
Huh, they're headed towards country-side Spain, another Terror Attack? It's not headed for the Alien Base for sure.

I opened up my connection towards my ship-body, I designed and had my R&D help me finish the rest of my Dropship design, named it KZ-1 and ordered my nano-fabricators to build.

The design a simple one if I say so. I took an Apache-esque cockpit, outlined its fuselage to a '+' enlongated cross shape, I added a 2 pairs of smaller wings below (behind in this case) the cross, one right behind the bigger ings and another in the far back, made the middle small wings to be able to pivot using a ball joint which is connected to another joint, added a pair of powerful small thrusters below the wings and added another pair, this one only rotateable, on the open area between the 2 small wings, I added another pair of thrusters just mounted at the side of the cockpit, of course near the body instead of directly beside the cockpit, added a platform to carry vehicles and infantry, sloped and sharpened the crafts overall edges of the craft.
I like the design. Teehee. xP

[Time until fabrication is complete: 4 hours]

Damn that's long, I guess it's my fault for not building a base in Factorio-verse. Will I make it there in time using blink? Well I have to at least try. I made a series of blink towards Spain, unfortunately, or rather obviously I couldn't make it and almost made my D-Storage collapse due to lack of power, thank god I placed a large margin of error when I made those power plants, speaking power plants I need to head onto a sea and take water.

Later on I found an XCOM craft headed towards Spain, I could've contacted them and asked for a ride there using the obviously tapped and tracked phone they gave me, but meh, I like seeing the surprised looks of people. I'm bad like that.

Seeing as I have literally nothing to do except wait, I spent the next hour finding a place to mine resources from, good news, I found one, bad news, its owned. So instead of finding mines I set out to scan the airspace and outer-space for Aliens, sadly I found none and spent the next 3 hours scanning and waiting. After the long wait I received a ping.

[Production Complete.]
How much Nanomaterials left we have?
[9900 Units left.]
100 units for one KZ-1 Dropship huh.

I sent an activation signal for the dropship and remote controlled it to fly towards the portal as I open it. And there she is on her full on glory. What a beautiful craft. I rode it towards the north sea. As I travel I had a dozen large water tanks fabricated.

I kept the ship hovering above the sea, went outside and dived down the water then I opened my D-Storage and pulled the water tanks out and filled it with water, saltwater.

After filling all 12 water tanks I surfaced and had my dropship hover just above the water line for me to blink and board it.

[Unidentified Craft Detected.]
Where and where is it headed?
[Scanning... Unknown Craft at 'English Channel' headed towards 'United Kingdom.']
Hmm... I think I'll take that craft for myself.
[Active Stealth... On]

I flew my dropship towards the English Channel and I opened up my weapon systems and wondered which weapon was best to take down an alien craft with as little or to no damage at all. End result? None. Seriously FOG ships aren't designed to be subtle. It's either do it or not. I let out a defeated sighed.

Later on I managed to caught up with the Alien craft. It's bigger than the one I encountered during my first contact. Definitely not a saucer, so I think this is probably a destroyer. If that's the case I can afford to damaged it a little.

I opened the side doors of the dropship and opened a portal, from which a missile armed with thermite warheads flew angrily towards the Alien Destroyer's ass, rather towards its engines. The missile struck true and destroyed the vessel's engines, causing it to fall down towards UK.

[Active Stealth... Off]

I activated my E-Warfare Suite and proceeded to hack the Alien vessel, I succeeded and went ahead and wreck their transmitter and any thing capable of sending any form of signals or communications, including personal ones, I then overloaded the vessel's shield causing it to shutdown and disable its weapon systems. Huh, even meager weapons than my own ship-body. Seriously 4 Elerium-based Plasma Batteries and 3 Missile Launchers? Even a contemporary sea-born Earth Naval Destroyer has more weapons than this. I then proceeded to hack its databanks for the shinies and managed to get almost all of them just before the Alien Outsider powered its receivers down manually, forcing the connection to close.

So it wasn't a Destroyer but an Abductor, huh. Also a Temple Ship and a Battleship is just sitting around in Lagrange 2, stealth. Neat, something I can bargain with to XCOM if the need arises.

