We'll just need to look elsewhere for more palatable options.

There are potentially many other options beyond the Fire Spirit, ranging from one of the temples in Orinilu to enchanters we haven't even met yet. We're planning to head south eventually, and there are bound to be some of them down that way, too.

See it like this, does a housecat need the strenght of a lion?
As long as Ripper is healthy enough to swim and hunt, he is fine. Not like he needs to fight rivals of his own kind or defend a family against seamonsters.

And besides, time and experience can heal this loss, propably.
 
Another thing I don't like from this. It is going to be reforged with Ikomi's magic. No problem with her, but she is kinda the opposite of Roland's themes of courage, valor and fire.

Ripper is our brocat, though, and I don't want to diminish him. He's saved our bacon a couple times and deserves better than to be magic fuel.

Also, he's a young stud and needs to be at his best to attract the Seacat ladies.
 
UNrelated question, do we have to train to use the Gaunlet without penalties?

It would barely matter, since we plan to use it more as a tool for breaking stuff, than as a regular weapon, but should still be noted.

@DragonParadox , in the previous chapter it was 18 of Elnu-Hamba.

Also, sorry for bothering you, but you did not fixed time anomaly in the 7 arc (and this is a biggest time anomaly in the quest so far). I think there are to solutions: either move events of 7.int1 and 7.7 forward to the 17 of Ashinu-ezna or move events of 7.3-7.6 back on three days.
 
Now that I look at it, Ripper has 6 HD.

He is definitely fine with one less hd, and might even recover that with time.

Still, this is not Roland's style

Considering that's it's just punching stuff, but with what amounts to a metal glove, I don't see any issues with proficiency.

If you want to use it in open combat yes, it counts as a type of weapon Roland has never used before

Fixed the last one, have not had the time to go though the whole timeline yet, I have not forgotten it though.
