You are a standard hikkikomori NEET; a recluse, spending barely any time out of the house, and instead you spend the time wasting away your days. Your typical day consists of waking up, gaming, surfing the internet, and sleeping. You have nothing special about yourself - no superpowers, nothing outstanding or unique - certainly nothing that would make you worthy of being the protagonist of a Quest.

You're bored. No, perhaps you are disgusted with yourself for creating such a boring life for yourself. You want to be successful. You want to be happy. You want to change.

In a flash of both inspiration and utter insanity, you concoct a plan to allow...certain otherworldly beings to influence your life for the better, or so you hope. With a mix of hesitation, curiosity and determination, you switch on your computer, and log in to SufficientVelocity.

Hi guys, this is my first quest, and I'll try to do my best! Note that the QM PC can and will veto certain actions, even if unanimously voted for, if the action is unreasonable or the PC's personality gets in the way. Votes will be weighted and biased to an unknown amount. Note that time in-quest will run 1:1with real time.

Disclaimer: Names, characters, businesses, places, events, locales, and incidents are either the products of the author's imagination or used in a fictitious manner. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental.
This is also most certainly not a meta self-insert quest.

Family
You close your eyes and think of your family. Their faces are a blur and their voices forgotten.
Your father is a successful man who loves his job, and he spends his entire day at work and only comes home late at night, if he isn't overseas on yet another business trip for another few months. He loves you, you think, but you don't see enough to know.

Your mother is rarely home either, spending most of her day out with her friends or shopping for more ten-thousand dollar bags, but you prefer it that way. At home, her time is divided between being on Facebook on one of her numerous iPhones of every edition, drinking, mocking you for your worthlessness, beating the stupidity out of you, or all at once. She is, at best, a leech feasting off your father's tireless work.
You hate her.
Or you did, at least, before you just stopped caring and tuned her out of your mind and life.

You are a product of poor parenting, but you know that you are no better. You are the epitome of an unproductive member of society, after all, and can only truly blame yourself for that.

Oh, and you have a dog too, your only friend to stay with you through all your loneliness.

You decide to exercise to exercise for the first time in months today. You want to improve your health, and perhaps, the endorphins released after exercising our help to improve your mood. After making breakfast for yourself and changing up into some exercise gear, you head down, out of your house, and enter the gym. But you stop there, for you realised you haven't made any plans outside of the fact that you want to exercise.

Do you
[ ] Use the gym
[ ] Exercise outdoors instead
[ ] Give up and return home

How do you want to exercise?
[ ] Lie down, and exercise restraint from moving your body any further
[ ] Walk around for a few minutes
[ ] (not familiar with ways to exercise, write in how you want to exercise)
[ ] The Saitama Workout

Exercising, pt2
[X] The Saitama Workout
If you are even taking the effort to exercise, you might as well go all the way, should you not? After all, pain is but weakness leaving the body, and your weakness you shall rid.
You begin with the pushups and sit-ups, alternating between them after every 20 of each, until you reach the 100 for your goal. Then, you walk towards the treadmill, and begin the dreaded 10km jog.

Pain. Pain is all that you can think of, and all that fills your mind. Your lungs are on fire, your legs are cramping, and you feel like a stake was driven through your heart. But you push through, for your weakness is just in your mind, and you are stronger than that. You are in control. You...

Your vision goes dark, and you stumble off the treadmill, only about 2 kilometres into the run. The emergency brakes on the treadmill go off, and you collapse onto the floor beside it. You feel dizzy, your stomach hurts, and you have a splitting headache. You barely manage to crawl to a nearby toilet before vomiting into the toilet bowl.

-[X] When we fail the Saitama Workout, attempt something more manageable
You are in no shape to attempt standing up, let alone any more exercise

--[X] Pull up some beginner exercise videos on Youtube and follow along as best as we can
...goodnight

Goals
You get up and take a shower. You still feel as if you had been hit by a truck, but at least you are still alive and you appear to be unisekaied.
You wish to go and game as a reward for yourself, but you hesitate. Should you allow yourself to? And if not, what then?
[ ] Yes
[ ] No
-[ ] Wat do instead?

