So I've decided to end this quest. I'm sorry to say I'm no longer interested it it enough to continue, and have moved onto a new quest.

I'm sorry for those that wanted this quest to continue. I do as well, but I have to face the facts.

Making things up as I go along if fine in theory, but its caused a great deal of bloat. Turns have multiple, complex parts that take a along time to work out. This quest was originally meant to be a Riot Quest, but it rapidly became... not.

The good news is that there are some parts of this quest I liked, and think work. I'm probably going to try and redo it, but not for a while.
My only piece of unfinished business I need closure on is how many more research actions would I have need for God-Marked Origami?!

God-Marked Origami was what I classed as "Hard" research. You would've needed 1000 research points to get it. You had... 57. Take from that what you want.

You know what, if the quest is over I can pull back the curtain a bit.

The whole thing about the planet that went dark was leading up to a small squad of Night Lords infiltrating Kelt. They'd been picked as a surprise "hostile" force. You could've allied with them, hunted them down, lots of options.

I also did a roll to decide a longer term enemy, one that would pop up much later. And, well remember this;
Be me, making a quick roll

Oh wait. I thought... it makes more sense if they were... err..
Alright then.
Fun times ahead, I guess
Good news! This roll won't be relevant for quite some time.
Bad news! You are right to be scared.
And also this stuff from the News posts;

Something. Happened. Beyond the Hive. You cannot tell what, for your cult has no eyes beyond the walls, but your dreams are filled with animal cries of pain and chittering, the gnawing of many mouths chewing on reality itself. You can do nothing but look at the ash-filled horizon and wait… for now.
Annatar's Eye
The warp rift, glowing an unhealthy green, had little activity this year, aside from a single instance where it seemed to spasm; it blinked briefly, as if it could not understand what it saw.
This was that. I originally included them on the list as a joke, and was very surprised when I rolled them.

But what were they?
Skaven, it was Skaven. They'd punched a hole through reality on the other side of Kelt, and after a lot of set up would've attacked.

Anyone else have questions?

What is it these days with Skaven everywhere? I randomly watched a video about a Skaven related mod for TW Warhammer 3, read a great (though sadly early abandoned) Skaven SI fic and now this.

Kinda sad though. Skaven are awesome.
