Earth Bet: House of the Sun (Cultist Simulator/Worm)

An action to take a Heart lesson still has to be spent. If we don't take the lesson now and we won't find a scrap either, then we would have to find 2 scraps in one turn to research a Heart ritual in that same turn.
Or we could. Just not research a Heart ritual if we don't get a Heart scrap from the Mansus? What's the rush in wanted to research a Heart ritual next turn specifically?

Also re: showing Charlotte that Lores have beneficial uses. That exactly why I want to come to the meeting with more than just The Answer is Yes. Considering we're pretty likely to find the Temple from Mansus exploration, I'd rather show up to the meeting with other stuff vs. having the Heart lesson a bit earlier for no extra benefit.

Witherbrine26 The heart helps us resist things that can harm our body. Could its presence allow you to resist something that normally cannot be resisted?
For example, if the Panacea tried to change us by force, would the heart give us the opportunity to resist these changes?

The name of my Plan is Preparing for a Heart Ritual for that very reason, so we can research it next turn with Charlotte and show her that Lores can have benevolent uses.

Sure, we reassured her this turn that what we are doing is necessary, but I think it would be good to show her that Lores also have a "good" side. Like with a ritual that heals, or protects or something.

Also, we are in a Heart cult with a Heart esoteric trait. I think advancing in that Lore should be a bit higher in our order of priorities.

And we need to accomplish this by researching a random Heart ritual instead of searching for a random anything ritual (which should also include things like the Forge's Redemption and is easier to do) why..?

We're also the ritual master, and yet we're still Level 0 for Winter, Forge, and Edge. Which in turn is also going to limit what kind of rituals we can research. And cast. And create.

By researching we can choose how we approach that ritual. If we throw enough "protection" and "heal" concepts at it, then a ritual that has those concepts will be researched.

Searching for rituals has been described as casting a wide net and seeing what you catch. Why should what we catch be a benevolent ritual?

True. But since for research only the researched Lore is invoked, then I wouldn't worry about it.

Why should what we research be a benevolent ritual either? We have no control over what gets spit out besides the Lore. Sure, Heart is associated with protection and healing. It's also associated with storms, monomanaical focus/obsession, and quite a lot of flaying.

I believe the idea is to specify the kind of ritual we are trying to make in the vote.

Yes, it keeps you preserving. So things that would change your body against your will you can roll to resist.

Then what would it be?
Creating a ritual?

Edit:
Searching: Going out and finding a book, person etc that has a complete ritual. You're doing pretty much none of the hard work here and as such can find almost any ritual this way but it's random and the DC is high

Research: Pick a lore, you get a random ritual that's based on that lore (Winter and End is Beautiful for example) the higher that lore is the more powerful ritual you can get. This is you putting together the bits of rituals you already know

Create: You make your own ritual, picking the specifics but if you don't have high enough lore than you flat out cannot make it.

True, but that is why Charlotte would be there. Her determination would help find a benevolent ritual if she believes it can be done.

That is Create a Ritual. But that is supposed to be very difficult so we should wait at least until we have Level 3 in a Lore.

So now if we slack too much with our job it is not our congregation which notices but general people. It seems we need to subvert everyone in the general neighborhood at least to get another action, and I don't think we can do it any time soon.
So, with DoD - is it just planning for now or do we actually help her this turn?
I would like to have access to a Dappled Wing during whatever her plan is, even if it doesn't involve us acting personally it could help her from the shadows. Well, I think summoning a Dappled Wing would take 2 actions (one for preparation, we need some Knock added to make the roll at least 70%), so it can be fully done next turn after we know the plan.
Actually, @Witherbrine26 would this be a legal plan?
[X] Plan: Preparing for a Heart Ritual - Dappled Wing helping
-[X] On work and the people you preach to.
--[X] You'll end a few minutes early, subtly of course (Gain an extra action)
-[X] On the goal, of rites, rituals and summoned creatures
--[X] Search out a Ritual (Ask for cult's SH follower)
--[X] Search the Woods for summonable creatures
-[X] On learning the Lores.
--[X] Lady Mylissa is willing to teach, request a lesson
---[X] What lore? (Heart)
-[X] The Mansus, a place of contradictions. It calls to you, reach out.
--[X] Explore the Woods and it's many secrets
-[X] A fleeting opportunity (rumor mills spin, opportunities come and go. These actions might never be available again)
--[X] Get involved Damsel of Distresses planning (There will be a vote on how to approach this later.)
-[X] [Dappled Wing] Ensure our planning meeting with DoD stays secret
I hope I don't need to add wording to ensure it wouldn't, for example, just kill whoever should be watching us or DoD (which would make the meeting secret... but also bring a lot of other attention)
If it isn't a valid plan, well
[X] Plan: Preparing for a Heart Ritual - More AP
It's still good.

[X] Plan: Preparing for a Heart Ritual - Dappled Wing helping

Either works for me.

I kind of want to summon more Dappled Wings, they are only 40 Funds a pop and give us three follower AP, after all. Just have to roll higher than a 23 on the die for Knock and above a 13 for Edge, Moth is an auto-pass.

Taking into account the trait of "TREASURED HORN" we can assume that our moth is unique, or at least with other members of its species it is necessary to negotiate individually.
