A Play of Blood and Shot (ASOIAF NG)

Have you MET Chaso?

Which reminds me, @EliudFS1, more starks and Daethon when?
Soon. Sorry about this, drove 550 miles yesterday to be back home for Easter. Currently spending time with my family before I drive back to college on Monday. It's been wrecking my SV time something fierce.

It's not walking 500 miles, but hey, its driving.

Also, concerning greyscale. The Starks might be able to cure it. Or at least greatly help with it. Our knowledge of Rhoynar magic is quite considerable thanks to our collection of Rhoynar water gems and 100+ years to experiment/research it. Though I assume progress would have been painfully slow at times.

But then again, Aethan is Aethan... Him owing his life to the Starks might just short-circuit him. :V

I thought the Starks gave up their water gems? No? Am I imagining things?

Hmm.

I feel like the Starks having Rhoynar magic in addition to their own (very considerable) skillset is perhaps overkill, at least without intermarrying with a Rhoynar at some point, which I don't believe they have ever done.

I got Rhoynar water gems in the original game through some background deals with the Faith of the Seven. Concerning the need for Rhoynish blood, I managed to get around that with some blood sacrifice of actual evil and criminal Rhoynish men.

The research and stuff I did with the Rhoynish was mainly to cover the water element, as its the only one outside of the perogative of the Old Gods proper. Them being gods of the earth and forrest and all that.

We never did give the water gems up. Why would we? By the way, fun fact, I got those gems all the way back in the time of Cregan. Around the time of the trial by seven of the Arryns. A longgg time ago.

Although I admit. It would have been a very slow progress. But a century is a century after all.

Edit: And indeed, it is overkill. Like the dragons. At the time I was doing everything in my power to provide a large enough deterrent against them. To this day perhaps.

I think I'm confusing it with Volantis who gifted/traded me some water gems. Hmm.

I mean...I can't really give an unbiased opinion on it. A hundred years is a long time and at the same time nothing in the grand scheme of things. Controlling all four elements is a lot in my book, as is absorbing/mastering the magics of other cultures just by sacrificing some of them. Like I'm not sure how that would even work as a go-around...you still don't have the blood in you to accomplish (whatever).

That throwaway dragon jibe seems cheap, the two aren't really comparable at all. Dragons are canon, an university beyond the Wall churning out weaponised greenseers/Rhoynar water wizards who keep trying to warg whales and dolphins and dinosaurs for military purposes...a small step away from canon.

Those ideas you are throwing where discussed and rejected.

My whole militarized magic users have always been limited to 30 wargs, nothing more, nothing less.

Canon is also the breaking of the arm of Done. I don't claim to have that power, nor will I ever have the power to break continents. But such a feat requires an incredible amount of control of the elements.

Also, who said I mastered Water magic? I got no delusions of knowing anything but the basics.

Hell, the faith had some sinister plans with those gems. Stuff way more worrying and horrifying than my parlor water tricks.

@Theravis

Any issue with how that reunion went? They came and even brought the grandchildren for some of that precious 'good faith', He was just too...Aethan for it to end particularly joyously.

And since 1 is true.... well, he's not sure he likes how they turned out under Daena.

It's a vicious cycle of them really not caring what he thinks about who they are/how they were raised, and while they harbour Dagon/Daethon etc no particular ill will, Chaso deserves to die for her crimes and vague warm feelings for long lost half-siblings don't cover it.

To which he told them: She's willing. Go kill her.

Why exactly do they hate Chaso?

Is it just an obligatory thing for Vel to say "my characters hate Ther's characters", kinda like how the North's thing is marrying Elf Lolis?

......She may have had their mothers executed for their involvement in abducting Aethan. It was later discovered that his abduction was to avoid an assassination attempt.