The Abductor finally crash-landed at a certain rural part of the UK. I had my dropship kept flying above the crash-site providing overwatch to the area. I blinked downwards, just in-time to come face to face with wounded Mutton. I wrecked its face by smashing a thumper missile at its face.

I fabricated a Killzone StA-3 Light Machine Gun and ran around the abductor, picking off straggler one by one Arnold Schwarzenegger-style. After a series of firefights I forced the remainder of the still living Aliens inside their ship, I made a hole in a wall, and gunned down any Aliens I see. After killing the Alien defenders I went inside and killed the Outsider and its Thin-men escorts and secured the ship for myself.

I finally went outside after trying to salvage its databanks and ultimately failing, still pouting I sent a command towards my ship-body to dissolve the bow of the ship into a large pool of nanomachines. I opened a portal just above the abductor and poured said nanomachines on the alien vessel and commanded every single nanomachine in the pool to scan, catalouge and dissolve the alien vessel and its cargo without exception, including bio-matter. Except bio-wastes, 'cause fuck that shit.

You might want to cut down content into chapters ,and outline for yourself what you get, and where are you headed by the end of an arc.
Like- XCOM- get info on aliens, exotic tech acquisition, comparing energy transmission, supplementing ship operations with crew, chasing saucers.
And then go about describing how you got there and who you talked with etc.

You seem to be taking a lot of risk showing yourself without any attempts at masking or hiding (towards aliums).
They do have a giant mothership filled with very hard firepower.
FoG ships are strong but only so long as their KF lasts.
Takao got done in by conventional warheads after her KF fell in manga. And Iona took moderate damage from 127mm guns before leaving Yokosuka after she first made contact with Gunzo.

If that's the kind of planning you're talking about then I have one.

Establish contact with XCOM
Maintain contact with XCOM
Extort alien-tech from XCOM
Capture alien ships to improve ship-body.
Gather resources.
Get XCOM to work on PSIONIC weaponry.
Capture, improve and integrate FTL drive from Aliens. (Optional)
Leave XCOM Universe.

Your welcome. No problem.

This...

I just don't see the point. It really doesn't do anything for the plot. Especially since Fog battleships can break themselves down and rearrange themselves however they wish on the fly. The reason you don't see them do it is largely due to a lack of creativity on their part.

Also do you think if those 15.5cm would work being mounted beside and a lil' backwards in the (front and back) 2nd elevated 46cm? 'Cause I'll be having that or my 14cm mounted there.

Do you mean amidships (as in, in the middle of the ship)?

Here's a profile of Musashi from 1942 before she had all of her AAA installed:

Those two turrets that are the farthest to the sides on the top view are the wing turrets. They are indeed triple 155 mm.

Note also the smaller turrets directly above and centered on the main guns. Those are the other two 155 mm turrets.

Also, look at the bow and the forward turret. Here's a photo look back from the very front taken in 1942:

Notice that the crew are basically standing just below the main guns and their heads almost touch the barrels. Those guns are maybe about six feet/two meters above the deck. That's really not enough room for anything bigger than a 40 mm turret.

Here, for comparison, is a dual 5"/38 cal secondary mount from USS New Jersey:

There is NO way you can fit that underneath the main turret.

Here's the main guns of USS Missouri for a final compare:

Not underneath the turret silly, like the pic of Musashi you kindly provided I'm having those secondaries mounted at the beside the elevated turret also a bit farther backwards, like the ones mounted on the pic at each side of the bridge. Also since the hull is basically a bigger, bit more elongated version of the Yamato hull as I've already said, the primaries'll be a tad bit more on the front.

[Research on Warp Drive sample#0001 commencing.]

While my loot is being converted to nanomaterials I had all of the abductor's Elerium packed and sent to ship-body and to my R&D Lab aboard to be studied. Sure I could've used XCOM's study about the stuff but I wanna see what I can come up with it.

['Elerium' substance received, R&D commencing study on substance 'Elerium'.]

I also contacted XCOM about the Temple Ship and its escort.

"I see, at Lagrange 2 is it?" Dr. Vahlen asked.

"Yes it is, I'll send the data packet I got from the abductor... and sent." I replied.

"We have received it. As for your requested... 'payment', We'll forward it to the council." She replied and closed the connection, possibly wondering why they haven't spotted the ships in L2 and confirming my statement and its evidence.

