For my part, yes.

Imagine the number of voters and arguments as inversely proportional to vote complexity and directly proportional to vote importance. The vote is both complex and does not seem to be of immediate or especial. A Build Vote can survive the vigors of complexity, but I think a planned vote for our actions doesn't benefit from complexity all that much.

There's no need for plans, you just select the three options you like the most!

I would argue that the lesser amount of votes is proportional to the lesser amount of shinies.

Now on votes...

[X] Plan Your Trip
[X] Speak with Gisena I
[X] Speak with Letrizia I
[X] Seek Worthy Opponents

Honestly, the only reason I'm voting for Lettizia is because the idea of Hunger giving someone a nickname is hilarious.

Hunting monster's is important for Huger's build and Gisena social is always nice. For us. Fairly straightforward vote.

[X] Plan Your Trip - Choose 3 options below.
Risky, filled with dangers that'll help advance our skills and advances plot.

[X] Speak with Gisena I
[X] Speak with Gisena II
[ ] Speak with Letrizia I
[ ] Speak with Letrizia II

Advances Gisena route. I'm inclined to double down on an any option to gain the most benefit and Gisena seems more useful than Letrizia particularly since we chose Nightmare??????

[X] Errantry
[ ] Errantry II
[ ] Seek Worthy Opponents

Choosing either Seek Worthy Opponents vs Errantry and went with Errantry because it's safer and Accretion Rank is good.

[ ] Learn to Pilot
[ ] Commune with Verschlengorge

Seems suboptimal and little sense of urgency?

[ ] Sleep Heavily

Fairly small benefits.

[ ] The Name of the Curse

Curse would be a long term endeavour, not super critical now.

[ ] Seek out Artifacts

Not guaranteed to succeed.

[X] Letrizia

The optimal name.

Is this Homestuck terminology? I haven't read it.

Yeah. The Alternian paradigm of Romance. Polyamorous, 4 categories, 2 of which are sexual, seeking out a relationship in each category is idea.

Red/Hearts/Matespiritship - What humans would recognize as Romance.
Black/Spades/Kismessitude - Hate romance, sexual, archrivals with benefits, ideally mutually beneficial/spurring both parties to greater heights.
Pale/Diamonds/Moirallegiance - A Moirail is in troll society(which is a hyperdarwinistic casteist hellscape where their homeworld is basically Battle Royale/Lord of the Flies/Hobbes's State of Nature by design) a friend close enough to have serious mental health conversations/feelings jams with, some degree of physical affection is fine but it isn't sexual, this category is important because Troll society has a sizable number of unstable individuals susceptible to violent rampages.
Gray/Clubs/Auspicitude - This one is a bit weird, basically, it's when one Alternian/Troll mediates between two other feuding Alternians/trolls, for reasons like one party being unable to handle being in a Kismeissitude with the other because they aren't worthy opponents, prevention of Black Adultery because Kismeissitude is an exclusive relationship, and general concern about the well being of the feuding trolls.

Edit: Extending on this, Quadrant vacillation is when two trolls end up switching between quadrants, which can be problematic if they already have relationships in the quadrants they're vacillating into.

Note that you do get fights automatically regardless of option picked, since Astral Rifts will spawn monsters targeting Verschlengorge regardless!

The Stage II options are typically more efficient!

Patrician taste, friend! Jokes aside, it is important to establish consistent principles for the protagonist with the Tyrant's Doom in play, and even the smallest positive implications for his character are worth snagging. Plus, this lets us play the straight man to Gisena's overly-familiar antics.

This is social interaction, not rocketry, though Gisena might find the comparison flattering.

We might want to talk to letrizia more so we can learn about this place. Best to have an native ally.

Btw guys, if you're voting to fight (or any of the riskier options), do realize you don't have any magical healing options or Immortal Sheathe. You have some baseline power and Gisena's backup but the build you took has less direct combat strength than any of the other builds. It's very possible for risky engagements to land you into hot water! Now, when you reach civilization in 2 (or however many) months, the increased mental and social stats may serve you well as they did this update, but it may not be prudent to act greedily here if you're not comfortable with risk.

