Kinda dubious. It would be nice to see WHY they are fighting. And where is Wonder Woman? She supposed to be in it I thought....

I don't mind movies being serious or trying to take themselves seriously, but I'm not sure about this direction.

"Tell me, do you bleed? You will."

I'm reminded of needlessly grim derp and gritty Miller Batman/Crazy Steve as Linkara called him, or the Dark Knight Returns. Hopefully Batman is stupidly aggressive for no reason.

So for the record, is the Batman in the movie a brand new Batman, or is it technically Nolan-verse Batman, just played by a new actor?

For what it's worth, WB at least didn't try to suppress the leak--here's the official trailer:

Can we wait until the movie to come out before the Marvel fans/people who hated the ending of Man of Steel without ever actually bothering to analyze Superman's character arc start bashing it? Please?

What irritates me is that they are trying to play up the Batman and Superman fighting angle.

Everyone and their grandmother knows that they are just going to team up to fight a villain.

Am I the only one wondering why the writers felt it necessary to inflict Marvel civilians on Superman?
Because after Man of Steel, the World Engine literally flattened half a major city and another chunk of it was broken by a fight between god like aliens.

You'd be scared of nukes after seeing one in action, same thing applies here.

In any case it looks like public opinion is very divided. You wouldn't build a statue for Superman if there wasn't enough support for him just like you wouldn't grafitti the thing if there wasn't enough outrage about him.
ugh... another superman vs batman movie... :(
What do you mean another? This is the first time it's being done in the big screen. For the purposes of the general public, the times they've fought in the cartoons don't count.

I think the trailer could do with about...half as much edge? Then it'd just be "dark and brooding" and not "grimderp."

Well duh, Luthor's in the movie.

That scene where we see him standing on the top of the tower... was that a rifle in his hands??? o_O

What.

Goddamnit, don't these people know that batman is a cape who, historically, LOATHED guns. Giving him a gun is like, idunno, just....

Fuck, I can't think of a appropriate comparison.
Yep.

A grappling rifle.

The modern grappling gun wasn't invented until the Burton films in 1989.

I HOPE its just a grappling rifle. More likely, its just a dart gun. Still, batman and guns do not mix.

Very early Batman used a gun sometimes. I was gonna find a nice pic to prove it but it took too long and I gave up looking. Personally, I don't like his distaste for guns- I guess it's part of the character by now, though.

Well best of luck to DC, maybe by 2016 Marvel will be done eating all the money that ever existed. :V

Wow. Batman is... uh...

Batman: "Tell me. Can you see all of me? Walk into my mystery. Step inside and hold on for dear life."

Superman: "Do you remember me? Capture you or set you free. I am all, and I am all of me. (I am, I am all of me)."

Sadly the MCU has monopolized people who are allowed to have fun and smile. This tragic hoarding of good humor has had, as we can see, dire repercussions for their competition. As it stands the only person with enough charm to not take himself too seriously is the Flash and he's been relegated to the land of CW where he has to share living space with Budget Green Batman. Break the Marvel Trust. Let enjoyment be the right of all superheroes, not just the well written. :(

Edit: Oh hey NDT's doing some VA work for the trailer around 0:29. That's sorta neat.