[Gained 1000 units of Nanomaterial from 'Abductor' vessel.]

Good. Now all that's left is to wait for my other loot from the XCOM council.

In the following days, I spent them roaming around London, eating, having fun and generally playing with my XCOM 'hidden' 'escorts' who kept following me around, I may have hurt their heads by disappearing out of thin air. Also the number of Alien attacks decreased ever since my raid on that Abductor, I don't know how they knew it was me but I think they knew, now they're lying low, probably observing me through esoteric Ethereal bullshit or something.

Also Human socialization is great, after talking to a bunch of homeless people in some alleys and generally being a nice guy (girl), I think my head became a little 'light', like a weight has been removed. Now I feel absolutely fantastic.

A few days more and the Commander finally contacted me, he said I can now pick up my loot or wait for it to be delivered here in UK, I chose the former, also thanks to my Intel they have finally convinced the UN to activate and hand over controls of several ICBMS to XCOM. Bajeezuz dude, do you have to that? Sure they're Xenos but do you need to point 20 ICBMs at L2? I almost feel sorry the Aliens. Almost.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After a week of flying I finally reached the US East Coast. I spent a few tens of minutes trying to find my XCOM/UN contact to claim my loot, thankfully I found him.

"So you're 'Fairy One'?" He asked me, trying to size me up.

"Yeah, I am. Is my loot ready?" Confirmed the Codename given to me by XCOM then I asked back.

"Yes it is, I sure do hope this is worth it."

"It's very much worth it. Trust me. Or XCOM if you can't trust me." I replied

After a few more talks and pleasantries I signed up a paper confirming the transfer of the ship to me. Afterwards I went to my loot, drove it in the sea, where no one except that XCOM satellite looking at me, I inspected my loot.

"Ufufu~ Iowa-chan I'll eat you up." I licked my lips at anticipation. Quite literally I suppose. LEWD.

I commanded my ship-body's deck, bridge, boiler and several guns to be dissolved into nanomachines, I then poured said nanomachines onto Iowa, as I 'eat' Iowa, I opened up my Designer, took my so called 'Fuji-class' hull and redesigned it, save said design and wait.

[Gained 8000 Nanomaterials.]

After 'gobbling' up Iowa, I stored my Dropship inside my D-Storage and let my Mental-Model sink in the sea, of course I fabricated an egg like the one Hyuuga used in the series and send a command to convert my hull to a different one then I entered 'sleep' mode, waiting for my hull conversion to complete.

New Hull Design:
Fuji-Class Superbattleship (Yamato-II)
Flagship Equipment: Mirror-Ring System (18 Mirrors)
Wave-Force Armor 2x (Redundant Klein-Field)
Super Heavy Graviton Cannon
Weapons:
4x – 3-Barreled 46cm Variable Photon Cannons (Primary)
4x – 3-Barreled 15.5cm Variable Photon Cannons (Secondary)
8x – 3-Barreled 25mm Photon High-Angle Autocannons
10x – 2-Barreled 13mm High-Angle Auto-lasers
8x – 3-Barreled 25mm Photon AA Guns
4x – 2-Barreled 13.2mm Laser AA Guns
Bow-mounted Hidden High-Voltage Discharger (Wired spear-gun config)
100x MSSL Launchers
60x TORP Launchers
Electro-Magnetic Mortar (Also a Depth-Charge Launcher)
Various LMGs and HMGs

Propulsion: Graviton Engine / Type-S x286
Speed: 80-90 knots (All around)

'Waking up' I immediately connected to the Internet, I let out a sigh, thankful that it took only a week to convert my hull. Then I never really changed my hull so I guess that's that, plus most of the changes are minor ones, the only major would be that bulge in the ships' keel, slightly more larger than previous to accommodate the other Klein-Field generator. Still the redundant shield'll be worth it when the time comes.

I also changed my color theme, It was Yamato's colors, which meant white and blue, I thought about mixing it with Musashi's purple and yellow, but I didn't like the results so I chose mine to be black and gold, gundam banshee colors.

After another series if minor modifications I'm finally done with my ship-body, I've also added a few more plants and modifications and increased my D-Storage Capacity by 20% more.

