Replacing Serving with Due Diligence, so our counter for Diligence doesn't decrease further, and Embassy with Monasteries, since sis recommended we do that. The two might even sync a bit. Embassy can wait until next turn.
 
So, since Jinhai's plan was to head to the capital and have Ha'dong declare to him when he arrived, since iirc the army was camped outside of the city, does that mean that Ha'dong had an agreement with the guards? Though given how he has been behaving in Basrat, if he had then he HAD.

That if Ha'dong had made an agreement with the city guards to throw the gates open once Jinhai arrived then, given the purge he is committing in Basrat on the off chance anyone knew he was conspiring with the prince, he likely tied any loose ends in Csrae before he left the city. Thus, he doesn't have people in the guard, he HAD people in the guard. As in, if he had people in the guard, he doesn't anymore because he killed them all, thus: if he had people in the guard then he HAD people in the guard.

Running the synergy of getting control over the poet spot with the Emperor's education and the Poets. We need the Influence it can grant, even if its a trickle.

What can I say? A bit of a dick move perhaps, but it would allow us to do quite alot. Begin influencing the Emperor, continue work on the Turtle, help Ayila, help sis while following her advice, make friends with young nobles, take care of the Rassit and begin laying the foundations for a professional cannon corps (which would help with getting cannons for the Turtle, hence why I took that instead of say, A Bonus Worth Having). So basically, take care of some obligations while also spending some time on increasing our influence.

I like this. A Cannoneer's Worth has synergy with The Turtle's Shell, so it is probaly a superior choice. Let's hope the people who voted for our plans will be lured over to the new plan.

How long will the vote stay open?
 
OK, I will pester people so we don't end up with a three-way split on the vote:

@RideTheWalrus, @keios, @ctulhuslp, you are voting for either mine or Random Member's plan. Now Random Member has mashed the two plans together. The new plan looks good to me and I have changed my vote.

Maybe you could take a look and see whether you might want to switch to the new plan, too?

I think a plan needs to have clarity of purpose instead of trying to do everything at once.

Okay, so...first plan sees appraising the education of Emperor, making contacts with the second printing press and unseating current poet as a combo 1; everything else seems to stand alone?
Second one has two combos I can see: unseating+mayhaps to learn, Canoneer's Worth+Turtle's Shell.
I don't think a new one is better than other in terms of synergies.
However, I like doubling down on a Hunt.
Let's try something like...

A combo for unseating which ssshhould work IMO.

I see no combo potential here either.

I'm not sure actually if the printing press synergizes with the Emp's education. Also, the Turtle likely synergizes with A Primer On Foreign Magic. Mercenary Pasturings and Maids! don't really synergize with anything no, but they're obligations we have to fulfill nonetheless. Young Snakes is just to potentially get more contacts. Not everything has to synergize with eachother.

Also, I think the vote is currently tied?

EDIT: No wait, the vote for veekie's plan is split for some reason, but it's currently winning with 1 vote.

*blink* I'm not one for poetry, but this is just making my eyes hurt. Is he a Vogon in disguise or something?
