But it makes such beautiful drama! Think about it. Tarkin and Padme, there opposing ideologies, her needing to trust him to lead the republic and him needing to trust her to share what she learns. It's the most tense alliance since Palpatine and Jar Jar.

I like this one. A nice proven team ready to face what the galaxy has to throw at them. It's not flashy but I can trust that they know what they are doing. Plus Orion Pax becoming Vice let's the galaxy get used to him while also giving him a great platform for next election.

That would just encourage them, because their shipper mad brains will concoct an made up scheme of them trying to hide it by publicly acting like they barely tolerate each other.

At least for this one, though, Anakin won't feel threatened, because the sheer idea of Padme and Tarkin together is pure madness that has nothing that could lead to it, and everything that couldn't lead to it.

I'm not shipping them. I just think they make entertaining frenemies.
