[ ] Lets You and Him Fight: Send the Marines Malevolent after that chaos cult. Warn said cult ahead of time to make it bloodier for the Marines and then prepare to murder whoever is left. For the marines, make it look like an accident or the cult's activity if possible, and if the Cult survives… well. Even gangers don't like Chaos. Have some of our "normal" looking members hand over a few corpses to the Interrogator.

I like it. I suspect the MM will win but definitely hoping the Marks do some damage.

[X] Talk to Pure (roll Sov flat, modified by plan. Success = the pure join whole heartedly! Fail = CIVIL WAR????)
-[X] Use the Magos's psychic ability to talk within the mind of one of the pure, to better understand them
-[X] The Pure once had 2 anchor points. The cult, from which they derived their patterns, and the hive fleet, from which they derived their marching orders.
-[X] One has been destroyed, the other has been altered, but this alteration offers a new future. The hivemind, any hivemind, has shown critical weakness, a fatal flaw. It is on the hybrid species which could hope to survive this weapon, and so per evolutionary directives, cooperation must be ascertained.

The big problem with sending the MM after the Chaos cult is that they don't really seem like the kind of person to listen? Shaxia doesn't seem to have much authority over them.

Edit : The other big problem is that the Chaos Cult is House Mark. Aka, one of the ruling noble houses. That's making some serious enemies, if we sent in the blunt hammer of the marines.
Especially since this seems to be a cult that's pretty good at keeping things on the Down Low.

I mean, if they actually ignore an inquisitor telling them Chaos Here, KILL that's a thing we can work with.

And for each omake, I will upgrade the lewdness of the quest by 5%!

And what percentage is it at currently, out of curiosity?

That's the fun part: if this works out, the MM are disposable assets. We can disavow them as loose canons, helped by the fact that nobody likes those guys.

And it's Chaos, everyone jumps on Chaos.

It's the MM them killing people we don't like with excessive carnage is good for us.

I'm assuming we have no meaningful penetration in that house since we didn't know yet.

Talking to the pure isn't an action I don't think.

I know this is an odd questions, but can we use a Shexia's Lackey's action against Shexia's Lackey's? I just mean mechanically, in a flavor sense it would represent Shexia acting as a double agent. In this particular case it would be to have her lieutenant evaluate other inquisition members for potential vulnerabilities in the name of keeping security against the Gene Stealers. She would then hand off this information to us.

Companies can act against one another, actually! Though, in this case, that kind of learning vulnerabilities would be a gather information check targeted at her company (which is then given to you, thanks to her corruption!)

I wonder how much we can trust what the inquisitor knows though, yes the star children would eat us all, but that fits in the idea of ascension, the only question really is what happens to our minds afterwards, which afaik is an open question. We could very well join with the hive mind in immortality as part of the universes largest democracy, instead of just dying

[X] Leave off, for now (no roll)

I say we wait until we have like, 7 or 8 Sov instead of just 4

I like the idea but it feels narratively risky especially since it attack two assumption that currently protect Shexia. That Inquisitor is clean and that genestealer have not infiltrated them.

If we wanted internal debrief of Shexia Lackey a good pretext of rechecking chaos is in the muse right now. We succesfully fools the Lackey and they found chaos cultist.

[ ] Influence the Purestrains to folllow us, by making a concentrated Denim-manufacturing push! Ca(na)dian Tuxedos for EVERYONE!
The jeanstealers will prosper, as there will be so many jeans to steal!

I mean, they wouldn't knife the cultists in the back if they were doing that.

Also, they'd deploy them resleeved.

If the Nids were doing that they'd something like Anya's defector guard in humanid Nid combat bodies from Consume.

Consume is great, my personal wincon for this quest is to to do Anya's schtick with less douchebaggery and more lewds.

A good enough write-in gets us a Master Dice which is an auto-succ.

What does Police BLANK do?

Actually, here's the really important question, more so than our missing Primus: what was the color scheme of the hive fleet our purestrain are from? Standard Leviathan purple and white?

Are the Skavz actually Scavvies; or just baseline humans that picked that name?

Actually, with a population derived from the imperial penal system, tough conditions and environmental contaminants, and also the occasional Chaos cult, what is the mutant/abhuman situation like in the lower settlements?

Maybe for the Inquisition, which might suck a bit for our new convert but as long as the entire pointing the MM at the nobles isn't attached to the GS cult, we'd be fine. But like also they're the Marines Malevolent, they are the most evil Loyalist chapter, or damn near close to it. Them suddenly slaughtering a noble house, is not exactly unusual behavior for them. Especially since its a penal world noble house. Not exactly the sort of thing that would get off world nobles upset.

I think as long the general populace believes the MM were acting on their own, the backlash of sending them at a noble house is little to none for us. Though, looking at it again should probably adjust Blankmask's plan a bit, since its sort of two actions in one as it's currently written. Setting the MM on House Marks, and then finishing off whichever faction survives.

Sicking the MM on the Marks is good.

We can then go acquire the leftovers.

As for us ... did we ever Kiss the governor's wife?

Should we try to Levy Troops this month? We only have a Might of 2, and bringing down any contingent of Space Marines is a job and a half.

How much of the cult knows we flipped Shexia?

Warn the...Slaanesh cult...

OK, it's probably not the worst cult to warn ahead of time--a Nurgle cult would take it as a signal to start brewing the zombie-ebola--but it's got to be pretty close. Could we see about getting our hands on a big truck bomb to sneak in instead?
