Alchemical Solutions [Worm/Exalted] Thread 12: Luminous Loom Lavishes Luxurious Largess

More questions:

- When extruding Jagged Armor as part of a clinch, can she do it if she's currently wearing condensed armor?
- Can she use PDMH as part of this, to have a totally awesome, "Fuck you, clinch of spiky death" aka Shrike love hugs?
I get this reference! Yay! Have a like.

- Jagged Armor and Condensed Armor are, again, mutually exclusive. Once she has extruded even one application of a type, she is locked to that type until she fully resets by absorbing all current applications.
- It counts as a 'brawling aide' just like normal spiked armor, so yes PDMH can be part of it (with the sub-module installed).

Worth noting is that I'm house-ruling Piston-Driven Megaton Hammer so that one installation applies to all limbs. Because one install (and thus, one charm slot) per limb is dumb.

I do not get the reference. Link?

It's not a house rule though. Whatever the visuals of the installation, any attack with an applicable weapon or any body part(including body slams and headbutts if you want) can be enhanced by PDMH. Think of the piston as briefly supercharging your body and weapons with pressurized Essence instead of a physical piston slam.

No link, just a fantastic series of books by Dan Simmons called the Hyperion Cantos.

Giant spiky four-armed death machine. Is almost indestructible, and can teleport through space-time as easily as you or I can blink. Seriously. Time Travel is how he gets around.
One of his favorite methods of killing people is impalement, then taking them to his "Tree of Thorns", where his victims are stuck on 3 meter long bladed that keep them alive and suffering forever.

Pleasant chap, really.

It's been a long time, so I don't really remember what all that thing did, or who made it or why, but he was also terribly mysterious, and I'm still not sure who's side it was even on by the end of the series.

Nope, she hasn't, although Clarity was explained. And I don't think it would really be a canon omake, as that's the kind of thing we would vote on.

I'm personally of the opinion that they easily fit under the "Trust with our lives" list we voted to tell all to. They are our closest friends and the secret is already out via Saint to anyone with the influence to buy it. We need our friends' support, and they can't do that if we don't even trust them enough to tell them what we are.

I say tell at least the BB Wards. There's no reason not to, given that we're going to be semi-publicly adding to our Assembly in the very near future. I don't trust the Philly Wards enough for them to know yet.

Actually, we 'did' vote on it. We voted to tell them, and it hasn't happened yet.

At least not onscreen.
No, we voted to be willing to talk about it with others, not to specifically tell them. We took a cautious approach, but not a guarded one.

I dunno about the Philly Wards. I don't think we are all that close with them, and at least with Broadcast, this runs the chance of the information getting out into the public before we're ready. So far, while Cauldron, Saint, and soon the PRT knows, these are all people who at least knows to keep their mouths shut. We don't want a PR nightmare before we are ready. I would say to wait until at least the day Marrow is scheduled to be returned by Autobot (with her shiny new App 5 score) to tell the Philly Wards and the rest of the Philly Protectorate (sans Chevalier & Bladedancer who'd already know).
Saint is a mercenary, he sells to the highest bidder. And Teacher has a hook into his head too, so Teacher knows as well.

I'd suggest ignoring meta knowledge like that for now. This is not only a 'should we tell people because other people who we didn't want to know now know' but more of a 'should EOA show her trust in people she knows and let them in on the big secret, there by earning more trust from these people she trusts' type question.
Oh, not a factor, just clarifying.

The BB Wards have earned our trust and friendship already. That's all the reason I need.

Privacy is actually easy enough. Get the Twins to take everyone along on an interdimensional conspiracy huddle.

I can just imagine the d'aaaaaaw that could be had when we tell Chris "it doesn't matter to me if you're body is artificial" or something like that.

It would be suspicious to other people if we take all the BB Wards into the pocket. Even if we use Kyushu as an excuse, previously we only took 2 people along at a time. It would be better to take Aisha/Vista the first time and explain it to them & the Twins. Then Clockblocker alone the next time. Then KW & Gallant.

EDIT: Actually, we can probably give the girls a heads up on the existing meditation trip we have scheduled in the next week.
That should be around when we're done with the full circle of meditations as well, so the four girls can get the full dump on the way back.

If we're going to have to talk to Armsmaster and Miss Militia before we Exalt, Marrow, what's out story going to be about why we think she can be trusted with the incredible power and responsibility more than they can, to the degree hat we didn't even talk to them about it before deciding?

For that matter, what's our cover with the PRT hierarchy why we didn't check with them first?

Alratan said:
The meeting with the PRT Heirarchy is likely going to happen before we introduce Marrow's forehead to the pinhole, so it can be hashed out there.

Re: MM and AM. Loom gave us a warning that we decided to take seriously, and Marrow was one of our top candidates close at hand. The transfer paperwork likely wouldn't go through in time (get Dragon to back us up here) to get either of them over to Philly quickly enough. We can also tell them that they are among our candidates as well, in order to mollify and re-assure them.

He's too busy building things to pay attention to his love life. Like Armsmaster does.

He needs someone to smack him upside the head and show him there's more to life. Like Armsmaster needed.

So really, he's like Armsmaster in all the ways that matter. You know, besides being an incomprehensible titan of invention.
I can just imagine Autochton's reaction when we send Armsmaster over.

"FINALLY SOMEONE WHO TRULY UNDERSTANDS ME!"
