Canon Omake: Morals And Duties
Morals and Duty
Ethan Marucs breath a sigh as he looked at his watch. Approximately two hours ago at April 23rd 2021he and his fellow Agents followed through Ernst Pederson Orders and launched a Coup detat against the Estovakian Council he looks at the window from the view of his office he can see the President several other Minister's and Officers being marched out by EIB Agents some of the Minister's were glaring at him and if looks could kill him and his entire office would have been a smoking ruin. However Curiously one of the missing Minister from this march was Minister of Education Heins Richard.
Although at the beginning he had no respect for the man believing him to be an Idealistic Buffoon incapable of doing anything without being shackled to his Morals, Ethan came to respect Heins as someone willing to see the best in the person while not being blinded to their darker sides. One of the best examples being When Heinz Called him out for his monstrous proposal regarding how to keep Ernst Pedersen appealing to the people after the Voting when they met in the halls Heins directly called out Ethan as a Hypocrite as he was part of an Organization who played a role in the downplaying of several War Crimes the Estovakian Commited against the Emmerians during their Invasions.
Seeing The man stand up for himself and his beliefs earned him a hug respect from the EIB Director as it had reminded him of his younger self as a EIB agent during the finals days of the war. As everything was burning to the ground around him.
He remembered that dark rainy day when his superior order him to lead a platoon of Estovakian Party Guards to close down a War Camp and burn all evidence of its Existence to the ground and Protect the Men in charge to safety. It's name still bring shivers on the man's Spine.
Unit 531
He remembered in horrid details as he drove into the Camp to investigate it the horrible things that happened in the camp the bodies, the unmistakable waft of sickly smell, the crying of mothers and Children, the Operating room the inhumane surgeries, the sawing oh God the sawing still brought him nightmares, the worse of all was the Indifference of those in charge. To them it was just business as normal some of them laughed and smiled while watching all horrific things they were doing. It made his blood boil in rage all of this suffering and pain was some sick pleasure to them all.
He ordered his men to round up all of the and brought them to the Courtyard kneeling down he took out his pistol and took pleasure as he shot the heads of every bastard running this Hell on Earth. After that he drove his car and brought his men to the City as it was burning and Collapsing from Civil stormed the EIB and shot the Director and everyone he was certain to be part of the Experiment dead. He had every single documents about Unit 531 burned and erased. The only copy of what happened on that site was in his safe as He along with a select few shall be the one to carry the burden of this disgusting truth what the damned Monsters learned and researched from that Camp shall never see the light of day ever again.
He took a large drink of Wine as he tried to move away from that horrific memory and focus on the Present. When Ernst shared his plans for the Coup Ethan was one of the first to be invited into the Coup, as a head director of the EIB his loyalty to the plotters would be needed to pull of this Coup as the EIB was basically the one running the security of more than half of the Capital after the Army and most of the Regular Police force were damaged during the war. It would be the EIB Soldiers who would storm the Council Building and arrested the Council for treason against the State, it would be the EIB Jammers to scramble Loyalist Communication to delay their responses and give time for the Plotters to secure the key buildings, it would be the EIB Agents who strong armed the remaining Loyalists generals to side withthe plotters and convinced officers to rebel against their Loyalists Superiors.
Just Hours before the Coup commenced. Ethan would call Heinz from his home and told him in no uncertain terms to remain at home and avoid going to work today. Heinz Richard would be one of the few Minister's to avoid getting arrested and instead kept his job as the Minister of Education. Hans Burgun was also one of the few to avoid getting arrested from the Coup as he himself opted to stay at home when the Council hall was stormed. He had quickly called Ernst Pedersen on the phone and declared His loyalty to the new Government avoiding his arrest.
As the new flags fluttered across the City The Director hopes that all of this will be worth it and that he did the right choice siding with the King. Once again Estovakia lies alone and Isolated so it shall be the Duty of the EIB to hide in the Shadows once more and secure their homeland. Wether it be a Moral duty to protect the Motherland or cold hard Orders to cover grossly truths the Director is ready to do what needs be done.
He sets his wine down on his desk and left his Office, Several EIB Agents and soldiers gave their military salute as he walked by. Finally he arrived at his destination Ernst Pedersen room, knocking the door slowly he entered the room meeting the King of Estovakia. Recently the king has been pressuring the Military to have Estovakia try free and Fair elections and he had been called by the Military to convince the King that Democracy is not compatible with the Nation of Estovakia and instead use his new powers as Monarch to help the people directly rather than being reliant on a slow moving and ineffective Government.
(Here is another Side Story for you guys. As you can see Estovakia isn't a Saint and has a very deep and dark closet with this room. Also for any of you wondering what the goal of the Experiment was. It was to see if they could replicate a Super Ace like Talisman with little to no Moral Boundaries and Ethical Dilemma as long as they could find a way to make their own super ace.)