Or, at the very least, you'll need to kill something strong fast so you can get more power so you can add more combat capabilities to your build. Or pilot the robot instead of fighting outside where your vulnerable flesh can be wounded.

But we can have more fights!

Taking what Rihaku said in mind, might be wise taking piloting+killing something to throw a safety net, especially taking into consideration Aprocyphal curse.

We are in a situation that would make it ideal for it to trigger to screw us. Might be wise leaving social for once we reach civilization.

Ah, but if people show they will vote for combat regardless of the risks then they enforce incentives to vote for combat enhancing upgrades to our magic powers!

I have no regrets Gisena is the only path. I really enjoyed their banter in the last update so I'd like to see more of it and worthy opponents lets us sprinkle some fight scenes and build votes in there as well.

I'll accept the signature deal at 0.05 since I rarely post in other quests anymore.

But if you get wounded and can't fight then it'll create a death spiral where you're unable to get combat enhancing upgrades because you can't fight!

Accretion does lack outright magical healing unless you have a relevant power or artifact, unlike Battle Magic and Seals, so the risk of something bad happening to you is significantly higher. Of course, your Rank makes it hard to land telling blows on you and lets you heal more completely from most types of wounds, but there are limits to both and you can certainly be ground down over time and repeated engagements!

Since you're fighting a considerable number of enemies regardless of which option you pick, it may be wise to avoid picking options that cause you to fight even more enemies unless you are willing to risk it all on getting a useful effect!

Why did we even pick Hunger via Luna Conqueror if we aren't going to be fully exploiting Hunger's benefit to powerlevel by killing monsters?

-[X] Speak with Letrizia I - The girl seems fairly intimidated by you. Perhaps you came off as harsh. Put her at ease. +Letrizia.
-[X] Learn to Pilot - As you are bound to the Ring Hunger, your learning speed outside battle is slightly worse than an average mortal's. The intricacies of the Armament are easy to learn, difficult to master, and many functions are incomplete or unavailable due to its state. Still, there is time enough for the fundamentals of movement.
-[X] Commune with Verschlengorge - There is something here, something of great import, though you feel little sense of urgency... Req. Learn to Pilot.

As Rihaku mentioned earlier, Hunger benefits from any goal when pursued with sufficient desire and vigor, not only combat.

Minimizing risk while maximizing utility at this juncture seems wise. Build rapport with allies, slowly gain Rank through low-medium risk quests.

[X] Speak with Gisena I

Curse Mitigation (especially Apocrypha) as soon as possible is a gimme. Plus we're going to we companions for a fairly long time, so we should start getting to know her better. But not so quickly as to come off too easy!

[X] The Name of the Curse

Follows up with some more research on our Curse. Perhaps we can learn to utilize its power? If we can direct even a fraction of it, we'll gain a powerful offensive option for when our social build needs more persuasive arguments.

[X] Speak with Letrizia I

Someone with one of the most powerful mechs, even if it is injured and weakened, in this setting is undoubtedly Important. We'll pilot it yet! Preferably after learning to in the middle of an important fight. She's also a Duchess, so her support could mean more resources inclined in our direction when we join civilization.

And most importantly, it lets us give her a nickname!

[X] Zee

We've taken on the mantle of Sloth, so remembering more than a single letter is too bothersome.

Would you like to sell out your signatures for power? Then I've got a simple transaction for you. Within the next few updates I'll introduce the mechanics for advancement, including the two progression resources Experience and Arete. The latter is the equivalent of Beyond Points from Even Further Beyond, at a rate of ~2.2 Arete = 1 Beyond Point.

You may receive .05 Arete per month for advertising this quest in your signature, or .1 Arete per month if you post a lot in threads other than this one. Indicate which type you are applying for when you make your post. We are on the honor system here but it's pretty easy to check posting history. If someone volunteers to aggregate these and keep signature counts updated, I'll double their personal Arete per month from this source.

Fanworks, thread participation (posts, likes, etc) and the like will grant Experience or Arete as well, with a bonus for misc discussions unrelated to the current vote.
I'll take that 0.05 signature.
