So it only costs then one feat, and we can have others learn Deft Maneuvers too, for more dirty fighting

@Goldfish , are you taking into account the Elephant in the Room change about Deft Maneuvers? We only need a single feat for that
Weren't proficiencies always handled narrativly, rather than by feats?
Awesome, that lets them learn Deft Maneuvers. Then at 3rd level, they can either learn Equipment Trick (Net) or the Net Maneuvering feat. I think the latter would be the better option.
Just as a note about the Cauldron hex, you are going to need a holy cauldron of Ikomi, not necessarily magical but blessed to make potions, magical skills are not wholly transparent between various forms of adepts so while Zaia would be fine with a more secular arrangement Inge needs to make use of hallowed instruments, also her potion base always has to be seawater so she would struggle to make them away from the ocean.

Being favored of a god gives benefits, like access to guardian spirits such as the one that allowed Inge to it the vampire just last battle on a re-roll but it also comes with limitations related to the domain of one's patron.
Okay, that seems nicely thematic. How hard is it to get one of those? Or is it something Inge can bless herself with the appropriate materials?

She can either bless a new forged cauldron herself (ritual purity is important so it has to have been a cauldron that was never used for another purpose). Or she can get one from most major temples of Ikomi

@DragonParadox are there limits to what alchemical items Inge can create with her Ikomi's cauldron? Could she make Alchemist's Fire for example?

She can, the fire would burn eerie blue-green like driftwood set alight. Ikomi is not really opposed to the thematic of fire.

Three guesses for what Inge wants to get up the next time we visit a suitably sized market...

BTW, the earlier mention of the EitR rules reminded me of something I meant to bring up weeks ago. Antonio has the Finesse Rogue talent to give him the Weapon Finesse feat, but that's redundant due to EitR. I was looking at alternative Rogue Talents that would fit his character and a few stood out.

Next time another shiny bars your path would you be tempted to take it again?

You got a companion that's an even higher magic expert I will almost expect you to risk another one.

Yeah, all of those work for Antonio. You guys can vote on that as part of this vote if you want.

Coax Information seems potentially really good to widen his conversational abilities. If not that, Hard To Fool seems very strong for important social interaction. He already has bonuses for Diplomacy.

I think that Honeyed Words will be suited for Antonio better. He is the only person in our campany with decent Bluff skill.

Not trying to judge, but it seems weird to actively participate in a quest while also not considering yourself a participant (you instead of we/our). Is that intentional?

Cool. I'll do that now.

Hard to Fool is tempting, but the limited use and requirement that it has to be used before making a check means that Coax Information edges it out for usefulness, IMO. Coax Information also seems to fit Antonio's character pretty well, since he has the Persuasive feat, which normally enhances Diplomacy and Intimidate, but no Intimidate skill ranks to go with it.

Yeah, there is that. My issue with it is the same as with Hard to Fool. Extremely limited uses and the requirement to use it before making the check makes deciding when to use or save it a pain.

But in the situations like meeting with Stout Folk in the Mouth of the World it is priceless. Yes, it's hard to micromanage, but easier than Hard to Fool. We are not sure when we are lied, but quite sure where we want to lie.

We can shore up the Bluff issue in other, more permanent ways I think. Allowing Antonio to use Intimidate seems much more general-use to me.

Yes. I am lurking while commenting. This is a mix of straight out laziness and avoiding responsibility if the rolls go really badly while I voted for it.

I did vote once but only because there wasn't enough votes and I offered mine.
Good luck in your next shiny encounter. The best is no lives lost. Even the redshirts because getting replacements can be a load of trouble.

Maybe. But is not it better to leave Intimidation to big bulky Sir Knight with excellent Charisma?
Not when big bulky Sir Knight with excellent Charisma isn't always there. We need a broad spread of social capability among the characters who do talky things. We can't centralise safely, not least because major wounds could lay Roland up for days or longer due to the limitations of healing magic.

I never actually did RP before but how useful is a jack of all trades class?
