Sky Child deserves to know about the transgression that was done with his being...and yeah the warriors should be under the Shamans authority

If I'm reading this right, whatever God of the Forest People (probably a Death one) existed basically made the Devourer as a way to siphon the dead off of us (because we sent them out to sea instead of burying them into the ground, which is their domain). Then later as we pressed into them the Forest People made a last ditch attempt to make a purposeful hunter killer to take each of us out? It's weird that they were targeting Sky Child specifically because they were pointedly not taking part in the fighting, just trying to limit harm to both parties.

Independent warriors with a (at least for now) not warlike God is just asking for there to be an eventual conflict between us and them. We have need of someone to protect the People, but we should want them well leashed.

It doesn't sound like it, the Devourer has the Cold domain, this doesn't have that.

We need to discuss matters regarding this short conflict with the Sky Child regardless, so this should also be disclosed as courtesy.

I want the power but we've cut a deal with the Sky Child they're now our ally, and they need to be informed of this.

I'd prefer the people don't become overly reliant on us to manage them.

I was wrong about the forest people. It's not fun to be wrong but this time Im pretty okay with it.

I do think independent or Shaman led are the better choices (raiders could be fun, but then we'd be moving towards Vikings which wouldn't be bad, and I would prefer to be somewhat friendly.

Since we're probably picking up healing soon, the Warriors even independent will still worship us, and ask for our aid. If we give the warriors to the Shamans I think we are concentrating a bit too much power too early, yes leaving the warriors independent will likely cause some conflict with two growing power structures, but as long as they are connected it likely won't massively harm us and our existence.

On second thought, how do they choose their priest again? Is just anyone that dedicates a large amount of their time looking after the community and tending to the shrines? Or is an official title that can be bestowed or inherit?

we need to banish the devourer and develop the death domain very fucking quickly...otherwise the devourer will fuck us over repeatedly.

I like to leave an opening for another god to join our people. We don't have to be a war god, if we leave space for one.

Well the first one was just us trying to be cooperative and as for the second, shamans means more control over the military. How could SV pass up control?
