This may have been asked already, but can we assign Princess and Demon to the same task to get two weeks of work done in one week? Or are they not capable of doubling up to work faster?

Finance manager Inazuma is ONLY reason that base function properly.

Oh, yeah, I remember this one now.

Aircraft are produced in flights of 3 (weird size) now, and our Runway only has room for a single squadron (not sure if that's nine or twelve).

A quick search tell me that a flight can go from three to six planes. Mostly, I decided on three because most air units size seems to be multiples of 3.

A sapient abyssal can supervise a project. So long as no one get in the way of the others, so they usually can't work on the same facility.

Our Shipyard is Size 1, all Tenders are at Size 2. That means the Tenders take twice as long, unless I'm missing something.
I'm under impression that on first page listed build times with our current capabilities.

Well, it's partly is an organisation problem. Several small units will get in the way more than one big unit. It's not a hard cap, though.

I also used squadron for convenience, but it may not have been really accurate. Group instead would probably better (or if we use IJN terminology, Kokutai).

Edit : on the construction time given on first page, they're before modifiers, so 4 days for an AS.
 
Depend on the type of planes. An IJN fighter kokutai could be around 45 planes + reserves aircraft for reference.
You can actually build up to three flights (so nine planes) at once. Obviously, this increase the cost accordingly.

So, if i'm understanding it right, it's possible to build and host at our current airstrip 42 planes - every day we build two flights?

Yeah, you can put more but operations will be slowed (and if you're bombed there would be more damages). Different groups flying at once won't be as efficient until you get a bigger air base, too.

Little variation here. I am also considering scrapping most of the aircraft production to outfit our DDs with sonar and depth charges, and I have a more focused operations plan. I Do Not Like(tm) this hidden movement stuff and I want to get a solid defense for our base established.

After we get radar we ought to try and find a way to speed up our ship production or base expansions. We're never going to get past CLs at this rate.

Scout east towards Banda Islands and New Guinea
Most of islands to east of Moluccas Base is scouted already, however, we did not have complete recon of islands to the south beyond 400 miles, so focus should be at Barat Daya Islands and Kai islands (and further south). There a lot of small islands that good (for us) to scout, while scouting big landmass like New Guinea is just not practical at current state, i think.

Moving to complete paranoia state is bit meta-reasoning, i believe. On the other hand, we had guests from Wo's old base.

Different types of planes reduce effectiveness at current airbase level. If you want attack planes, i propose Dive Bombers - you can scout with them more efficiently than TP.

I'm less concerned about New Guinea and more concerned that it's a large enough landmass to be a decent base area for either Shipgirls or organized Abyssals, it's one of the potentially higher-threat areas and I'd like to get a solid idea of whether or not it will be an issue down the road.

As a nominal human population center as well it may be where our random event is coming from to boot.

Okay, I will be merciful and not let you hang yourself this time, but...

Why are you trying to build a shore radar when you're unable to build any radar at all at the moment?

We thinking that historically Akizuki were among the first Japanese vessels equipped with radar. Also AA Hime (You wrote her as a Demon) come with Abyssal Surface Radar, and we have blueprints for her body.

Now, if we get successful research to acquire blueprints for shore radar, it may be possible we don't have MEANS to build one. But it gives us direction in witch we need to move.

West (closest to us) part of New Guinea don't have points of interest.
If you want to scout shores of New Guinea, that it east part and Banda Islands are in completely different directions. It's not bad idea, but i think it needs more specific vote like "Go around New Guinea, check if it has human/shipgirl/abyssal military installations, record anything of note, evade combat."
 
So if shore radar is off the table, our surveillance net capabilities are mark 1 eyeballs, aircraft, and maybe sonar.

Would a sonar buoy net be feasible or should we just trying get up to long range patrol planes like Catalina's?
