As a spy he would have the means to fake his citizenship if needed and he was sent out to prepare the Galaxy for some vague threat. Becoming the Chancellor during this war and arming up the Galaxy would be an option for him.

People will be vote for him and in this OTL he is now firmily loyal to the Republic thanks to Jar Jar and mechanic wise Shield of the Republic is a very good mechanic and immenslily helpful.

In fact one the mechanic you have to take at least one civilian project per turn to alleviate fears you are not becoming a ditactor power.

Jar Jar manage to restore Tarkin's faith in the Republic in this OTL.

The guy will not try any funny business if chosen as Supreme Chancellor.

First of all you are proposing him, that knows aboslutely nothing abotu the Republic beyofn the bare basic in trying to become Chancellor?

A fake ID is one thing but I seriously doubt he has the skills to fake something that would hold up to the scrutiny a Chancellor candidate would face

Tarkin wouldn't be a bad choice either, but I like the idea of Padme more. Not really a fan of throwing in a random Transformers crossover.
 
non of the choices really speak to me. Any other character from prequel quest that we can pull? Droid chancellor is crazier than Jar Jar.

Assuming this doesn't get vetoed, I think it'll be interesting. A Chancellor from the Outer Rim who ostensibly wanted to stay neutral but ended up getting voted into office because the voterbase stereotyped her so hard – in no small part because the Jango clones helped spread a wholey different image of modern Mandalore – that they automatically assumed she would be the best wartime leader of the Republic is funny to me.

I still find it odd droids are even valid choice, a few years ago they were not even consider people.

Like I get if was a couple of decades like 50 or 60 years since by that time it would sink in the idea of droids are even people to the public in general.

Now it was only what, 5 years or something?

Where is the sense in that?

Not to mention I pretty sure people are only voting on the Prime Choice because that one is a blatant carbon copy of Optimus Prime and I hate that.

Also another thing that completely slipped my mind, since she's- y'know, a vulture droid, she'd probably be much, MUCH harder to assasinate considering the fact that most pocket blasters won't do anything and anything bigger would probably get caught by the security teams

The thread, and the senate (and therefore the Republic) voted for Droid liberation. This wasn't some odd backdoor, oh we've discovered droids are sentient, guess we have to give them the right to vote. It was a deliberate choice. You've consistently advocated for conservative humans to run the Republic, you're trying to frame this in terms of what the Republic might vote for. But really it's just excuses for your own prejudices.