Resurfacing, I called XCOM.

"Heya, Any new changes?" I waited for a reply and a female voice, one I don't recognize replied.

"Yes ma'am, 3 days ago the X-Rays resumed their operations but still less than they originally do."

"Manpower problems on your side?" I asked.

"None ma'am." She replied. None huh? The Aliens really did tone their assault down, guess I put their arrogance down. Bad move me. Now they'll be cautious.

Still whether they send their heavy hitters or not I am confident that I can handle them in range, one thing the series didn't give justice to FOG ships in general, is that every FOG is OP as fuck. FOG missiles, not the small standard ones used by the FOG but specialized long range ones the FOG uses has an absolute ludicrous range of ~35,000 kilometers give or take. Those are the ones that the FOG (AN: In my Arpeggio-verse) used to take down satellites AND not to mention that the photon cannons, especially my photon cannons can also reach such ranges and even more provided I keep feeding energy to the cannons, NOT to mention the range of my SGC in vacuum, I've only tested it in the simulations but all I can say is 'fuck the moon planetary annilation-style', yes the SGCs are miniature annihilasers, Jesus Fucking Christ, that's Goddamned terrifying!

So yes, I can deal and keep them at range so long as I can spot them first after all, space has a lot of... space.

Ever since I resurfaced a new, the encounters have decreased exponentially, now it became every one's favorite game, the 'Waiting Game'. Might have been the fact that 20 ICBMs are pointed at L2, just in case I sent out a long-range scan towards L2, sure enough they're still there. Are they really that incompetent or they're that confident? I mean I'm sending out active pulse of scans, active ones, those that enemies CAN use to detect me as well as detect them.

Hm... Don't like this at all.

[Active Stealth... On.]

Let's relocate to SEA, and lure them there.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've spent the following days turning my stealth on and off in SEA, hoping to lure their 'trap' for me, it has been no dice so far. So I spent those 'peaceful' days looking at the results of my R&D on Elerium, I'm having fun since I can basically create Elerium using my nano-fabricators albeit an expensive one, with this in mind I spend a day or two upgrading my various weapons and power generation now my cold-fusion power plants are all replaced with Elerium-based power plants which are a lot better in terms of power generation and less space taken. Now my D-Storage has increased 40% Capacity.

Next few days later I found an Alien base at Mindanao, Philippines, due to a supply ship suddenly appearing out of nowhere just outside Mindanao, so I sent out a few subtle scans and some probes, found it, contacted XCOM about it, they said they'll send it a squad to clean it up, well, that is if they can get here first which won't happen since I'm here now, creating Elerium is expensive, and its price increases exponentially if its a larger one, so why not instead take one from my 'friendly'-alien neighborhood?

As the dark of the night reaches the sea and the earth I planned my assault, a two-pronged assault with my remote-controlled 8 3-Barreled 25mm Photon AA Guns, mounted on a Rensouhou-chassy with an anti-grav device so they can float, they're all cute looking sharp bottom pounted circular chassy with antennas for arms and the turrets mounted a top of them, first wave'll be my 'Nade Launcher and LMG-mounted drones I fabricated this morning, probing them for weak points which I can either call in a strike from my ship-body and/or have my team (me) assault it and break them.

As my drones closed in and opened fire on the unsuspecting Aliens I activated my E-Warfare Suite and block all outgoing and signals from a 10 km radius around the alien base and had all incoming signals directed at a network-separated are in my ship-body, making sure that they wont call in and invite some of their friends.

With a few drones lost, my first wave was successful in clearing out the surrounding area of the base, I then took me and my team towards one of the 'weaker' walls and planted an Elerium-based C4, activated my Wave-Force Armor and detonated the E-C4, I took advantage of the smoke and the confusion for me and my team to enter and kill all the Aliens in the Alien Hangar I found ourselves into.

As they diverted their forces towards the hangars I send a command for my ship body to send a thermite missile towards the front gate of the base, the missile, as usual struck true and made a hole on their base gates, I then ordered my drones to storm in and do a wolf-pack of 4 drones per team for search and destroy tactics.

