What happens when an island that is technically not recognized gets sent over a hundred years into the past?

Well, when the island is Taiwan and the year is 1911, then you're going to have an island full of people trying to change history.

And a world of people who might have similar ideas.

Or to put it another way, "GATE without nationalism or being weird about it… and in Taiwan."

For the record, I don't really have any opinion on Taiwan/RoC/whatever you want to call it. If you want to debate about that, find another place.

I'm here because I want to see M60 tanks fight WWI armies.

Flag of the Nanjing Accord (Adopted c.1919) New

Symbolism:

The lotus at the center represents the strength of the Accord and a "rebirth" of Asia in a post-colonial era, while the circle represents the unity of all member nations.

Color-wise, the jade background represents balance and peace between the members, while the gold represents a shared abundance and prosperity.

Flag of the United Republic of North America (Est. 2025) New

Symbolism:

The five colored stripes on the right represent the five major regions of the continent: Canada, the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central America, while the white stripes separating them represent their past as separate nations before unification.

The black background on the left represents the uncertainty of the future, while the white star represents the hope and optimism of a now-united North American people.

Flag of the Federal Republic of West Africa (Est. 1942) New

Symbolism:
The red stripe represents the revolutionary spirit that created the West African nation, the black represents the West African people, and blue represents the justice and freedoms enjoyed by all West Africans.

NOTE: This flag is also known as the "African People's Flag" on account of being adopted by leftist and anti-authoritarian Pan-Africanists as an alternative to the older red-black-green tricolor known as the "Garvey Flag." The latter, designed by American activist Marcus Garvey, is often associated with the latter's opposition to socialism, his authoritarian views, and his support of the Nationalist-backed government during the Liberian Civil War.

According to historian Dr. Wilson S. Moses in his article "Garvey: A Reassessment," the Garvey Flag "represents the vision of an Africa that is authoritarian, racist, elitist, fascist, and capitalistic, which could come from somebody who never set foot in Africa," whereas the African People's Flag "represented the freedom, fraternity, equality, liberty, and socialism enjoyed by countless African people."
