STAR WARS: The Galactic Civil War

Well do you guys think that this election will be a meme itself, as the election for chancellorship would be between only two known characters we know well.
It would be a meme about a suppossedly egalitarian democracy once again picking a human who came from a poweful family after a nonhuman from a humble background tried so hard to do otherwise.
You know what would be a better meme?
A Droid from out of nowhere who somehow got the Job, despite not even actually having any political background, and who's also a giant spaceship.
Let's not forget the Ciaphas Cain effect either.

That one was talking about Venari, the Chancellor who through a series of misunderstandings ended up as a candidate for Supreme Chancellor (Hopefully she also becomes the Supreme Chancellor instead of either of the other options)

"VENARI: (Accidental) HERO OF THE REPUBLIC!"

Palpatine slurping his morning coffee after a hard day kicking puppies only to make a spit-take upon reading that a Droid fighter in his army just became chancellor of the Republic

:V

Here is my meme pitch: a legendary mass murderer from ancient times who brought down Old Republic and Sith Empire to the heels becoming the heroic figure in Droid communities despite being a mass murderer and cosntanly using slurs against Organics like "Meat Bags" while leading a war against an enemy that uses droid army.
Let's not forget the dark humor effect.

Look its not that I am oppose to droid chancellors its just the idea for them to be one at this time and palce is just too mich.

Like the QM was very clear droids are not even cinsider people yet social and culturally mostly because this idea is yet to sink in on people they should even be treated as such.

And would be wierd suddenly one become a supreme chancellor right now.

I genuine do no think the Repuclic is ready for having one.

The third reason to vote for Tarkin is that he will have a lot of handsome MEN IN MILITARY UNIFORM in the government!

(Joke - there is a meme about this in Russia)

And I think having another pure human with powerful family background is hardly not a repeat of the same tiresome trend of human favortism in the galaxy over the past 1000 years which Jar Jar tried to stop specially someone who has no single funny bone.

The last govetment was very popular, I very much expect there a lot of aliens around as senators this time because of Binks.

Alsp you can say Tarkin is the last hurrah of the Old Order then a return of the trend.

And how exactly does it paint a flattery picture of the Republic? If anything everyone in the galaxy will see it as Republic undoing Jar Jar's reforms and going back to their core elitism, it does not matter that Tarkin is connected to Jar Jar all they will see is a human from a rich family once again reaching the top thanks to humancenterism and elitism and declare it as betrayal to Jar Jar's promises.

Because the guy literally was a member of his gabinet.

Most people would associete him to Binks than anything else and the guy was responsivle to overseer the remilitarization of the Republic.

If anything people identfy him for that then anything else.

I could see this war, even at this point, bringing out extreme patriotism and political involvement among droids. Droids were given rights and an equal place in society. Not by some successful droid rebellion, but because the Supreme Chancellor of the Republic said that they would be true to the values they claim. Then oppressors who didn't like being told that they couldn't be as oppressive as they wanted declare war against the Republic with their army of droid slaves.

Droids involving themselves in the Republic hard, to the point that a droid as Supreme Chancellor ends up happening, is believable to me, and it's the story I want to be a part of.

Exactly, think about how hard someone would fignt if they finally had a taste of freedom after untold thousands of years of servitude and their enemy is threatening to drag them back to the time where they were nothing more than disposable fodder

It's poetic and a really interesting concept

The trouble of this narrative is that your supposed droi ld chancellor woukd have to work with organics that do not seem them as people and largely his constituents as well.

Politically they are, but socially and culturally they are not.

Look I would pick a droid as advisor then a Supreme Chancellor because that make sense in the timeline and actually would introduce then to the political world than imidialty jump to the highst office from nowhere.

Maybe the next election they can try because they would built a raport, intorude themselces to the public and key political figures that yes they are people and yes they can lead.

You're basing your entire evidence off of a single reply Magoose made several months ago and have been spending nearly ten pages repeating the same arguement, and again I will tell you this:

The opinions of fictional people will mean nothing on getting a droid into office, if we vote for it, it will happen, and it's Magoose's job to write a justification on how a Droid got into the senate

Off the top of my head for the Venari plan, a sizeable majority couldve voted her in for the meme, others could be trying to prey on her lack of experience, hell, maybe Palpatine tries meddling in the election only for it to backfire spectacularly when the candidate he picked turned out to be the next Jar-Jar sized headache

All of these are viable options, and the public sentiment of the galaxy is irrelevant at this moment

Anyways I'm getting tired and upset, vote Venari if you want a droid that could narratively fit into the canon of the quest without much issue while also struggling to fit through doors meant for Humanoids smaller than her.

The guy does engage in shirtless fight in the comcis.

The difference from Putin it's that the guy is ripped and have a lot of scars to prove his military record
I'm not talking about Putin - a photo of Putin's torso is much more common in Western media than in Russian media. In the Russian-speaking world, Putin is always in a suit. Here's what Google (it still works in Russia) will give you if you enter a request for memes:

Oddly enough, we are not talking about real politicians, but about film bloggers and Decembrists. In short, there is a Russian-speaking blogger known as Badcomedian. He is one of the popularizers of film blogging and was popular as the Nostalgic Critic. Only if the Nostalgic Critic has lost his popularity, then Backomedian's videos collect 2 million views in the first day (even though he does not post his videos very often now). He is like an unofficial icon of Russian-language YouTube. 4 years ago, he reviewed the historical blockbuster "Union of Salvation" dedicated to the Decembrist uprising. Matveyev (who played Prince Trubetskoy) noted that he found himself among "talented men in uniform," which became a reason for a joke. Here is a short clip (with English subtitles):

[X]Plan: The Devil Herself
-[X] Leena Eligos
-[X] (Female Devaronian) She usually styles her long, white hair into a bun plait thus drawing attention to her stern, almost angry, expression. Her yellow eyes just make her seem even more intimidating.
-[X]The Loyal Officer: The Republic's Shield.

Biography:
Leena Eligos was bornt in Devaron to one of the 72 ruling clans (the Eligos). Both being clan-born and a woman meant that her future was set in stone, she was expected to either inherit her mother's position in the government or find another, equally boring, job in Devaron. Unfortunately (for the Eligos), Leena was much more interested on blasters and adventure than on being a bureaucrat. When she reached her majority of age, Leena decided to join a private military company with her mother's reluctant support, on the condition that she would return home at some point.

Leena's career was derailed almost immediately. The PMC had been contracted by the Galactic Mining Guild to suppress worker unrest in a Outer Rim planet known as Tropico. She deserted, along with 30 others, when she was first ordered to shoot at peacefull protestors. Following her desertion she joined the insurgency and fought for 4 brutal years until Jar Jar Binks dismantled the Mining Guild on his third year as Chancellor. Following the Galactic Economic Fairness Act, the judiciary intervined immediately and decisively to excise all Guild-aligned forces from Tropico.

Utterly tired of adventure, and violence, she returned to Devaron and accepted a comission as instructor in Lillia Bael's Academy for Cadets. From then on Leena became much more active in politics and a vocal supporter of the Republican Revitalization Movement (RRM) within the military. Her political career culminated on her becoming the Secretary General of the RRM in the Duluur Sector.

There, an OC with her own story so that Magoose has an eaiser time creating a personality for her.
