[x]Yes, healing John will be a weight off your mind and you are not even asked to fight, only to scout.

Now I'm super curious about this island and a scouting mission seems like a cool opportunity to find out!

She is while traveling yeah, though he would mess with his aim in mounted combat.
Hope to avoid combat anyway so works out.

-[X] Bring Silver as your mount to get there fast and make a quick retreat if needed.
-[X] Ask Inge if she would like to come along to be our guide and point out whatever we can't, she can ride in front of you.

He went into negative HP and then crit failed his first fort save so he has significant internal wounds. You can't really reliably sleep that off.
This bothered me a little, because...
Only one of those who had fallen against the dead had so far opened their eyes, able to prop himself up to eat and even sleep a little. Hugh the elder on the other hand had fallen into a deep slumber which had set a dark expression upon the face of the healer. The wounds about his face and neck had already begun to swell and sour...
...in a way earlier update, John Lorson was the other wounded who started recovering, and could eat and sleep by himself.
The one who went into a coma was Hugh the Elder. There is one more mention of Hugh, about how he opened his eyes for the first time, and then nothing.

Unless John managed to critfail his recovery roll somehow, shouldn't it have been Hugh who is struggling for his life?

The list of Men at Arms doesn't mention Hugh's injury at all.

Edit: This mistake seems to have carried over from the previous update where it was put in a vote.

Adventures! :D

I am not sure if Silver recovered enough after the sea trip.

-[X] Three spearmen and two archers will accompany you. If Silver has shaken off his enforced inactivity from the ocean voyage to your satisfaction, we will ride him. Otherwise, we will ride one of the geldings, as will our men, assuming there are that many adequately recovered for light duty.
-[X] Ask Inge if she would like to come along to be our guide and point out whatever we can't, she can ride in front of you.

eh this is a scouting mission you really don't want to bring that many people especially since they all won't be on the horse so your running away speed is running speed or leaving someone behind

My version of the plan specifically calls for everyone to be mounted on geldings, unless Silver is recovered enough for Roland to be willing to risk him.

The mage hired us precisely to avoid spreading rumors about what we might find.
Taking a bunch of regular soldiers with us defeats the purpose. As soon as they have rudimentary understanding of the language they'll talk about it.

So while you guys decide what to do I was thinking of spending today to make a character index to keep track of everyone. It will keep me from making silly mistakes writing at midnight and will give you guys a useful resource for the quest? What do you think should I do this or just keep on with the story?

Vote closed. I'll work more on characters after this since there is a big revelation coming.
