You had some questions to ask but waited your turn.
The shieldbearer went first,
"I get the gist of what you want from us but there's a few things I want to know first. Is it really possible to beat the Dark? Since you've summoned us, that means you gods are having a problem, so what chance do we have?"
"By rekindling the First Flame, shall the Dark be wardeth away," the goddess spoke softly, her expression turned neutral,
"Twas in the Age Of Ancients when the world was no more than gray and ruleth by the Dragons. But then there was fire and thus cometh the Souls Of Lords from within the Flames. Nito, the first of the dead; the Witch Of Izalith and her Daughters Of Chaos; and Gwyn The Lord Of Sunlight and his Faithful Knights."
"With the strength of Lords, they challenged the Dragons. Gwyn's mighty bolts toreth apart their stone-scales; the Witches weaveth great firestorms; Nito unleashed a miasma of death and disease; and Seath The Scaless betrayeth his own. And the Dragons were no more."
"And thus beganeth, the Age Of Fire — The Age Of The Gods."
"But as the light of the Flames dwindleth, the shadow of the Dark encroaches."
In other words: the balance of powers between the Gods and the Dark were tied to the burning Flames. The stronger the fire, the greater the Gods and the weaker the Dark; but the weaker the fire, the weaker the Gods and the greater the Dark.
"So, we don't need to beat the Dark, we just need to rekindle this First Flame?" It sounded simple enough.
"But, you haven't done it yet, so that means we were summoned because you needed more time to prepare. Is that right, Queen Gwynevere?"
Her smile returned,
"Yes, O Brave Hero, that is so."
"But how do you know that will work? Is it because something like this has happened before?"
"The Hero Of The Shield is most insightful," she praised,
"Long ago, when the fire first tilteth to the Dark, they had spawned within my homeland of Lordran. Swiftly repelled, the Dark restarteth their invasion in the kingdoms of humans."
"As the Dark greweth outside, Lord Gwyn sent his most trustyworthy and mightiest warriors to halteth their coming," she looked at each of the heroes in turn; spear,
"Ornstein The Dragonslayer,", sword,
"Artorias The Abysswalker," dagger,
"Lord's Blade Ciaran," bow,
"Hawkeye Gough," and shield,
"and Bishop Havel The Rock. Altogether, they were knowneth as the Five Knights Of Gwyn; they are the basis from whicheth the Brave Heroes come."
The wielder-of-the-shovel was not mentioned at all.
Rather, the handmaiden had mentioned that a sixth wasn't expect, so was there no one before you? Was your being here by complete accident?
However, the goddess didn't forget about you,
"I knoweth not why there is a sixth amongst you Brave Heroes. But, Wielder Of The Shovel, knoweth that thy presence is welcomed here."
You acknowledged her words with a nod, feeling a tad more reassured, though no less confused about your status.
The Shieldbearer spoke,
"Right, that's about all I needed know for now, thank you for your time, Queen Gwynevere. My name is Iwatani Naofumi, the Hero Of The Shield, I look forward to working with you."
"Thy assistance is appreciated, Brave Naofumi."

"O Brave Heroes, does thee have any other questions?"
Before you could speak, the archer cut in, sounding a little indignant,
"Hey, you summoned us because we're Heroes, right? Then shouldn't your servants show more respect to us?" he pointed towards the priest,
"You know, this guy threatened us with death earlier. By lowering our morale, that makes it harder for us to honestly fight by your side. We might just refuse because of that."
The spearman scoffed,
"Speak for yourself, I've already agreed to help."
The swordsman took a step away,
"Don't put words in my mouth and lump me in with you."
The shieldbearer and the dagger-girl turned their heads. You simple stayed in place to avoid any misunderstandings.
The archer frowned but continued,
"Your Queen, I respectfully request this man to be punished." If you judged him by appearance, then he would look like a well-mannered boy, but he seemed a bit bratty to you.
The Priest spoke up,
"I merely scolded a foolish boy for his words of treachery."
The goddess paused and came to a swift decision,
"Hero Of The Bow, tis a request that I cannot granteth thee. Many were those who had been Lord Gwyn's allies yet were tainteth by the Dark. Should a Brave Hero become corrupted, it will only leadeth to disaster. It is within the authority of my retainers to delivereth justice."
The archer pursed his lips and nodded numbly,
"...I understand, my apologies... I was acting too rashly."
"Thy words is forgiven."

"O Brave Heroes, does thee have any other questions?"
It didn't seem like anyone else in group had anything to say, so it was finally your turn.
"Queen Gwynevere, you summoned us because you needed Heroes but I've never fought before in my life. I'm just a medical-student, so why me?"
"For one to be summoned as a Brave Hero, thy must passeth two requirements," she explained,
"Firstly, thy must be at life's end; untethered to the world, thy soul can be broughteth here. And, secondly, thee must possesseth a strong fate unused."
"Fate unused?"
"Thy demise at thy world is an occurrence most unfortunate and a life cutteth short. If thee had liveth longer, thy could have achieveth many great things. Thus, summoned here as a Brave Hero, tis karma of thy strong fate wishing to be used."
If you understood her right, she was saying that only someone with a surplus of fate could be summoned. For example, if Oda Nobunaga had been killed long before he could become the Devil King Of The Sixth Heaven back in the Warring States Period, he could have been summoned to this world as a Brave Hero.
It made you a little curious; if you hadn't died, what sort of great thing would you have achieved?
But that didn't matter right now.
If what she said was true, then the number of people who could become Brave Heroes was probably small. No, even before that, the available number of slots was only five. No, even that was not true — you were the unexpected sixth, after all.
There still might have been a chance, so you asked,
"...Were there any other Brave Heroes summoned before us? Even though there's only suppose to be five, are there any more like me who were unexpectedly summoned?"
"Many-a-times haveth the Dark become active and many-a-times haveth the Brave Heroes been summoned; their numbers always five. The previous calleth into service before thee was one-hundred-and-fifty-years ago."
"Oh."
Hatsune had passed away recently. Even if you believed that she had been summoned as Hero, even if you believed that fifty-years here was just one-year of yours, that was still more than a century ago.
Your little sister no longer existed in your world nor in this world.
Yet you continued to grasp onto a sliver of hope,
"By summoning us here, you brought us back to life, right? Is it possible to bring back someone, even if they can't be a hero?"
"Wielder Of The Shovel, nay, Hero Of The Shovel, such a task cannot be doneth," she lightly shook her head,
"A soul longeth passed cannot be called and a soul possessing of little fate would not endureth the journey here from another world."
You clenched your fists, "...Even though you're a god?"
She paused before answering,
"I shall do all within my power to assisteth thee but tis a task insurmountable."

Hang On -
The powers of the Gods were related to the strength of the Flames. If that First Flame was rekindled then their strength would return. In that case, there was a possibility that they could bring back Hatsune.

Let Go -
That's enough. Though you felt some regret about Hatsune's death, it wasn't a past that you should dwell in. Rather, the reason you had become a doctor, wasn't it to help people in the present?
