But I want to see Hunger stop that asshole`s sword with one finger. To dance around him while that shitty isekai gamer cannot use observe. And when Ber is laying on the ground without arms or legs, Hunger will look down and say:
"Come back when you are on my level"
"But I am max level"
"LUL what a scrub, imagine having level cap"
 
Guys, pick Hateful Might! He's already on the precipice of mental collapse and he has at least one stack of Ruin on him! And we can apply Ruin from range! This makes our bladewinds way more viable!
 
Yeah, Avenger is so bad it's hilarious. It's Form of Rage, expect it procs less than Form of Rage for less gain. And people are still picking it, after Form of Rage proved so bad we ended up liquidating it into Uttermost.

"But Wolfy", you might ask, "wouldn't it be better to SAVE for our next EFB?". It would; sadly, at this point we are forced to vote in a way that would stop thread making even more bad decisions, so we can't pick truly efficient options.

Still, HDS offers some nice utility, and this option would give us total 0.4 Rank, which is very relevant for our political situation, getting Azure Ring and Crimson Flare.

Thinking about it more Avenger is a bit of a waste. Even if it's a better form of rage, that's not saying much when Form of Rage is so terrible, a proc rate of less than 50% at best is not worth compared to just more stats all the time.

The honing plan gives us 5 agility, 3 wits + 6 Int for combat purposes. This is all then boosted by Edeldross. This should make us more than fast enough to just delimb Sten while still benefiting from the added stats in the future.

Wasn't really on board with taking Honing sans Hero-Defeating but more Stance and more Forebear is always good in my book. Getting the EFB of one tree and wielding all four of the other would be really cool. Another Echo would be nice too, for old time's sake.

EDIT: Actually, gonna see how the vote develops.

The Curse of the Ranklet is strong, but it is better to die fighting it than embrace it.
 
So it looks like basically everyone is voting for age. Which is a little funny, because the quote is that age and treachery win every time, and Sten is thousands of years older while Hunger is in his twenties or so and has only been a cursebearer for like two weeks. If age is what wins this fight, Hunger is fucked.

As for treachery, Sten's mind is rotting away while Hunger is full of clever ideas. Vote treachery.

Eh, I'm not entirely persuaded against Avenger, but it's too powerful for now, so I'm switching to R A N K.

And Vali just convinced me to switch, he even wrote stuff for it already so that deserves some support.

Yeah, I'm surprised treachery doesn't have more traction. It's the easier route in many ways! Guess people just really want to kill Sten themselves!

I don't really think "we'll find it useful in the future" is a good argument for Hero-Defeating Stance since it's literally one of the only picks we could take (with Arete) at any time...
 
HDS strikes me as a huge waste of arete. We're voting to spend 9 arete when we have 6 and could get the job done for 2? It's such a waste of power because we have to unequip Guile stance to even use it!

But Arete towards Hero-Defeating Stance now is insurance for later, while also being much more useful than Avenger. If we have nothing else that's more efficient to pick, isn't that a great time to pick it?

It's a zero pick stance we can get at any time and we already have full stance slots. Why would we get it now when stats build does the job just fine and it saves us 7 arete to spend on EFB's or Praxis options! Don't abandon the Praxis!

Because safety is good, don't you know? We just need one more Rank to have all the Stances anyway. It would be bad for our rewards should Sten damage the ring in his rage, no? Insurance is often the best policy!
 
Passion isn't always easy to get, and should be useful here in talking to him and rescuing the Ring, something Hunger is very passionate about. Also after we get the Evening Sky EFB and the Trinity one this should set us up well to taking Ruling Ring after.
