Emotionally, I'd say the biggest issue we're facing is that even with control over gravity we manage to be the incompetent one of the group, and David's hyper-competence/derision accentuates that. All of our options seem to be different methods of coping.

Rebecca is familiarity and support, Matthew is social networking and support, Contessa is taking umbrage, and bed is putting the issue off until tomorrow. More succinctly, intimacy, affiliation, anger, and avoidance.

Contessa would actually be my first choice if we were approaching her in a different mindset. 'path to a useful physics textbook' would be a method for Alex to actually start learning about what he's influencing (so that he/we could brainstorm ideas and run them by Manton for safety) instead of floundering between the severe disincentive to experiment called humanity's extinction and the trash-tier self esteem that we get as a result of working with David and having no goddamn clue as to what we're doing.

Can we write in to talk to contessa about our family. It is being increasingly clear that there won't be an official vote for it, and I don't want us abandoning our family.

Might as well talk to her, besides I'd rather Avoid Contessa if at all possible.

I just hate her as a character if I'm going to be perfectly honest, even more so than David.

It's not her demeanor or anything, it's just the fact that unless you have a power specifically blocking her every word out of her mouth is manipulation to some degree.

She could ask for a ham sandwich at a subway and I'd bet a kidney that it was part of some larger plot.

I don't have the patience to deal with that kind of double think right now, at least not right after Asshole McCuntface the First of his line.
