Bleach: Derailed

Also might as well take a leaf from Nanoha. Bind them so you can Befriend them with your giant weapon.
Instead of piercing someone with a huge pink thing, it's a massive black thing...
...I-I'm sorry.
Also, how's Aizen dealing with this? Ichigo no longer has his Quincy Heritage or Hollow piece.

If I wanted to see more 'speed is king' protagonists, I'd read Sanic fanfic or the other bleach thread on this forum.
I'm tired of that. I want to see someone that is entirely capable of going for a kidney punch just because they happen to be in range to kidney punch, or going for the suplex because the other guy was silly enough to lock blades and then get up close. Like 'oh, yeah? You blocked my sword? Let me just break your face with my face, see how well you block after that!'

And I'm... Not tired of that? It seems more effective to begin with as well so long as we have our sword with us since our hands will be preoccupied with it. Note how the two characters in Bleach that specialize in Hakuda the most either don't use a Zanpakuto at all (Yoruichi) or have an unusual release that fits better with Hakuda then most(Soi Fon).

Muttered words spill out of you, their enunciation careful. Each syllable you speak corresponds to a movement of your energy inside your body, gathering and layering it in just the right way until you finish, point your finger at a target plate, and watch it break into a dozen pieces with a sharp crack. "Hado 1, Sho." You finish with a sigh, and then immediately start in on the next in the sequence. A stack of plates as tall as you are sits in the corner, waiting for their turns.

Hours later, the last plate vanishes in a puff of dust.

Dedicated!

Talking about somebody behind their back is rude, so I eavesdropped.

Flawless Yachiru logic.

The air tingles against your skin, Yachiru's outline starts to glow as though backlit by a pink bulb, and her voice takes on a menacing edge. "Your nickname is Ichi."

Don't argue with the terrifying insane lieutenant .

You still can't use kido without long incantations and intense focus

I mean, being able to do any bakudo/hado without an incantation is a marker of being an actual expert, so yeah, that's not surprising.

a/w

[X] Bakudo

Battle wizard gooooooo

(We'll see what the previews bring)

Its obvious that Bakuda and Hado are not going to win,so I encourage the voters of those options to engage in some tactical voting and vote for either Hoho or Hakuda.

Here is an argument for Hakuda for those on the fence. Hakuda will help increase our physical strength. Which will help the swing our sword harder.

Hakuda is martial arts. Physical conditioning may be part of it, but if so it presumably would be tangential to learning how to fist. By that metric Hoho would help us hit harder with our sword because it would allow us to build greater momentum for charges.

Besides, isn't physical sttength in TPK Bleach entirely dependent on spiritual power?

Hrm. True. Pure problem is that unlike with Hoho Hakuda doesn't need to build up speed. I see your logic though.

Still sticking to be muscle wizard.

Another shinigami that was shown to grapple people in the middle of a swordfight is Kenpachi. It's quite rare though, since the instances I remember are during the Nnoitra fight, and in the first movie against a cadre of shunpo-ing enemies.

Other than that, Madarame I guess mostly because of his zanpakuto requiring a more unique style than anyone else.

E: Also, Yamamoto. He's the most dangerous of the Hakuda/Zanjutsu mashup style.
