Holy shit.

Okay, I've read one single fic where someone can turn into a mew. It was adorable.

There's way too many MHA fics and quests that go ham on being realistic and dark for edgy reasons. Let's be realistically dark about our cute tiny little paws and massive psychic abilities. See how THAT goes. What are you going to do now, Bakugo? Bully the stupidly pink cat cute creature that burst out of Deku's body after one of your stooges injected him with illegal drugs??? What now, bitch?

[X][Trigger] You pop!

I did not even know there were other Mew Quests
Not Quest, fanfics. There's about ten where Ash turns into a Mew, at least one where Ash just is a Mew, twenty SI fics where the author becomes a Mew and starts being a dick to various Pokemon characters, or perving on their waifu of choice, and a good dozen or three where some other character (Luffy, Zoro, Krillin, Vegeta, Harry Potter, etc) end up as a Mew, either by being transported into the Pokemon world, or because that's their new Devil Fruit/Animagus form/whatever. The only fic I've ever read that was any good was by Saphroneth, and that's because he took the crackfic idea to its logical conclusion.

Again, I don't doubt Lunaryon's skills, but I just don't think becoming a Mew is all that great for a Quest. It's shapeshifting with extra steps.

Not to mention a butt load of psychic abilities. the obvious allusion to psychic flight in the vote description that hints at the MC potentially getting all of Mew's abilities. In the end all of these quirks go beyond simple descriptions like shapeshifting or Storage. The energy in storage can be used for healing and shielding, the Mutant quirk does more than just make him look like a mew, and whatever blinding bright does is more than it's designation would tell someone at first glance. There all very nuanced.

None this actually matters since the nearly half the overall votes are for Blinding Bright, while the other half are more evenly divided, and the vote is about over, but let's not demean any of the other options.

I can't believe so many people have up the opportunity to be the world's most technically a cat boy.

I didn't particularly want to be a mew, there's plenty of fics that make the mc a mew, overplayed imo.

I think the other two are just more interesting.

Plus I don't feel like dealing with izuku's identity crisis when he has to deal with a sudden transformation into something completely unfamiliar.

What can I say, the idea of someone having to take Bakugou aside and explain that Izuku had a perk all along and he was just too much of an asshole to ever give his friend the room to shine means more to me than all the other vote details, though I will admit the Mew perk does seem more interesting than whatever his parents combo quirk is.

With Blinding Bright. Bakugo can no longer say Izuku has no Quirk after this incident.

Though I bet everyone in the cafeteria will be heading to the hospital for one reason or another. like temporary blindness as an example. Sun burns as another.

I mean, all of these quirks aren't remotely subtle. No matter what we click Bakugou isn't going to be able to say Izuku doesn't have a quirk, but Emerald Lightning is the only one where he already had an active quirk, and could never get any mileage out of it because of Bakugou constantly going after him. It's the difference between Bakugou having to swallow that "Deku isn't a quirkless loser anymore" compared to "Deku was never quirkless in the first place, he only seemed quirkless because I'm such an awful person". It's a way, way better wake up call.

It is interesting to note that the drug meant to make people go on a rampage isn't causing that to happen to Izuku other than a sudden out of control quirk.
Well with Bakugo attending they should have up to date fire systems at Aldera.

Once news of what this version of Trigger does to Quirkless drops....the fallout will likely be catastrophic. Since only the Getter option meant Izuku had a quirk all along Ideo Trigger is confirmed to awaken quirks in quirkless people.
Overhaul is going to be so upset, and maybe have his eye on us. Among others in all likelihood.

Bear in mind that Quirks can grow with training, and many of those kids probably haven't trained theirs very much. Like that kid with stretchy fingers might be able to stretch other parts of his body, or that one with weird hair might be able to imitate some of the functions of Nagamasa's hair Quirk.

All of them are wake up calls. Pop has Izuku seemingly follow the instructions of a knife throwing guide, but as a balloon target. Then a tiny creature flies off. Idk about you but that sounds similar enough to "Deku just died".

We... are probably going to have to be legitimately careful of the spectrum we radiate at. If we pushed for power and tilted too far into the blue range then suddenly people are going to be getting cancer if not radiation poisoning. And eye damage. And a lot of shit, really.

