Well, at least Robert gets to go to war again. I would say we should probably make sure that he lives, but would it really be so bad if he died?

Joffrey would take the throne sure, but Jon Arryn would fuck off back to the Vale, where killing him would likely serve Littlefinger no purpose (especially considering his influence over Joffrey), Ned wouldn't get killed, nor would there be any questions into Joffrey's heritage. Tywin would administer the realm, and he'd be competent enough not to let the realm devolve into chaos. Stannis might get pissy, but he would almost certainly leave the city and also not be looking into Joffrey's heritage anymore.

So, would it really be so bad if Robert dies here?

Joffrey was really only terrible to the people around him. Nationally speaking his rule would have likely been no worse or better to the country as a whole than any other king. Especially not with Tywin as hand. It was only because of the war that things went to shit.

If you're in the Red Keep, then sure. Joffrey is the worst. But if you're in the Riverlands, or the North? Joffrey's just some fuckwit sitting on an Iron Chair.

Then we just fuck off to Essos, introduce ourselves to Fake Aegon, or Daenerys, and kill the shit out of some Essosi for a bit, until either of them decides to introduce Joffrey to the wrong end of a sword/dragon.
 
We might not have learn from Dayne so quickly but we got our experiences from Jon reincarnations.

And the dragonborn life was really really really bullshit.

The important deaths is for the storming of Griffin's Beak and the campaign in general after Robert's arrival.