[Klein-Field Saturation at 5%]

As the firefight on the hangar continues to escalate in the gate and the hangar of the alien base, instead of destruction, I opted to capture this mountainside of a base, although first I have to destroy these secto-pods and their secto-mech escorts. Their plasma, missile and laser weaponry weren't enough to saturate my KF, I pushed forward and force the aliens to focus fire on me, having my big, cute and badass, Rensouhou escorts I had them shoot the Aliens with their shoulder mounted anti-armor weapons first. Then the Chryssalids, 'cause fuck those shit, I've had my fair-share of the nightmare back when I played and watched XCOM.

Sure they possess no threat to the current me at all which is all kinds of ironic since they were the bane of my existence (and my squad's) back then but now? Meh, still fuck them.

As I made my push deeper inside the enemy base I lured them into their barracks, the enemy, diverting more personnel on the barracks, I then send pairs of stealth drones towards the command center and their E115 power plant, just to make sure they won't self destruct with my shinies.

A few minutes more of sporadic firefights and alien personnel I finally secured the base, I dissolved obviously booby-trapped parts of my new base with a few grams of thanatonium just to be sure. I then contacted the XCOM forces en-route telling them that I've already secured the base on my own, part of the deal was this, I secure a base or an alien craft by myself and it's all mine and mine alone, if we instead worked together then the loot goes 50/50. I went with the former and now all these shinies and the new batch for recently transferred Eleriums are now all mine! MiNE! MY PRECIOUS!

Ehem

… My Inner Golum came out just a tiny bit.

=========================================================================

A few days later, the XCOM forces contacted me saying they wanted to have the alien carcass and they'll pay for it, I gave them the carcass for free and told them to work on psionic weaponry, they happily took the carcass and the advice. In the meantime I took my time to redesign the whole base, I placed hidden missile launchers within the walls of the base and fabricated and installed 10 25mm 3-Barreled Auto-Lasers all over the base. I lost 1000 units of nanomaterials but its nanomaterials well spent.

With the research on Alien Warp Drive complete and improved upon by my R&D, I then went ahead and told my R&D to combine my FOG-tech, FACTORIO-tech and this new Alien FTL Drive to make a ship-based short range Blink Drive, It wasn't possible so I was stuck with the a Warp FTL Drive, too bad, just think about it? A ship teleporting in and out of everywhere? Ain't that a kick in the head?

Afterwards, I took apart the base's databanks and all data inside, took a copy of the psionic-based tech that they have and send them to XCOM. I'll be sure to extort some stuff from them.

I then proceeded to throw those same tech to the sharks (my R&D) waited for the magic to complete.

With a whole new plethora of Eleriums and stock weaponry, it's finally high time for me to make humanoid platforms. I opened my designer, I pasted a human body, removed all the useless bits and bolts, added a lot more muscles, added additional sensors, added a trans-receiver and finally, a sub-system core. I now have a proper human platform I can use as multi-purpose soldiers or crews.

[Unidentified Large Vessel Detected.]

[Unknown Large Vessel will enter planet orbit in 3 hours.]

Large? Is it the temple ship? I mentally entered a series of commands and a bunch of holographic image of various scans and search results showed me that the Temple Ship's escort has moved.

Designate Target Vessel as 'Ethereal Battleship'.

[Unknown Vessel Identified as 'Ethereal Battleship'.]

['Ethereal Battleship' will enter planet orbit in 2 hours and 57 minutes.]

I've got enough time to prepare. Let's cancel all production. I boarded my craft towards my ship-body east of Mindanao, after storing my dropship, I ran a ship-wide system scan, happy with the result of my scan which showed no problems in my ship-body, I submerged together with my ship-body, in an erratic fashion in an attempt to throw off my precise location and waited. Waited a long time for them to come at me.

In the meantime I ignored all the calls from XCOM and sent them one sentence.

'That's mine.'

================================================================================

After 3 hours of waiting, the alien battleship, tagged as TGT01, arrived still hung around at high earth orbit.

After another hour of waiting TGT01, entered Geostationary Orbit, heh, I can now shoot them down if I wanted. But I'll wait some more, I wanted them inside planet to make sure they can't escape and for my E-War Suite to be effective.

After 2 hours of waiting TGT01 finally entered the planet, not in Asia, but in North America. So I activated my boosters underwater and boosted towards NA from the Pacific Ocean.