I imagine that we will be doing a lot of reds for safety. Red-end forms of light tend to play nicer with human biology... and going way too red only results in our being a living jamming frequency, if we can go that far.

Going, well, Gamma Knife on somebody is impolite.

Stars are *very* electromagnetic. Light is just a subset of electromagnetic radiation. It should be entirely possible to finagle 'Star Powers' into some fairly hefty magnetic powers as well as the obvious laser beams.

Always found it somewhat odd that so much emphasis is put on the quirks. A lot of quirks are nigh-worthless for the overwhelming majority of hero work.
The real factor is how far up the Charles Atlas scale you have climbed.
I get that people with cool quirks are inherently superior. I never understood why a dumb, near useless quirk somehow makes you THAT much better than a quirkless.

I mean, there were some VERY dumb looking quirks in Midoriya's previous class. like "Mr my eyes pop out", or Mr Long Neck!

For clarification's sake, when it says that you popped, this is what I was imagining, only with Izuku.

I REALLY need to watch Bocchi the Rock...

You are Izuku, and while you do have the chance of getting One For All, you are not going to have the chance to get it before the Entrance Exam. You'll have to impress All Might if that is your goal.
wait, how would that work with how later in the manga they basically go "One For All has become so powerful that someone with another quirk will self-destruct using it, it has to be given to a quirkless"?

Are you going to ignore that aspect, or maybe there would be some kind of downside to manage?

...also, honestly, have the quirk go to Melissa Shield. The quirkless daughter of All Might's scientist friend who so wanted to be a hero
Or they fuck with biology in the right way so that the overcharging that would kill us doesn't, you know, kill us. Its theoretically possible for a body to handle OfA plus one more quirk... and its just that that body currently doesn't exist.
mh.. admittedly the three mentioned quirks here all seem to have the potential to handle this quirk.

Mew is mew. bullshit body made of quirk factor cells.

I'm assuming the "I'm a star, and I mean it literally" body would also be able to manage that level of power. I mean, it's already managing a fusion reactor in the chest apparently.

And the getter rays... ok, I don't know the franchise, but I'm assuming they'd allow us to "evolve" to bear the burden better.

To be helpful as a possible reference.

The Walkie Talkie hand is wrong because she's clearly levitating her pencil case there I believe.

r/TheBokuNoHeroAcademia - I edited a photo about all of the Aldera Junior High Class 3-C students and put the names on Deku's Middle School Classmates as subtittles.

This link shows a picture that labels all of the visible students in Izuku's middle school class.

MHA world is mad. It's the only possible explanation for some of these kids to be more popular than Izuku just because he's quirkless.

Going, well, Gamma Knife on somebody is impolite.
I'm all for being very impolite with a few chosen people. Mainly All For One.

I don't know Getter Robo either, but we do know that the Getter Rays would have been healing Izuku from Bakugou's abuse for his entire life. If it were supercharged by One for All, that healing factor would only increase, perhaps even to a degree that it could manage the strain of All for One without even factoring in whatever other Glorious Nonsense comes with it.

I'm on board with this if we could ever actually swing it. It would take changes from canon because Toshinori was all set to condemn Mirio to a horrible death due to a lack of understanding of the situation. But, if she can get it, she'd do brilliant with it.

I'm entirely convinced that a solar heart would at least make it manageable. Certainly, stars that burn brighter burn out faster but... yeah... for a human lifetime I don't see it being a problem. At all.

The problem is that adding power stockpiling to Sol Invictus here would mean small losses of control don't break your arm. They result in Hiroshima Part 2.

Izuku would be fine but, yeah, the collateral damage would be magnificent.

Weirdly, its Izuku's treating gravity as being subjective that is exciting me the most. Maybe not in terms of power but... it will be cinematic. Especially if he trains to the point he starts moving at peak unaugmented human which pretty much means Stain. Spending more time on the ceiling than the floor, always entering battle feet first.

I expect weird orbital resonance with Ochako... figurative and literal. And I don't know if him being in the room is going to cause more or less rainbows to be horked.

So I actually have read some of the getter robo manga, enough to immediately recognize it. Unfortunately I never got past the absolutely batshit character introductions that led to the robot piloting happen. But holy shit that manga is crazy. There are inexplicable dinosaurs trying to murder some scientists and... God. I can't even remember.
