I would have thought Kaiser would never have order them to approach Taylor at her home esp. with E88's past history with New Waves (though this is an AU maybe that never happen and the rules were never enforced).
 
@AlSmash. First, I love this story and this newest chapter. You did a great job with all the characterization and all that.
I'm excited and because of that, I feel compelled to ask. What is the current update cycle looking like.? I'll cry, literally cry, if I have to wait about five months, dear.
 
Good chapter, only criticism is that you could use some sort of page break when you swap perspectives. I thought Taylor was victor for a little bit when you switched to him.

Let me put it like this, in terms of bomb production per centimeter Konan-Taylor>Bakuda. Konan threw at Tobi something in the vicinity of a million to a billion explosive tags. What makes it better is that Tobi was forced to use a Forbidden jutsu to escape.

She could also turn into paper and make paper clones. Trust me, Konan was one of the most dangerous Shinobi to ever appear in the Naruto verse for good reasons.
 
@lazyminx I'll be honest, I cannot, and will not, make any further concrete promises, since there is a lot of pie on my face in regards to my previous update taking a century and a half.

A lot of it stems from the fact that I got stuck on the part, had a stroke of ADD, and wandered away from it, hoping I'd get an idea in the future. I'll be honest and say that the drive to write Papiergeist kinda just disappeared. The last couple of months have just been between see-sawing health, working almost every day, or being on standby to work, and just total apathy to writing on existing works (I wrote four entirely new stories >_>). As a result, it wasn't until two weeks ago, after reading Wyvern, Taylor Varga, Magical Girl Lyrical Taylor, and Railgun (RIP becuzitswrong), that I finally found a groove back and an actual drive to write.

So, right now, my current focus is to finish Ice and Fire Book 1 (It just turned 4 years old, and just passed 5 months in not updating), then I'll probably swing back to Papiergeist or Ex Nihilo, so the current, tentative goal, is to update sometime this month, but I promise nothing.

@Nashk Yeah, I didn't catch that my split was deleted. I've found that in order for me to actually get the story transferred from Google Docs, I have to first run it FFNs doc page, so it keeps all of my italics and bolds, before transferring it to here. Unfortunately, FFN has a nasty tendency of wiping my breaks and I just wanted to get this out to you, so my bad.

speaking of which, do you think she can just, leave some paper somewhere so that if her main body is about to be killed she can reappear there?

There's a reason its Victor he sent, and had him come visibly unarmed. Kaiser paints himself as a benevolent ruler, and offering protection to the downtrodden and wronged, who's abuser was of a "Lower Race" is fucking PR and Morale gold to the man. Hes just got to trust that Victor will remember to be civil and to not make any direct threats.

Of course that needed Armsmaster to not fuck that all up.
 
IDK it would seem more appropriate to just give call rather then ambushing Taylor at her home with a group.

I feel like these actions would suit someone like HookWolf rather then Kaiser.

Doesn't matter the presented intent though, by sheer virtue of their presence the threat is implied. They wouldn't take no for an answer.

Well, time to see what the second half of Taylors plan is, using Ninja knowledge.

Hope someone is recording this and it gets posted to PHO. Some of Taylors statement is a little unfair though, even if true in the broadest of sense.

So how often will this update? I really want to see where this goes, and having to wait so long for this update was not pleasant.

I believe that Taylor specifically called in the PRT and is hoping to escape in the confusion. Further I agree with @Krazyfan1

Victor mentioned that he couldn't get anything, which he wouldn't if that was just a paper doll.

This is a massive trap to somehow get Taylor out of this situation, or alternatively 'killed'. The most deadly ninja is the one you 'know' is dead after all.

@Phantomman101 My current goal, barring being called in tomorrow, is to finish Ice and Fire Chapter 49, from there, I will likely go and at least start 1-4, if not work a bit of it through. A lot of my writing is now heavily dependent upon my health and work status. If I work, then the probability is nothing will get done that day, and if I'm on standby, it's a 50/50 chance I'll do work, depending upon my mood. So basically, I'll try and get another chapter out by mid month, (I work 4 of 7 days, and usually on standby the other 3), but like I told @lazyminx , I guarantee absolutely nothing.

Sorry if that does not satisfy you, but it's honestly the best I can do.

Well; you're writing these stories gratis. We, as readers, can only really say 'boy, I enjoy reading' and 'boy, I hope the author is able to give us another chapter soon.' Selfishly saying 'no, ignore your life and job for our personal satisfaction' doesn't work; you get burned out of the stories faster and that's if you care to try in the first place. Personally, I'm grateful for what you can manage, though I'll always hope for more.
 
I think the reason Victor decided to go with the approach that he did is because he has likely stolen negotiation skills from someone. They're likely telling him that such matters are best handled face to face.

@shinkicker444 Yeah, I read that they can do that, but then read that you had to be a certain amount of posts. I submitted a ticket, but since the profile has been inactive since 2005 and had only 20-something posts, the likelihood of a name change is positively nil.

Thanks for the latest chapter(s).

Looking forward to how the story advances and how the 3-way standoff (E88, Armsy and Taynan) in front of the hebert household will turn out.

Personally, i'm hoping Konan has some ninja variant/method of "get off my lawn you punks!". Though it might not be that advisable long term, it would still be humorous.
 
And now Taylor gets to yell at Armsmaster for spying on her and causing a fight in front of her house!