Also, you realise you aren't sure exactly what you want to be doing on subsequent days.
[ ] What are your immediate plans?
[ ] What long term goals do you set for yourself?

Why do I name threadmarks let's just call this day 3
You awaken to your aching muscles and growling stomach, and realise that, in your exhaustion, you have neglected to have lunch or dinner yesterday. You make a simple, but large serving of spaghetti aglio e olio, to quickly satiate your voracious hunger.
You are sorely tempted to give up on exercise with how you feel after yesterday, but decide to stick to it for a while longer, in the hopes that it would eventually pay off. However, you decide to go for a much more manageable routine: 40 push-ups, 40 sit-ups, and a 500 meter run.

The sit-ups are completed with not too much trouble, but you can barely manage a single push-up now, without your arms giving out under you as you lower yourself. With each push-up, your arms tremble more and more as you attempt to force yourself to complete your goal. After 20 are finally completed in as many minutes, you decide to give up. You have already overstrained yourself yesterday, and it would be inadvisable to continue that trend. The 500-meter run went smoothly, as you finished your exercise, and you return home to take your shower.

Since your mother has gone out again, and you have almost bored of gaming, you decide to practice some music. You are honestly pretty bad at it, but at least you are somewhat recognisable...most of the time.

What to play?
[ ] Piano
-[ ] Mary had a little lamb
-[ ] Fur elise
-[ ] River flows in you
-[ ] An anime OP (write-in)
-[ ] Write-in
-[ ] Madoka medley by animenz
-[ ] La campenella

[ ] Violin
-[ ] Twinkle twinkle little star
-[ ] An anime OP (write-in)
-[ ] Write-in
-[ ] Schindler's list
-[ ] Mendelssohn violin concerto
-[ ] Paganini caprice 24

Day 3, part 2
After about 5 minutes of unrecognisable noise, you decide to find an easier transcript of A Cruel Angel's Thesis, and manage to sightread it, and at least you can hear the melody this time. After playing it through a few times, you get lazy and begin to watch someone play it on the calculator instead

You also attempt Mendelssohn violin concerto just because, but stop on the first page because of how terrible your double stops were.

Being actually capable of doing things today, you make some lunch for yourself before you forget. While cooking, your crush (whom you have confessed to and been rejected by in the past) messages you after not having spoken for months. You quickly reply, and strike up a conversation. After hearing that you haven't been out much recently, she... asks if you would like to have dinner together over the weekend?

brain.exe has stopped working. Help wat think and do?

[ ] It's totally a date, right?
[ ] You know her well enough, and it's just her wanting to catch up with a lonely friend. It's hard being stuck this far down the friendzone.
-[ ] At least you can imagine that it's one.

[ ] Accept the offer
[ ] Reject the offer

[ ] Wat do?

Huh, I wasn't expecting such an event quest to occur, but the uh... d100s which are totally being rolled for this quest have apparently said so

Day 4, notadate
The timing has been brought forward to today due to a change in scheduling reasons by the other party, and you are panicking right now. You certainly weren't expecting something like this to happen, especially after all these months of being a hikkiNEET. You know that it shouldn't really matter or change anything, but you are still incredibly afraid of screwing up, and are beginning to sweat all over. It is about a 15-minute journey, 30 at the most.

How long before the arranged time should you set off?
[ ] 15 minutes. Arrive exactly on time, on average
[ ] 30 minutes. You are probably going to arrive before the meeting time
[ ] 45 minutes. Should arrive at least 15 minutes early
[ ] 1 hour. Should arrive early, might give some time to scout the area.
[ ] 1.5 hours. No harm in going early, right?
[ ] 2 hours. You are really anxious to be there, and just in case public transport breaks down, it would give extra an buffer
[ ] 3 hours There is less than 3 hours left.

What to say and do?

