Shadows of the Past

[X] [Target] You still haven't found Ixtli. Look among the houses on the other side for him.
-[X] [Target] Give a lot of room to the Stone Men, rather abort the mission than take another attempt to sneak close by one

[X] [Action] Pick as many as you wish before going on.
-[X] [Action] Dress your wounds.
--[X] [Action] Re-apply Jungle Scent over the dressing to prevent predators from smelling blood if possible

You know, we can probably just leave and come back fully healed. We are not actually in a hurry.

Just spend some time in the jungle hunting or doing alchemy

[X] [Action] Pick as many as you wish before going on.
-[X] [Action] Take the wolfs skin. (Might attract predators on the way back.)
--[X] Leave it in the wolf's lair and make a note to pick it up on your way out if its still there, rather than carry it immediately into the houses.
-[X] [Action] Dress your wounds.
[X] [Target] You still haven't found Ixtli. Look among the houses on the other side for him.
-[X] As you did before, survey the area and look for safe approaches
-[X] If your scent is wearing off apply another dose

-[X] [Target] Give a lot of room to the Stone Men. See if they react to loud sounds (like shouting). If they don't, call Ixtli's name out loud.

I am hoping here that the Stone Men are ignoring most sounds (becuase the jungle is near, it is loud and if they react to every loud sound they would probably have broken their dump-plant-in-river ceremony or any other long activity).
The wildlife should not pose that big of a problem, too - they should have learned better than to visit a place with murder golems. And I want wolfskin, it is loot. If we are pursued, it can even serve as a scent distraction while we use Jungle Scent and go in another direction.

I can't completely agree with any plan shown so far... And, just a reminder, but the sword wielding golem is diferent form the ones in town. He is bigger, has more details (in the head, according to the narrative) and has a sword. My guess is that they are diferent kinds of golems, the ones working being made for hard work, while the one inside being made explicitly as a guard or fighting type, so the ones outside shouldn't be as dangerous, even if we can't defeat any one of them by ourselves.

[X] Metrux

So, on the list.

1. Armor
2. Metal Weapons
3. Rope
4. Learn to Read
5. Find teachers to push our skills to the next level

We are SUPER close with Bladed Weaponry, for example. And endurance. I want another trait for both. Also it wouldn't hurt to get a teacher for Animal Lore and level that up as well.

[x] [Target] Leave for Tlamaca. Ixtli is most likely already dead and you found the codex at least.

@Azel, so her not understanding machines, sure. But what other "spirits" of the past like the Stone Men does she know about? Are there any house servitors? Flying guardians? Etc.

House servitors would be the Stone Men and there are some legends about flying spirits who aided Cualli, but nothing more then that.

In regards to spirit of the past though, there are the Wrapped Maidens who you are aware of. They say their wails are still mourning the Fall and that they hide under their bandages because they no longer want to world to see them walking through what's left.

Banshees, wonderful. And you've already alluded to a TPK if we ever have the misfortune of meeting one.

I'm mainly interested if we can ever find some pre-Fall version of transportation or something along those lines that we could take for ourselves.

I wouldn't say TPK, especially since you got some new skills since I've said that, but it's one of the nastier encounters you can have. Mainly because they have means of hurting you that bypass your Evasion completely.
You could have dodged the the Stone Man Warriors attacks with some luck, but not so much the Wrapped Maidens.

In regard to the obligatory airship, you might want to hit the Wise Mens archives. If something like that existed, they might have records about it.

You heard the man! After we start studying with them, first priority is to find this info! ò.ó

Sorry, I may have missed it, but where did we end up? We were in the compound, climbed down through the shaft, and ended up in a chamber... but where is that chamber and why do we have a choice to check the houses again?

Did we come back to the riverbank? By the length of the drop I thought we were somewhere in a basement or something.

How can we be sure Ixtli isn't somewhere else in the big compound and there is nothing more to check there?

This ruin seems like a good area to come back to with a packmule or something. There is much loot to be had @Duesal wonder what the wisemen would pay for a Stoner Guy...

We'd have to be able to either kill or control the Stonemen in the first place.

I think a good first step is learning how to read, then we can go from there.
