[X] Margh Grouse (Brythonic Cultivator - Gawain. Strengths: Strength waxes as Midday Approaches - Has begun decline from his peak, still dangerous )

Down for either.

[X] Do Not Use an Armor Charge (Armor remains at 70/100 for the next match)

If we want a sporting match with Margh at his strongest (and I do), we can always challenge him to a spar at noon later.

[X] Winfrid Tolstan (Anglo-Saxon Thane - Strengths: Battlefield Control, Rapid Attacks, Mobility.)

we def can't nail down rich boy, but we could nail down his followers as they don't have horses. but with only two birds available to try to punch up a cultivation realm at rich boy's bird, i don't think its worth it.

If we want to target him our best bet would probably be to fourth party him. wait for him to go in on some other battle and engage him while he's third partying. Only issue is that he would probably know we are doing that since his bird is just outright better than ours and considering his cowardly nature we'd prob just end up in a standoff and he wouldn't go third party someone.

Its just impossible to reliably engage on someone who has a speed advantage, a scouting advantage, cultivation superiority AND probably still outnumbers us.

Better to go for an enemy we can at least garuntee we'll fight and hope we aren't the ones he chooses to third party.

Though we should prob plan on not getting a chance to replenish our fervor or use armor charges, just in case he does ambush us.

[X] Use an Armor Charge (-3 Zeal, -1 Armor Charge, Armor Repaired to full)

we'll prob want to be topped off too.

yeah, just take out Tolstan (I don't actually remember much about him) and then go after Margh next round. Bonhomme is probably going to try and mob us once the big threats are either gone or exhausted, actually, so maybe we could talk Margh into siding with us against him and his gang near the end?

Sounds like he is in prime position to third party someone here. We should be cautious of that.
Hence why I'm saying we should take out the only other known A-Lister before he gets a chance to pull that in the final round on their side

Tolstan was one of the unchosen options during chargen, focusing on 'elf shot' and conjuring items made of magically enhanced flint. Winfrid specifically has been noted as a guerilla warfare specialized archer.
Could we have made a macuahuitl using that flint if we'd made Audrey a Tolstan?

While unlikely I still think its worth the attempt. In terms of strategy I think we could do a fake out by having Mildred's bird following us, to either foul him into think we are being hunted or to space out our party enough that he does not see anything. To make it not too obvious we could have Osric following close behind, selling us as only having a single party member in reserve. Alternatively we could sell the being hunted aspect by purposely damaging our armor & having Mildred though some range attacks at us as we 'happen' to run into Estienne. As for Estienne house I believe that using a combination of Boots & Stone ring to grapple his horse would possible, then taking it out with a Limb-Breaking Hold.

At this point in contest, I think it would be pretty damn arrogant to not use one of our armor charges. Not sure yet against who I want to go against, but I implore people to use it regardless.

Also, to make sure of something: @Alectai, we don't have a total guarantee that we will be facing someone we voted to go against in the next round, right? With the number of people dropping, someone else might go after Audrey and her current allies, right? Like Margh, for example.

I just realized something we could have done last round.
Instead of linking up with Osric, we could have allied with Aesvig. You can't tell me she wouldn't have just squeed her heart out at the chance to take two little sister warrior women under her wing.

Estienne wouldn't have stood a chance

Correct, you do have aerial recon between Crowley and Mildred's birb, but this is a Battle Royale with a shrinking perimeter, and should be treated accordingly.

That being said, 70 Armor plus your Hama Field is still pretty chonky.

It's no fun to fight him when he's declined too much

How fast do armor charges work? In the last fight the enemies having some left seemed relevant, does that mean they can be used in combat?

If so using one now seems like a waste.

Yes, it takes a combat action though, which isn't a trivial expense.

But if you're down to like, 20 armor, spending an action to regenerate 80 of it might be a good play.

I didn't realize armor charges could be used in combat for an action. If that's the case I'm definitely comfortable going in with 70 armor and our Hama field, if we get mulched in the first round it almost certainly won't be all the way through.

And if it is that just means that we were so unlucky or outmatched that we were never winning the fight regardless. So may as well save the charges for after the fight

I'm of the opinion that we should save the armor charge for when our armor has dropped lower then this. Its a limited resource and we haven't actually lost much yet on top of the fact that from my understanding our cultivation type has fairly thick defenses comparatively having both Hama and armor.
