Out of all the options, this is the most dangerous one for Aesalbrim herself. Arguably the only one that is. If it comes out that the Princess did this, her time among civilised society will likely come to an end, as will her usefullnes to us.

Picture more of a lateral transfer. An Elven Necromancer Princess and her Wraith Husband First Mate is a banger concept for a pirate crew to alter her contribution to the Acquisitions side of things, and alternately she'd slot straightforwardly into the Research side as an expert of Elven culture and politics with her husband as an expert on animals.

This. Just... This.

I was tempted to alter my vote even before you answered but "Elven Necromancer Princess and her Wraith Husband First Mate" as the "bad end" for grief, really seals the deal.

I like leaning into hella old and knowledgeable more than being hella good at dead stuff. Though all are true.

We've been in Lustria for FIVE MINUTES and we're already brewing a new elven heresy.

Question @Boney the High Elves don't have a ban on Necromancy right? So theoretically it is entirely possible for us to teach her how to do it and she'd still be welcome in Ulthuan...just probably not very well liked.

If we can manage to convince her to go Necromancer, then that opens up some very interesting future acquisition options.

Imagine this, we convince her to go Necromancer and she raises her husband as a Wraith, becoming a pirate captain who works for us. Then she uses her knowledge of her Kingdom to sail to their sunken ruins and use necromancy to both reclaim their lost treasure, but also to raise the elven dead (both bones and spirits) into her crew, possibly using sunken elven ships to bolster her armada.

On top of that, imagine if she still has her High Elven loyalty and is very enthusiastic about raiding the Dark Elves. That would be brilliant, an Elven Necromancer Pirate raiding the Dark Elves for their stuff. Maybe even coming to the aid of Ulthuan, making the other factions feel very conflicted about the situation.

Actively doing anything Dhar-based on Ulthuan itself would probably be considered an environmental offence, but nothing explicitly against Necromancy. It's just not a problem the Asur have really had.

So in other words, they'd have absolutely zero issue with her raising an undead army to go fuck up the Dark Elves, so long as she doesn't do it at home.

That significantly improves the Grief option, as that means we can still benefit from the possible political connections to Ulthuan.

Well, when you put it like that, how can I say anything but

[ ] [LEVER] Power
edit: And I just read the grief is now or never. This is so unwise but I guess that's the theme of this quest.
