Canonwise we know of at least one squad 13 member being sent to Karakura on a routine long-term patrol. Of course, I was already leaning towards 13.

Two of the thirteenth division were posted to Karakura, with the Thirteenth Division given full responsibility over Karakura after the Aizen Reveal and his obvious interest in the new Juureichi.

Control. It gives us control of our Reiatsu. Which, if we desire to do so, help immensely with any kind of Kido.

Ichigo's all ready making good progress on learning to use Kido, and this is only 5 weeks into his time at the Academy. He's way past his canon self in that regard.
 
I just want it to stay released so we get better at using it.

If you can provide a source for that then I may be interested in changing my vote. All I have found is that captains don't hAve skyscraper sized swords b/c they can control it. I don't want our sword to shrink though, I think it is a good size.

I think that having your zanpakuto smaller when you have enough spiritual energy to make it bigger means that the smaller sword is more dense, and thus more powerful. Size doesn't matter. It's control of the power you have that matters.

This, Ichigo in the first arc had a really thin and weak blade due to that which was how Byakuya and Renji cut through Zangetsu so easily iirc.

Yup. Pretty boy states something along these lines when he cuts up Ichigo sword like it's made outta styrofoam

Maybe, but I have never heard that having a smaller sword makes you better at controlling it. What I do know is that the connection you have with your zanpakuto is important, which I think having it released will help with.

Basically I prioritize our connection with Zangetsu over potential better control.

Correct, but you're inverting it.

Getting better at controlling reiatsu well let us have a smaller sword.

And getting better at controlling reiatsu (for the purpose of a less unwieldy sword) will also help with kido.

Could you two, especially you DarkKing, just stop that? If you have nothing that could be considering polite, then just don't write anything. I wouldn't surprised if some voters were contrary just to not be associated with your preferences.

Try to be constructive with your posts, please. DarkKing, you gave an apology that mentioned you have a problem with being aggressive with your arguments and that you are aware of it. Don't lean on that excuse. It gets tiresome after the second time it's used.
