And your idea of leaving SoPA on in social situations is counterproductive as well.

How? Unless we're at Clarity 5 SoPA has no effect on social situations at all, and at Clarity 5, if we have it active, switiching it makes us very vulnerable in social combat.

It makes us gain Clarity, but whether that's a concern is based on our current Clarity level, less on what's happening around us.

The charm has zero mechanical effect at lower Clarity levels. The problem with it is not the social interactions penalties, its the difficulty with Clarity. If our Clarity difficulty is getting cleared up soon then it's more beneficial to have it on than off in a whole number of ways.

Yeah, as much as I dislike the charm, if it is getting easier to remove Clarity then keeping it on is beneficial. Turning it off for just social encounters is really counterproductive since it either does nothing (if we're low clarity) or costs us massive amounts of willpower (if we're high clarity).

Well it wouldn't REALLY matter when we get to lower clarity, screw our exaltation on straight and get some more social dice, since then we can lose clarity way easier than now.

Beyond that, we actually have specialties in swarm stuff that mostly negates that if it is true.

Do you have a reason for this? I've seen a lot of people (myself included) strike their heels into the ground about 'their' votes in the past and it doesn't tend to turn out well. If you can't articulate why your vote is advantageous, you should really consider changing it, or at least spending the time to actually come up with that explanation.

After thinking for a minute, switched to keeping SoPA on all the time.
 
Obviously we must work up to Clarity 10 then stunt everything to be based around Administration to get those sweet, sweet dice bonuses.

Oh, hum, forgot to mention the Temperance rolls to keep SoPA off.

well 2 is below average right? Even without Clarity we subconsciously kept turning it back on so yeah we'd probably flub a lot of rolls and succeed on a few?

2 is average. On a basic 1-success Temperance check we'll succeed two-thirds of the time.
We should be able to stunt Temperance rolls not to turn it back on by remembering all the various ways we were embarrassed by it, how that relates to the current situation we're in, and how acting inhuman like that might compromise our goals, to pretty reliably get three extra dice for that pool.
 
[x] Shard Training Observations: Get people you trust(namely the Wards we're closest to) to keep a record of any differences they notice in our behavior with SoPA on or off, to bring it to our attention so we can figure out a means of adapting to it's adjustments to our behavior or training the charm to be less intrusive, more acceptable. Establish a schedule of use where SoPA will remain offline for at least one whole day in every three and to keep it off for heavy social activities at higher Clarity. Ensure that it is active for patrols, or any high risk activities.

Would the people who voted for Mum's the word keep in mind that Spread the word means that ONLY our teammates will be told of our nature and NOT the general public and HOW many problems in Worm were cause by secrets? Missy and Aisha are also candidates we're considering for Exaltation.
