[X] Leave it to God (Grace Check to determine Opponent for First Round)

I don't feel like fighting a family member not so early in the day at least, its better for the family if both make it further. The Norse would get worn down as they spend their othsitrr over the day, so leaving them to later is just fine by me, the sun cultivator can take care of some of the other top-competitors and leave us with the one we actually know the weakness of.

Other then that, there should be a lot of mooks here, which is the hope for the start. Get some simple mooks to build up our body count and ransom chest.

"Still, it doesn't matter which of us comes out on top, as long as an Eotenslaga gets to the last bit of it, does it? Certainly, it wouldn't hurt if I could claim a few victories though."
My problem with going for Osric is that I'd rather let him try and get some wins under his belt first. If we knock him out before he gets the chance to do anything… he won't have a grudge but he might be a bit peeved with us.

Let's leave Margh for now so he can knock out other strong people, and either go for Jory or roll gacha.

Hrrrm…
Pride and Wrath…
We might want to be wary of who's who in melees and be willing to be more generous the normal- a competitor that insists on Doing Her Best won't retire and that can cause annoyances if we pick the wrong competition for kicking others out of it in favor of our own glory.
For all Wrath might tend to be the 'flashier' of Audrey's Sins, this is where Pride comes to the fore.
If we make it to the end though we get the charger, it's just a question of what bonuses we get along the way. Buuut.,,I don't know how big the field is and by the sounds of it the topic of the field will all outclass us so we cannot assume we can faceroll through all competitors.
Another thing to consider is that we'll probably have limited recovery chances-fighting a powerful opponent and winning is all well and good, but there's unfortunately good reason to clobber some weaker contestants to preserve our resources…
But both points slam into the whole Pride thing from earlier, so it's going to need to be a careful balancing act.

[X] Margh Grouse (Brythonic Cultivator - Gawain. Strengths: Strength waxes as Midday Approaches)

Osric is an Eotenslaga, he isn't likely to get wrecked right away and as a thane, we would rather fight him after he's tuckered himself out a little.

I think the play is to beat this guy then release him.

Use that goodwill to encourage escanor boy to not target us during his time of power and have him take some other serious threats off the field so that we dont have to deal with it.

Think this way we'll be able to fight him at least while he is wanning, not waxing or peak.

I really want to take on our cousin to learn some family techniques from him, but doing so in the first round just seems uncharitable for a family member.

Grace checks are fun and flavourful. Jory is just a good, reasonably "run of the mill" opponent. Plus as people say, releasing him may help us avoid his brother's ire until the end of the day - as well as just build ties with some quite likeable knights-to-be.

I suppose we could always take out our cousin and then release him. Show there's no hard feelings.

I see the arguments for getting in Jory now. We'll almost certainly roll the Fite Gacha next round if we do this (we probably want to let our cousin get a good showing so giving him at least two rounds to strut his stuff seems good, and we don't want to fight Margh during his peak performance time or Asveig before she's been whittled down by the other competitors), so I'm not too worried about missing out on rolling the dice.

Osric is right out, don't want to sabotage family.
We either need to take Margh out now or hope he takes out Aesvig at midday.

That should be time enough for you, Wednesday isn't my usual update day, but I'll see what I can do about accelerating things a bit :)

Feeling a bit sleepy ahead of schedule, this is actually a good sign because my nap habits have been questionable lately and if this works out, I might actually get to sleep at a reasonable hour and get up at a similarly reasonable time. I might have to post the bonus update tomorrow.

Remember my talk about a bonus update? Yeah, scratch that, I am not in great form today and my brain and body ache. Normal update tomorrow unless the flow of calamity strikes me, fortunately, I intend to stay close to my bed, just in case.
