NASA is shocked after its Opportunity rover finds itself in a jungle-like world where Dinosaurs still roam the Earth. Mars, now known as the Primitive Planet, gains a lot more notice in recent media, especially proof that life exists on Mars. A colonization effort is planned for either 2030 or 2040. One of the greatest things to come of this was the 2015 film Primitive, about Mark Watney, an astronaut who must learn to survive on Mars.
EUROPE
LazyTown (aka Latibær) becomes a tourist spot for Iceland.
ASIA
In Japan, yokai begin to invade to look for love, which the country accepts. 55 million yokai exist in Japan today.
Haruhi and her group begin searching for the supernatural. Some believe she is a god, others believe she is a powerful yokai. After a message from the other members of the SOS Brigade, the B.P.R.D. works to keep Haruhi's powers a secret from her.

The Philippines got transfered to the British Empire in 1763. It is now a colony of Great Britain.

In the eve of the new millenium, modern day Philippines gets replaced by a version of the Philippines that became a british colony during 1763.
Said version of this country is part of the Commonwealth of Nations.
How's that?

The Kerbal Space Program is funded by NASA and the B.P.R.D. to get them back to Kerbin. They do make colonies on the Moon.

All the ostriches at the Cawston Ostrich Farm are replaced with members of the genus of Terror Bird known as Paraphysornis in 1889.
Lady Jane Grey is brought forward in time to 1998.
Louis XVI becomes immune to beheading on January 21 1793.

Killer Klowns appear and terrorize Colorado and the Western US for years until stopped by Delta Green.
