"Mickey" You begin, glancing at your mouse partner. "I've got something that can help us out in this fight, but I need some time to get it started. Can you keep it distracted?"

"You bet I can!" Mickey calls out as he points his Keyblade at the Drawer. Unlike your own, his Keyblade is mostly dark blue and patterned with stars, ending with a giant star to represent the 'Key' part of Mickey's weapon. Since he got his Keyblade passed down to him from your shared master, he seems to have inherited his astrological theme. "You just do what you can to get that spell working! I can keep this overgrown piece of furniture done until then."

Mickey charges the approaching drawer, doing his best to gain its attention while maintaining a safe distance. Due to his speed, none of the animated drawer's attempts to smash him into the ground even come close, giving you time to breathe.

Wait... would this place even have a broom that large that isn't animated, or is it just laying in wait?

You shake your head, you have a job to do. Moving quickly, you hide yourself behind one of the wooden constructs around the edge of the arena. You don't actually know if it does you any good, the stupid thing doesn't even have eyes, but some cover is better than none.

You work quickly, hoping you finish before it starts why only one of the two Keyblade apprentices are actually fighting it. Thankfully, it doesn't take long for the spell to start taking affect, storm clouds beginning to gather in the sky above.

If your trial wasn't actually taking place indoors.

...The ceiling is almost completely obscured under clouds anyway, you think that's close enough to count! It's a good thing too, because it would suck if you couldn't use one of your most powerful spells just because you happen to be indoors.

With the spell complete, you step out from behind the pillar, calling down a powerful lightning bolt while at the same time firing a Note at the construct.

While It manages to reflect the Note with it's shield, it misses the second attack, leaving it completely open to take the full force of the bolt from above. It seems to flinch, parts of the wood becoming blackened and smoking.

"Good Job, Scena!" Mickey says as he jumps away from the drawer once more.

It's a good thing that he does so, as the Drawer seems to build up energy within itself, producing a small tornado around itself that would have surely sent Mickey flying away.

Rather than slowing down from the attack, it seems to get even more frenzied, opening it drawers and depositing several armed brooms onto the ground.

You steady yourself once more. Looks like that was only stage one of the fight.

What do you do?
[x] Focus on the Drawer and enter melee. Use your Song of Storms to fight off the brooms.
[x] Focus on the Drawer with the full force of your magic. It shouldn't be able to deflect both the Song and your normal spells at the same time.
[x] Switch songs. The Song of Storms seems to be fairly well countered by the Drawer's Mirror Shield.
[x] Try and clear out the brooms before going after the Drawer. They could prove to be a lethal distraction if left alone.

What are you talking about? We hit it with the SoS, so why does this say that it's being countered?

The best course of action at the moment would be to destroy the brooms. While you're certain that none of them could beat you in single combat, letting them run free alongside the presence of the massive Drawer would make them exponentially more dangerous. After all, it would be fairly easy for one of the brooms to get a cheap shot at you if you focus all of your limited attention on the Drawer and vice-versa. A direct hit from the Drawer would be especially devastating given the sheer size of it and it's weapons.

"Mickey!" You call out to your friend, who is on the retreat from the Drawer, that agility of his saving him once again. If you couldn't fly you'd probably be very jealous of him right now, but as it is you're just glad he isn't getting hit by that beast of a construct. Still, he ends up going through quite a few close calls as several of the brooms very nearly land hits on him, confirming your earlier fears regarding their presence. "We can't beat this thing while the smaller brooms are backing it up. One of us will have to clear them from the battlefield while the other keeps the Drawer distracted!"

"Good plan." A broom charges Mickey but is swiftly destroyed with a single swing of his Keyblade. Thankfully, some of the brooms are dumb enough to run off from the main swarm. They'd be much harder to deal with if they all kept to one place like they'd been at the start, or heck, if they'd just decided to mob the two of you as a group while one of you was close to the Drawer. "I'll handle the Drawer since I've already have time to get used to its attacks. Can you clear out the brooms so that they don't end up getting in my way?"

"OK!" You reply to your friend as you run to the side of the Broom swarm, firing several Note spells into the assembled group. While you aren't able to get all of them, several of the ones that you do manage to hit break formation and immediately rush you. Naturally, the brooms that do so are immediately dispatched. "I'll have them cleared out faster than you can shake a stick!"

You try and pepper the swarm again with more Note spells but this time, instead of pulling a few Brooms from the herd like you had before, you end up with the entire swarm chasing you and attempting to pummel you with their wooden fists. Thankfully Brooms are not the fastest runners, so you manage to keep a good distance ahead of them and pick them off one by one. This does mean that you take a bit more time than you'd thought you would though.

"Ok Mickey, I'm done wi-" You turn around just in time to see the Drawer land a nasty hit on your friend and fellow apprentice. "Mickey!"

The Drawer walks up to him with its broom raised, prepared to knock him out of the test.

What do you do!
[x] Rush the Drawer! It'll pay for hurting your friend!
[x] Rush and try to block the attack! You won't take one step back when your friend is in danger!
[x] Grab Mickey and run for it! You need to keep that thing at a distance!
