Abyssal Quest (Kancolle) : No SV, you are the Water Demon

Runway useless without pilots, witch we currently do not have means to create.
Workshop. If we create equipments, the fairies comes with it.
Barring failure on gathering, next week we will have enough steel to upgrade Factory
Next week. What about this week? I have a policy of ,'time is more precious than anything else'. We could do both this week if:

a)we have enough resources
b)we can build more than one stuff at a time.

Edit:looking back at the haul of resources we got last turn, we could have all 3 of it(base expansion, runway, workshop) if we could build more than one at a time.

I summon thee, @Bki ! Can we build more than one stuff at a time?

Planes will be constructed through the workshop, yes (later, better planes will require higher levels though).
So, a runway shouldn't be too hard to do. You will need pilot for them, though.
There will be probably be a way to get pilots from land based aircraft that don't come from one of the carriers.

As i understand, Workshop is creating planes without pilots.

By the way, @Bki - i was under impression that our planes is eldrich abominations "part of the ship, part of crew". Or workshop creates bodies, spirits animates them and turns to such abominations?

Wait, wait, wait, wait. Are we talking about the same kind of planes here? Is this the human sized planes or the tiny fairy(?) planes?

Both. Abyssal magic.

By the way, I just thought of a way to brainwash Kanmasu: Convince their Fairies. Think about it. All of those fairies pretty much represent the soul of the ship, so just having our eeeeeeeeeviiiiiiil!fairies hand out brochures and point out their grudges in the weirdest boarding action ever should actually have an effect.

And the sight of tiny fairies trying to convince other tiny fairies (using pantomime and cute fairy language, of course) that their shipgirl really has a raw deal and should join our awesome side would be adorable.

Hum... This is tricky... There's no definite canon on the subject (though there's little definite canon on anything).

So, let's see...

Fairies are an existence intrinsically linked to shipgirls (and abyssals). While they're separates existences, they need the presence of one nearby to exist. The vast majority as some sort of "imprint" of the crew, and especially those that died with her.

But not all of them trace their origin back to the crew. The ones that worked on the ship, whether it was during construction, repairs, maintenance... They're also represented. Hence, for example, the constructions fairies.

That's basically it for the shipgirls. But, Abyssals are slightly different, they have a deep connection with those that died at sea. The sailors, obviously. But also all those civilians that the sea claimed for various reason, in war or in peace. And, the numerous aviators that died over the pacific... Their feelings, their regrets, their curses, as they were engulfed into the abyss... They persist, and this is upon what you're calling. This is why shipgirls require a support infrastructure while you can build your own from basically nothing.

Anyway, to answer the question about the workshop...

Your assumptions is not completely inaccurate, but this "possession" can't be dissociated from the building process. That's why specific shipgirls can build some items and not others (Shamelessly making a game mechanisms into something plot relevant!). The apparition of fairies are actually just a byproduct of the construction process into which the shipgirl imprint a part of her to build the item. A destroyer wouldn't be able to create a 41cm gun for example.

For Abyssals, this is still the same, but they can cheat, and can call upon the abyss to transfer the necessaries experience to the item.

You can expand your base or your facilities, but only one at the same time. If the project will be finished during the week, you can start another immediately. If it take several weeks, then the project will continue until it is finished, or you decide to suspend it (in which case you can do another project while it is suspended).

So to build planes at all we need source of pilots? It's true for all planes, or being the carrier we create pilots for carrier-based planes, but need separate source for land-based ones? Also what about flying boats?

Flying boats are great, no way there isn't any :).

Like I said, abyssals cheat, so they can use those imprints of the drowned pilots... Though, given you're a carrier, you only need that if you're building non-carrier capable planes.

...I should write these things down. I have the memory of a goldfish.

Vote change:

Projects:
[X]Shipyard improvement.

Construction:
[X]Ho-class

We need a light cruiser to lead the destroyers. Time to start the Tenryuu Kindergarten!

Operations:
[X]Everyone gather resources. We're still unknown. Use this advantage.

Others:
It's a shame we can't go away from our base. We could've done a reconnaissance and get info about the wor-.....WAIT A MINUTE! We have another ghost in the base!

[X]Get Akizuki Air Defense Demon to go get info about Ternate.
-If there is ANY possibility of her disappear/in danger/can get spotted, run/drift/fly back to base, immediately.
-Same action if anything happens to the base.
-If it's still a bust, discuss with her about our objectives/what she wants.

[X] Firekicker1

Sounds agreeable to me!

*waits patiently for an update like a certain two water demons *

I'm suprised no one noticed us. Are we really that good at hiding? How inconspicuous can a shipyard be?...Oh wait, abyssal magic. :D

Well, we're really far away from everybody, and then there's the whole "I'm either a ghost or a boat with big teeth, whichever lets me screw over more people" trait that our minions have going on for them.

We're literally the dark side of the Shipforce, so... @Bki? Can we hate people to death? Not shipgirls, but can we use killing intent to just stop a random guy's heart if we're close enough?

That'd be a great party trick for when we get all of our sisters back on our side and hold a celebration. :V

Or it will awkward as hell because, you know, we sunk them. :V
Oh please, like we'd ever hurt our dear big sisters like some sort of filthy human. All we'd have done was show them what was really going on. And if we had to embellish, just a little, well, it got our point through, didn't it? So obviously it was okay.

We're the youngest sister, as a type of evil spirit that encourages Yandere mindsets. :p

No?

Why would you even be able to do that?

(On another matter, update will be either this evening or tomorrow).

Okay... War in the Pacific can be surprisingly hard to let go off once you get past the first turn. I will do a pause in the establishment of the co-prosperity sphere to do an update though... (Don't worry, I won't take too much inspiration from it for this quest, it would make things a lot more complicated for me to run)

I think the winning plan is [x] Firekicker1, but if someone want to make a tally to disprove me, then go ahead. I will start writing in less than a hour or so...

I forgot to answer that. The shipyard is adequately sized for human-sized ships, so it doesn't take too much places. You chose a place rather out of the way and with some natural concealment. Not at all appropriate for a regular naval base, but for shipgirls or abyssal, this is meaningless.
