(look nervously)
anyway...
since we are playing the speed game, let's double down that with a combat knife or something light and fast, maybe some needles or short sword or a rapier?
or we go for the axe for a momentum based fighting style, get enough momentum and hit them like a car with a blade in front of it.
We could take inspiration from Iori and go with multi Weapon style. Not now since that'd take a lot of cash but eventually.
I agree with either a Combat Knife/Shortsword/or a One-Handed Axe to start and build our style from there.

We will still need to get strength augments later on regardless.

Last time around this damn discussion came up, we ended up choosing hit and run and were left in a bad position now being able to basically be 0 help against anyone with high defense.

You can have all the speed in the world but if you do 0 damage in the close quarter we will be stuck in this situation again once we progress to a higher rank and face a stronger enemy.

Get some goddamn strength enhancement. We area already more than fast enough.

I would agree with the strength enhancement, but I'm iffy about wielding Rookwood's Axe when Ciel's build and fighting style doesn't suit it at all. Can we sell that off and buy another more suitable weapon along with the strength enhancement?

Guys guys guys. We have the money, and we have the opportunity. You know what I want for weapons? Wires. Workshop wires. Like, we get a set of gloves that releases really sharp wires, and this should suit our hit and run tactics, even if it does lean toward battlefield control. For details, maybe this: A set of gloves that can release and retract multiple very sharp wires with a quick gesture. The gloves have contain several types of toxins that can coat the wires, along with a cleaning system to replace the toxins, and the wires themselves are made of a durable and sharp material. The toxins range from paralytics, pain enhancers, plain old poison, etc. and most of them only need skin contact to take effect, though they will of course be much more effective if they actually enter the body

Yeah. It was just a question honestly.

The axe seems really strong, but we ended up with a build completely unsuitable for it anyway.

Can we do that & Sell The battle axe to buy a weapon that matches our play style? Actual Question For Naron.

What I was thinking of was throwing knifes with wires attached to them, that you can pull back to manipulate and such. You can add the rest of the stuff in play too.

Get a spear. Please for got sake just get a spear. We don't have the skill to utilize that kind of money-eating kind of weapon yet.

On a side note, there is an alternative use for the axe. Don't sell or use it. Give it to Dexter as a memorial of Rookwood. Dude just lost what might have been his best friend, and the axe would be nice for him to keep. I don't think he really reached a point where he collected his thoughts yet back then.

[] Plan: Selling out and buying in
-[] Sell the battle axe for a good price.
-[] Get base strength enhancement.
-[] Use the money you get from the battle axe to buy a Halberd.
--[] Name it Rookwood

...Yeah that's something to note yeah. This is the pre-SoL world. So people aren't as aware.

Letting Dexter keep a memento might keep him from being more influenced by the ecosystem of the City.

[X] Plan: Selling out and buying in

Motarium - 1 hour bud.

Maybe a Spear/Lance that can change from short to long-range? Like with an extending and retracting handle that we can swap from depending on the situation. Best of both worlds of the small quickness of a Knife/Short Sword and the use of a spear.

But this is the right time! We are getting our first real weapon, and I know enough about SV that we will probably stick to a spear the next time we get to choose a weapon. Besides, now when we still haven't really ingrained the habits of one particular weapon is the best time to train with a difficult weapon.

ya, I don't think wielding the axe would be a good choice unless someone can put forth a good argument for it. So I think the decisions here would involve this for now:

1: Buy a workshop weapon
2: Get a strength augmentation, and pick up one of the weapons the thorn had

Then, decide whether to sell the axe to get a better quality on one of the above, or both things, or to give it to Dexter instead.

(Also... what ever happened to that guy in the office that was bragging about his halberd made of chainlinks? Can we just take that?)

...This is the same thing again...

"Oh~ But it's not that bad! We can just learn how to use our legs well! And kicking and attacking with momentum will be great!"

->Ended up dying twice, and not being of help much because you can't even kill them in a single hit like you'd have been able to if you took the full body enhancement (these were just unaugmented folks).

No one will teach us this time around if we go for a difficult-to-use weapon. Dexter won't be there to teach us how to use wires. We will be on our own entirely!

Call me crazy, but I doubt a full body enhancement back then would allow you to one shot people like that. We might be able to lose less lives maybe, but I think the outcome would actually be similar unless we had a better plan than before.

No no, I think you are missing something here. Parvati mentioned that she got a discount on her second augmentation. This means that it is indeed possible to get a discount for things as part of a marketing strategy. Since Naron said that we can be as specific/vague as we want, that means that what we vote for, we will find. What I am thinking is we look for a Workshop that is also offering lessons on how to use the weapon that we buy.

Edit, also, I dont really see your point with the deaths, since Naron explicitly said that those were basically unavoidable. Also, we wouldnt have been able to kill them in one hit anyway, since it was already noted that a full body augmentation was weaker in exchange for versatility

Naron themself said that unless we ran or got an augmentation that matched the situation we didn't know was going to happen deaths were going to happen to us in this update. I'm not saying strength augmentations aren't smart but we need to play off our fighting style while thinking of ways to improve it.

You know what? Vote what you want.

We can switch timelines the next time we die again anyway. Go buy a banana that can transform into a gun if you want "fancy" weapons that badly.

... Dude calm down we're still in the planning phase rough drafts and ideas are still being thrown around.

And that is it for the Moratorium. Vote away!

A regular weapon yes, but not from a Workshop. If Ciel does not take it, the axe will be sold by default, but the proceeds split three ways; that is not enough to buy proper quality of a second thing unless you want to bankrupt Ciel. Keeping it technically 'tricks' Parvati and Dexter out of some money they would otherwise get, but neither of them will care much about this one.

Oh, so there is no way to keep the axe for dexter to remember rookwood by?

Doubt this was gonna come out any different even if we choose other type of augmentation, sure if we can get a Strength one then we can kill 5 or more before getting tired but then 8-10 people Dogpile on us? come on, man, stop being petty.
But anyway, Let's get a decent weapon.
Halberd feels good enough, somewhat like a spear but you can also swing it to open someone's skull like a can opener.
Or blunt weaponry, since we already have experience with that.

Maybe a transformable weapon? Like my extendo spear/lance from earlier?