An unexpected development
As far as you recall, you have always been the loner. You have had few friends in your life, and most of those have been mainly for convenience sake. Out of those few people were two girls; both of whom had made a large impact on your life.
The first of them was an exceedingly intelligent, compassionate individual, and tried her best to act friendly towards those around her. As you talked to her, you grew closer to her, and eventually you became fairly close friends. Inevitably, you began devoping a crush on her; every communication brightening your day. Months passed, and you worked up the courage to confess, but you had been rejected, and told that she just saw you as a close friend. You accepted it, and remained friends, but the pain of rejection stuck with you forever. You slowly drifted apart as time went by, and talking to her was too much to bear.

Over 5 years later, a different girl you knew started talking to you more and more, and eventually admitted to having a crush on you. You two were similar, and were both doing poorly at life due to depression, but you identified with her. You understood her, and she understood you. She became your girlfriend, and it went well enough for a few months, but failed in the end. She lost her crush on you and grew bored, and subsequently dumped you, and you have spent all your time since just holed up in your room, living the life of a hikkiNEET.

As you are literally on your journey to meet your first crush, you get texted by your ex-girlfriend for the first time in half a year, and she wants to go out somewhere with you too.

notadate, but could it actually have been?
Honestly, you really don't feel much like replying at all to Rei, after all that has happened, and how it feels like she just threw you away when done with you. You know that isn't the case, but it still hurts anyway. Also, although you feel guilty about this, a large part of being with Rei was to get over your feelings for Akari, in the hopes that a relationship would mask and perhaps eventually overcome your feelings for Akari. You feel like a terrible person, but you know that at any point in time you would have always gladly exchanged Rei for Akari, if not for the fact that Akari was someone way out of your league in just about every aspect. As it is, you decide to give short and concise replies to Rei, and just state that you are busy. You put away your phone, and try to mentally prepare yourself for the upcoming situation.

The time ticks by, second by second, and with each second you get more nervous. The time arrives, but she still hasn't. You begin panicking. What if she just doesn't come? Or wants to spend as little time as possible with a failure like you? Does this mean she finds this unimportant? What if...
And you see her, flustered and making her way to you quickly. She immediately apologises, but all your worry has long since disappeared. You begin chatting, and the conversation proceeds smoothly while you two start wandering the mall to decide on a place to eat. You see her smile that you so sorely miss, and her giggles when you try to be funny, and all your emotions that you have been holding back these years come bursting through the dam you have erected in your heart. Yes, this is the girl of your dreams, and the one you have always held affection for. The time passes in a blur in your stupor of happiness, and you are satisfied.

As you finally decide where to eat half an hour later, she begins going by a roundabout path to the restaurant. She looks away from you momentarily, and, with what seems to be a light blush, reveals to you that she is avoiding her workplace, and places that people she knows occasionally go to. You don't want to be too hasty to jump to any conclusions, but it appears to you that she is at least aware of the implications of how it looks to people. You immediately become conscious of all the couples around you, and how close she is to you. The distance when walking practically couldn't get any close without holding hands, and when talking, her face was close enough you could just learn forward slightly and...
No, you shake your head and clear your mind. You really don't want to screw anything up today, and you need a clear mind for that. You reach the restaurant and sit down after a short wait, and begin your meal soon after. The conversation proceeds again without a hitch, and when you are both done with your food, she is visibly disappointed that it is over. She suggests to stay longer, but with a quick glance at the queue at the restaurant, realises that it would be rather impolite for all the waiting customers. The two of you pay, and leave.
As you leave, she inquires into whether you still have time to stay for a while longer, and of course you do. And with that, the aimless wandering around the mall while talking begins yet again. Ultimately, you are dragged to a pet shop, where you two stare at the dogs (and perhaps you stare at her just a little bit) for the rest of the time.
It is about four hours into the notadate that she tells you that she has to leave to meet a colleague for a project soon, and has to go. You part, and thank each other for the time spent.

Hideaki happiness level+++

You return home happy, but aren't sure what to think in your high.
[ ] What do you think of the rendezvous?

[ ] You really want to do this again sometime. How?

[ ] What should you say when you message her later?

[ ] Anything else you want to do?
