While swords are cool, punching things is cooler. Broadly speaking specializing in Rokushiki in general seems more useful than swordsmanship. Oh, you can do some crazy stuff with a sword, but you can do crazy stuff without a sword too, and the Six Styles have a great deal of promise!

I'm down with swords. Personally, I'd swap out Prideful for Lustful, but that's not a deal breaker for me. Though the idea of being a strange Zoro/Sanji mix appeals to me.

Actually, switching Wrathful with Lustful would be ideal there, because then we'd be the type of person who annoys both of them, and then they'd be forced to agree on something, which would only annoy them more.
 
Come on People there are a ton of people who use fists and a TON of people who use swords can we PLEASE do something that is not the norm????

I much more value Rokushiki over a weapon. Rokushiki is more than just martial arts, it's superhuman ability turned into a martial art.

A weapon is just a weapon.

I'm going to ignore - just for this post - the rest of Enjou's build and make this one point regarding Haki.

Choosing to boost Armament Haki rather than getting Conquerors (or to a lesser extent Observation) is a huge waste. In order to move from Untrained to Beginner (in any of them) we require a trainer whereas all other ranks only need exp points.

The number of people who can teach us to use Conquerors Haki is tiny (probably single digits), and even if we find one of them convincing them to actually do so will be insanely difficult. Passing up this opportunity to skip that hurdle entirely is, well, I said it already... It's a majorly wasted opportunity in order to be a little tougher when it's completely unneeded.

We are a pirate, let's get a sensible western saber, cutlass, or rapier (SM: Pirates?) and swashbuckle our way through the grand line.
 
Enjou's build is sub-optimal, very much so. We would need to find a teacher to train us on Conqueror, while we would depend solely on ourselves to improve Armament. Unless Rayleigh or Boa are cruising around looking for an apprentice, I think finding a teacher is going to be very difficult. So let's go with it and work on Armament by ourselves.

Would you be willing to swap Veteran Armament for Beginner Observation? I LOVE the rest of your plan, but we can increase Armament on our own, and we need a trainer for Observation and Conquerors Haki. Choosing Observation now means we don't have to search for a teacher later.

Also for everyone saying a armed fighter is better then a unarmed fighter? My response is three words. GARP THE FIST! That is all.

The point of his plan is to be a speedy brick, hence why he's maximizing on that. Veteran Armament means that we're as good at it as post-time-skip Luffy.

I like the idea, I really do, but I don't think it's optimal. I LOVE the unarmed aspect, and Soru is my style of choice, both for the sheer speed it grants, as well as it being half the puzzle to fighting in mid-air.

I love the strength and Durability choice as it fuses well with the previous choices, but choosing to increase Armament over Observation leaves us with a massive weak point. Sure with the increase in Armament we could match time-skip Luffy, but even he hasn't mastered always having Armament on or allowing even a instant of full body usage.

If we don't know a attack is coming, weather because they are too far away, or moving to fast for us to react with normal instincts, then we're screw. It doesn't matter if with Armament we could tank a cannonball to the face, a sniper from behind could kill us before we even activate it. Observation is battle precognition that can even reach the level of mind-reading. It is a critical skill that we should learn as soon as possible.
 
By the way I just noticed our name is Morgan D. Bartholomew. That means Kuma Bartholomew is likely our dad. The Revolutionary Army Commander, Shichibukai, 'Tyrant', Wielder of the Paw-Paw Fruit, and future pacifista is our dad. Wow, we are screwed/blessed.