Arriving at West NA where TGT01 hung around, I, like a U-Boat from WW2, stalked my prey, waiting for the right moment to strike, TGT01 is within my primary's effective range (my 4 46cm), right after surfacing I can immediately fire a barrage of broadside against TGT01 whenever and wherever needed.

I sent another subtle scan and ping, I noticed the USN Fleet entered the area TGT01 is in, in response TGT01 pointed its bow towards the USN. I can use this. If TGT01 engages the enemy, I will hit TGT01 in the back! I can do this! Ufufu~.

Soon my prediction came true and the USN and TGT01 entered combat. Cannon rounds and Plasma Bolts were exchanged between the two sides. I blew my ballast and surfaced, as soon as I surfaced I fired a full broadside towards TGT01, my angry sea-god wrath of photon beams streaked through the air and struck TGT01s shields.

…And then suddenly something struck me in the back in the form of dozens of large alien scout ships. I was surrounded and I knew I won't get away unscathed.

So I fired up all my weapons, I started a carnival of death and explosions everywhere.

[Klein-Field Saturation at 14%]

A barrage of small plasma bolts hit my portside, as my thanks I gave them a rain of lasers, I struck and destroyed 3 ships.

TGT01 swung around and paid no attention towards the devastated USN Fleet. TGT01, true to name delivered a lethal dose of plasma bolts unto me.

[Klein-Field Saturation at 52%]

In panic, I activated my boosters and my speed bolted from 80 knots to 100 knots, and in a few seconds I was making waves.

As my ship-body continued to fire barrages of lasers, beams, shells and missiles. The aliens also relentless fired bolts upon bolts of plasma upon me, my KF taking strains from enemy fire were showing me warnings that I need to release the pent-up heat.

[Klein-Field Saturation at 67%]

TGT01 took notice of my panic and release another barrage from its plasma batteries, I evaded half of them, half of them.

[Klein-Field Saturation at 79%]

The boosters finally wore off and stop providing me the much needed speed to evade enemy fire. I retaliated by switching my 46cm to fire rail gun spikes which struck true to TGT01, I obliterated its shields using sheer kinetic energy and penetrated their armor and hull, the explosive-tipped spikes, exploded at my command and delivered large amounts of damage.

[Klein-Field Saturation at 89%]

The Aliens decided that it was high time that I disappear and they send their remainder of small and large scout ships to ram mine, most struck true and delivered me in a world of pain.

[Klein-Field Saturated.]

[Armor damage, Heavy. Hull damage, Light.]

I took armor and hull damage from the series explosions but I wasn't about to let them gain the upper hand. I activated my backup Klein-Field.

[Klein-Field Activated.]

[Klein-Field Saturation at 8%]

I focused all my firepower at TGT01 and released another barrage of full power rail gun spikes, corrosive warhead missiles and lasers which finally took down the Alien Battleship. The USN Fleet finally regrouped, decided that shooting down smaller alien crafts were worth it.

[Klein-Field Saturation at 12%]

WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU SHITS BEEN?!

[Klein-Field Saturation at 15%]

I took out my anger at the alien fighters and scout ships. I almost pity them. Almost.

I sent out an angry full power scan at L2 and discovered the Temple Ship haven't move ever since.

…They're next if they come anywhere near.

Depth 008 "Salvage!"
Depth 008 "Salvage!"

While the me the USN are 'cooperating' in lifting the Alien Battleship, of which THEY DID NOT DO a damn thing against and them doing the said lifting of the alien ship from the sea, I had my ship-body submerged and opened her hull to make space for me to fabricate another ship for me to use, all the while my ship-body is salvaging smaller alien crafts to be broken down and converted to nanomaterials, multi-tasking at its finest.

I already designed the ship out of sheer boredom waiting for the XCOM Council and US Gov. to finish they're bickering about the salvage of which I ended up interfering and basically telling them to STFU and let me take most of the salvage as I DID MOST of the shooting whereas the USN Fleet only took down a couple of Alien small crafts which are rightfully theirs now. God Damn Humies!

[Used 10000 Units of Nanomaterials.]

