And with our sword being a normal sized kitchen knife right now, it will make a bit more sense than usual.

I'd like to say natural talent, but that's the smallest portion. Mostly it's hard work at my timing and years of experience at judging how voters react.

Consider: Once Ichigo has Bankai, Zangetsu has agreed to be whatever size he wants.

Which makes Zangetsu the perfect tool for food prep. Whether you want a small chopping knife for carrots, or a big carver for roasts, or a sword for fighting off angry food critics, Zangetsu is right for the job.

I doubt that's necessary considering he doesn't care as long as they don't hurt anyone he cares about. He be became friends with nels fraction super easy. Plus SS doesn't have the same hated of Arrancar they have for regular hollows. Remember OMG super serious buff grampa let the tres besta's go cause he admired their courage and dedication. If the Arrancar weren't working for Aizen and planing to attack they would be left alone.

Honestly, the big problem with hollows is that they're mindless beasts who commit sadistic acts against basically everything, and are constantly suffering themselves. Once they become Arrancar, they're basically just maladjusted people with a different powerset, and while the C46 is made entirely of jerks, the shinigami themselves are pretty sympathetic folks.

Plus, to get Bankai, you've gotta be able to manifest the Sword Spirit in question to do so. Meaning it's all part of Zangetsu's plan to finally eat some actual food dammit! He came from White, so of course he's hungry all the damn time which explains the irritability and angry moods. I know I get like Zangetsu when I'm hungry!
