Beneath the Calm, a Brewing Storm - An ASOIAF NG

Btw the GOT version of this DlC needs to go a lot deeper than the vanilla version. I want to see secret societies like the Order of the Green Hand and the Others Worshipers.

I've decided to go full North Korea mode now that everyone has like a -80 opinion of me.

I have absolutely nothing to lose anymore.

Who knew giving up your humanity carried such a cost?

I can tell the game mechanics work in a way where the more I abuse my powers as a follower of the Dark Lord, the more bad things happen to me. I'm constantly getting sick, my character is losing any positive traits she gains like crazy. I had to lose an eye in an operation too. I can see how my character has really become a shell of her former self...I've gained a ton of power and just formed the Kingdom of Italy and took Rome from the Pope, and I'm continuously abducting and possessing neighboring counts in order to get them to join my realm...so in many ways I'm more powerful than ever before in this game...but at the same time my character is just falling to pieces.

I wish there was some sort of "repent" option where you can walk your character back from the abyss...in exchange for losing all the powers you gained as a member of Lucifer's Own, but you get a ton of piety and perhaps all your positive character traits back over time. It would be a neat addition to the new DLC. Right now I'm stuck in full satanist mode and I can't leave it at all unless I edit the save files.

It might be like the End the Cycle event from Stellaris. Your Faustian pact with powers beyond your comprehension give you huge bonus but after 50 years the deal comes due and you're boned.

Sure, why not. We can probably charter some Dustin and Mormont ships too.
I was planning on three galleys and a dozen longships as escort.

As for KG...
  1. Gerold Hightower
  2. Prince Lewyn Martell
  3. Harlan Grandison
  4. Barristan Selmy
Those are the only ones I can think of to be pretty certain as members around this time. That one Gaunt knight might be another as he died during Duskendale and Jonothor Darry was Willem Darry's brother so they're probably close in age so he's a...maybe?

Leaves a 7th slot free for whoever you want I suppose.

Tis Gwayne Gaunt you speak of!

Gelndon Flowers? Aegon knew he was a gifted fighter, brave and true and he and Dunk kind of had a weird moment talking about how the likes of them would never be KG so it could be foreshadowing that he ends up getting the place promised his "father". Gives us a name and a characterisation at least.

He'd be 78 now if he didn't die at Summerhall but KG serve for life.

Sounds cool.

Bloody hell, what is it about this game that is making everyone such a pain in the backside?

Now we're arguing about who has a special legal status because you don't have swords in the Iron Throne? Really?

What the actual fuck, dudes. Just because GRMM didn't post a comprehensive list of every sword that makes up the throne doesn't mean it's a "thing". Surrender and regrant is a thing, and works the same as conquest from a legal aspect.

I think our community just has a lot of bad blood, we might have to take a break from the ASOIAF games for a bit.
