In other words, she needs some time to sit down and study it.

But I didn't know she stole them from the original master, thank you.

Older Medea had little time to study the grail as she needed to focus on gathering mana and fortifying the temple.

This Medea is pretty much getting whatever prana that Shirou isn't using from the leylines. If older Medea needed to get prana by sucking from 1000 straws, younger Medea has a fire hose of prana being shot at her whether she's a peaceful protester or not.

To be fair, Kiritsugu's habit of being responsible for the death of his loved ones is such a part of his character arc that it probably qualifies as a noble phantasm. Just in case you haven't decided Assassin yet.

If Kiritsugu were Assassin, things would be too grim dark as he would absolutely wreck you and all the other Masters until Gilgamesh decides to catch him.

A Rank Agility plus Time Alter at a NP level... let that sink in, he's literally unbeatable in 1v1 combat unless you have bullshit like Achilles, Karna and Gilgamesh. Or you don't die when you are killed.

Imagine the look on Saber's face though. Totally worth it. :V

And then the horror of what the life of a Counter Guardian sets in.

She may have irrational fears of looking like a black grandma.

If we go full Mahou Shoujo we need Serenity in this club

Medea Lily pretty much no-sells all poisons anyway. With the Argos spell, she could literally tank whatever Serenity could throw at her. Serenity is probably one if the few Servants Medea Lily can no-sell if she's not ambushed.

Achilles, Karna and Gilgamesh
You forgot Heracles. How could you :(
Eh, according to the original FSN, no permanent harm was done. They just got a trip to the hospital and a case of impotence for a while...

...Medea was a bit of a big softy despite the whole witch thing
I'm aware. That's why I'm not really freaking out about it. Would be nice if she trusted us enough to admit it, though.
*Ahem* It's us, not Medea.
So we set his workshop on fire, and blew it up.

Knowing Fuyuki City, they'll just call it a gas leak or something.

But what if we have Medea get some Command Seals of her own in order to summon Serenity?

Canon Timeline Reference
Canon wise, I'll put the timeline as something like this.

Before January - Illya summons Berserker.
January 11 - Bazett Summons Lancer
January 12- Atrum summons Medea.
January 15 - Atrum asks Kotomine to have Lancer's Master get rid of Medea, Atomic Gatorade dies that night, Medea meets Kuzuki.
January 20~ - Medea shanks Assassin's Master and summons False Assassin
January 25 - Rider is summoned by Sakura

And in this order... Rin summons Archer, Rider sets up Blyat Fort Andromeda, Archer is saved from Irish Hercules thanks to himself, and Saber is summoned.

On another note, I think Pain Breaker is a dagger too so I will update older posts at some point. Medea did stab people to heal them in her interlude...

As for why the timeline is there? That's your clue for what certain options can lead to.

In the HGW, Rule Breaker is really a Friendmaker.

P.S. Only works on servants.

Atrum?

Oh right, the kid melting punk.

I highly doubt the going to school choice will make a come back.

Ah well.

I'll lock the vote in say, 6 hours from now.

Pain Breaker already has a canonical appearance in FGO:

So it's either her staff or a innate spell/technique.

Pretty sure it's a spell. Only thing I can remember being an item class np was the argon coin summoning the dragon and the golden fleece? I think Medea was the fleece right?

Her interlude states it's a dagger. She stabs Jeanne and Astolfo in the chest, Romani acts shocked, then everyone realizes they were healed instead of dead.

In FGO, stated facts take priority over gameplay. Knight Of Honor isn't a machine gun, for example.

And then there's the stuff you should just ignore, like Heracles having Nine Lives but not God Hand. That just doesn't make sense.

Couldn't have phrased it better myself. (In office and on my phone)

Thanks!

It is also stated that Rule Breaker and Pain Breaker were supposed to form a pair of Noble Phantasms.

So after checking the interlude, I was pretty sure its a dagger.

Eh, I believe that's stated due to the fact that the MC, unlike illya, isn't strong enough to materialize Hercules with God Hand. Whereas when he's summoned by others. He does have it like in Oceanos which is why he's so terryfing.

The MC is just too much of a scrub magus to use their servants at their full potential. So has to make it up with strategy and being able to get along with a shit ton of servants.

Another example is
Ah yes, Heracles does not have God Hand, the noble phantasm stated to be a part of his body and the reason he has these weird parts sticking out (which are still present in FGO)... but he somehow has Nine Lives, the noble phantasm he doesn't usually have because Mad Enhancement reduces his motor control.

Mind you, I'm not complaining; it's done for the gameplay, and Nine Lives is much more useful for him than the nerfed God Hand we'd have gotten had they stuck to the rules.

It's just that some parts have to be ignored if we want to fit FGO to the greater a Nasuverse.

Meta wise, that's how they balance things out and give each Servant only one NP.

Lorewise, it makes sense.

Right then. Votes locked.

Picking different combination of the choices would have resulted in different scenarios in this case.

I had posted a short canon timeline reference earlier on, along with putting a date to the previous update.

Note: In canon, Bazett was only Lancer's Master for 4 days.
