The problem with fishing, Alia decided, was that it was boring. She had thrown back a lot of magikarps and goldeens at this point, as she had no interest in raising either of them. She was after a certain kind of prey ...

Her line suddenly jerked and she dug her heels in as it slowly but surely started to unravel towards the ocean's bottom. This was it! She read about how Frillish tend to react to the fish bait on hooks and this was just like it! She grinned as she yanked on the line, overcoming the Frillish and bringing the pokemon close to the shore. A fellow fisherman cheered her on as she threw out Scarlet.

"Woo, go girl, ring that Frillish in!" He yelled as Scarlet used Nightshade on the startled Frillish. He jerked in pain, before trying to get close to use it's poisonous tentacles. But Scarlet skittered backwards and used Nightshade several more times in quick succession, evading the slow floating pokemon who was unused to battle. Soon, Alia threw the pokeball at the weak and tired Frillish who didn't so much as ping in resistance afterwards. She yelled in excitement and tried to give Scarlet a hug who ran off. It was a long chase.

She took the Frillish to the Pokemon center and healed him up, before finding a nice grassy clearing in a local park to let her pokemon out. Alia smiled as Scarlet, Spooky, Stuffy, and the newly caught Frillish all came out. Spooky and Stuffy immediately went to Alia, with Stuffy begging to be picked up, while Scarlet absentmindedly ate rocks. The Frillish hung in the air, looking uncertain at what Alia wanted it to do.

"That's Spooky, he's my best friend, this is Stuffy, she's so cute, and that's Scarlet, who's totally awesome. And you're ... "

Ah, I missed the update. Yay, successful Frillish capture! Now to befriend it?

It's a shame that Nihilego ain't a ghost-type. Otherwise we'd have the best hat ever...

Also, should we try getting a Nincada at some point? Having a Shedinja would be really cool, but it might be unfair on the Ninjask... Or maybe we can make friends with a bug trainer and catch the Shedinja when it's created, if it's a separate entity to the Nin(cada/jask).

Because Frillish lives in the ocean. But it wouldn't really suit him unless he had a salty or snarking personality.