In just a single day I salvaged my downed alien crafts, so is the USN with the exception of that Battleship, that took a whole god damned month to lift and a week to transport to San Diego Naval Port. If they could've left me to help it would've been done in within a week! But no they had to be all like 'Hurr Durr we don't want you to hog it yourself so we will do the work.'. SCREW YOU USN. I may hog all them shinies but I don't hog it when others also have stakes in it! Unless they're my enemies which you are close to be one now!

[Gained 1000 units of Nanomaterials]

Ugh... Anyways I trailed them underwater nd I returned the favor by constantly reminding them that I'm still here and they should NOT dare to take it for themselves like what those CIA-tards are planning. I secretly activated USS Gerald R. Ford's combat alarms when those CIA-tards tried to look for my rail gun spikes. The next day they tried to pull the same stunt and I hacked the poor carrier's speakers and told them that I know how many spikes are stuck inside and I've got their exact location inside that ship. Not that there were any spikes left, those were explosive-tipped spikes, there's nothing for them to salvage from my tech.

[Construction of 'DDX-101' Class of Destroyer has been completed.]

My fabricators finally finished building the Destroyer, I didn't bother putting Mental Models on it, I mean sure I can use 2% of my processing power to maintain its own MM but nah, I'm more of a 'take control of everything' kind of person. Afterwards I had the Destroyer named 'Hikage' or 'Shade'.

I made myself known by surfacing just in front of the USN Fleet.

[Active Stealth... Off]

I love seeing their shocked faces. Of course I had Hikage following me closely underneath while stealth. Afterwards I spent the rest of the journey following them behind in all my Black Steel and Gold Highlight Glory. (Roll Credits. *Ding*)

"San Diego Port, This is Superbattleship 'Fuji', commencing Docking Procedures." I at least had the decency to let them know, not that I'll let them stop me, they don't have the power to do so. I'm working WITH XCOM not FOR or UNDER them.

I stored Hikage in my D-Storage since the water is shallow enough that her figure'll appear under the water for the Mk.1 Eyeball. I then met up with the Naval Port officials who went out of their way to 'greet' me as it were. Then met and got thanked by various seamen and officers who were saved by my timely appearance. It felt good to be thanked, It reminded me that regardless of whatever I am right now, I was once a human. Not that I had any existential nor racial problems mind you.

Later on the talk on the salvage has finally commenced. Both parties agreed that we should split the salvage and be done with it. Literally. And so the honor of splitting the said salvage fell unto me.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Commencing." I let the people watching around me know.
"We read you 5 by 5 Fairy-One, commence splitting of salvage." Rear-Admiral Mark A. Johnston replied. This man was put in charge of the splitting, to make sure that all sides get their share, he also commanded the USN Fleet that 'helped' to take down the alien battleship whom also thanked me for saving his people.

I lifted my bow-mounted hidden high-voltage discharger which I quickly modified early to be a giant retractable plasma blade. People were both impressed and scared at the sight of my 'butcher knife' as it were. I pointed the blade at the bow in the center line of the alien ship and put my plasma blade into work, from the bow my blade slowly melted, as much as it 'sliced' the alien ship. Soon, after 50 minutes of melting, we finally split the ship in half, I retracted my blade and spent 5 minutes configuring it to be a 4 fingers 2 hands configuration which I used to lift my share of the salvage, I then poured a lot of nanomachines which I got by dissolving the some internals of my ship-body, of course all this while I closely watched the breaking down and converting of parts. I never let my eyes wander.

[Gained 9000 units of Nanomaterials.]

Shit! If I hogged the whole thing I could've gotten ~20000 Units?! I could've build 2 Hikage destroyers from it!

....Maybe... I could kill everyone here and get the other half...

Why eat Iowa?
I mean, if you want metal, eat a super large freighter loaded with a cargo of metal.
Now if you want to bring her back as a secondary Battleship hull...

While the SI-OC's database has IJN Designs, SI-OC does NOT have USN Designs... Plus the Freighters are more useful/valuable to the humans (i.e. delivering supplies, materials or taking on refuges from devastated areas) than a deactivated old ship which is not that useful against aliens regardless of their firepower, remember at the earlier chapters that the USN Fleet that's Carriers, Cruisers, Destroyers and Frigates were devastated at range. Also she's been doing nothing but taking up space, so I went ahead and took her.
