Another start, another life (Anakin Quest)

[X] Refuse the Compel: Pay 1 Fate: The shadow approach Obi Wan and brusquely retreats as the Knight draw his lightsaber, you hear a yelp and both Knights signal you follow them as they sprint to chase their unseen foe.

[X] Compel: Blade of the Jedi: You wait a moment, mindful of the mood and tensely waiting for something to happen. When you spy a shadow going to Obi Wan's side you act by reflex. Your training saber ignites and scores a burn, making the shadow retreat. You see a woman in leathers and already shifting shape but before you can do something, the bar erupts in a brawl. Obi Wan and Qunlan laugh but they don't draw lightsabers. Not that those patrons who receive their share of punch and kicks find it much better. Gain 1 Fate Point.

Also what I would give to see Shimi's face when she realises that two Jedi knights dragged her son to a seedy club practically the moment he touched down on Coruscant.

This is really well-written, and I love Anakin's expanded characterization. Look forward to more.

Unwinding part 2
Unwinding part 2
You wait patiently, which is not your strong suit, but Yoda's warnings have at least touched you. You wait and open your senses. The currents of hostility makes sensing the real threat difficult. You understand some of it. Dealers who resent the Jedi like they resent the Judicials, criminals who would rather you stay out of their business. People who even on Coruscant fear the Jedi and their strange powers for they don't understand the Force. And under this, some true murderous feelings, colder than hatred, moving under the current and waiting for the right occasion. You don't understand how the two Knights can remain blind to this. They continue to speak and joke and drink as if nothing was wrong. Your lightsaber flies in your hand but you turn towards the counter, hiding the weapon until you feel the shadow surges towards Obi Wan.

Teacher Yoda ensured you had a training saber. If you had the true weapon, perhaps the arm of the shadow would be on the ground, but the energy blade still scores a burn. You hear a yelp and a hasty retreat. You don't catch the face of the shadow but a vaguely feminine shape hastily withdraws from the bar, screaming on about Jedi keeping meddling in ordinary citizens' business. Even at nine, you know those who attack you were just waiting for an occasion. Some of them think doubtlessly the chance of shanking three Jedi is a good way to gain respect. They are very much mistaken. They try to be subtle at first, asking Obi Wan and Qunlan to explain your actions. When the two Knights tell them to get bent and left matters alone, one has the bright idea to draw a vibroblade. You hear a sickening crunch as Qunlan passes beneath his blow, takes his wrist and breaks it. Other idiots jump at them. You don't know if they realize how lucky they are, the two Jedi don't draw weapons. Sure the brawlers will have some broken limbs and black eyes but it's better than a lightsaber to the face, isn't it?

Some of them go at you but they forgot two things. First, most people are not that accustomed to strike people much smaller than they. Especially if they are drunk stupid people. Second you are an Outer kid rim. The first thing you think when an idiot in loose fitting robes, the one you remember tried to sell Obi Wan deathsticks, swats you in the head, is that your pal Kister hit harder than him. From the expression on the fool's face when you knee him in the groin, you hit harder than him. He staggers just before Obi Wan socks him in the face and sends him on a table.

Seeing the two Knights is full of instruction. The mass of brawlers are no threat to them and you can notice, they are only defending themselves. The brawlers attack and their own strength is turned against them. You wonder if any of these louts understand their foes are not using the Force, at least not actively. They are enjoying themselves, venting grief and wrath without guilt. It has consequences as none of you see the shadow move beyond your reach, but it was what you needed.

It doesn't last long. Soon Obi-Wan and Qunlan eye each other with a knowing smile. They join hands and you sense the universe answer their call. The impulsion clears the bar in what you are sure Teacher Yoda would call "a gross display of strength". None dare move until the Judicials arrive. Both knights shrug when you ask what will happen. Most of the fighters were small-time crooks, the same you couldn't throw a stone anywhere without hitting on Tatooine. Alas the deeper shadow has departed and you quickly understand you won't find it. Despite their joking tones you sense the Jedi are worrying. Even you can recognize a murder attempt when it is done right before your eyes. You felt the thirst for blood even as you struck. Yet why? Was it simply an opportunity or something planned? You dimly remember the black robed warrior with the red lightsaber who killed Qui-Gon. Perhaps someone was angry with his death so much they put a hit to avenge him?

Even as they give their statement you sense the undercurrents between the knights. They hesitate. While it's sure the mysterious attacker had fled the scene, perhaps they can find a trace in the streets around. Qunlan could with his special gift if he'd find something belonging to them. Yet it would mean walking into a possible ambush, with you in tow. That is not the Jedi way even for the young Guardian. In the end they decide to lead you back to the Temple

[] Pay 1 Fate; Screw that! Convince the two knights the foe you felt is too dangerous to be left unfollowed.

A noob try to shank us, if afterwards we discover than not only is rare for it to happens but also than the dudes didn`t sense the attack then we have an confirmation than some time you need to "sort them out", before that is blood-lust.

Pay our compels early. The plot will escort us to stuff where we can call our compels to help us.
