What I'm saying is we'll probably be lucky to reveal one tech in 4th quarter of this year, whatever happens, so we might as well wait until third quarter to try for any extra tech.
It never seemed particularly important in comparison to other things I could do with the funds? Whatever, I'll add it and remove a single Glimmer factory dice.
No war ever occurred sounds best. Between North America forming into a continent spanning super nation and the knock on effects of John Connor and skynet existing it feels reasonable for it to be butterflied away.

Honestly, the whole war happened because Putin, in part thanks to Covid curtailing the ability to check personally, had a very wrong assessment of the situation. While Ukraine, already unwilling to go along, got info that revealed the fragility of Russian forces.
With the whole USA situation, it's possible the whole foundation, even if that info gap still existed, may not happen depending on their actions around the globe.

the destiny timeline already diverges a lot from ours,they have drone tech and more developed space tech and infrastructure by 2014,as well the NAE existance would send multiple dominos down affecting other countries politics
maybe russia and europe are closer to counter balance the NAE power
maybe the NAE has a more isolationist take given their sheer size and resource avaibility allowing them some degree of autarky
maybe the NAE is not as appeasement driven as obama and trump era administrations resulting in a russia less willing to take proxy wars projects
is fine to not follow the exact points of original story 1:1
but replace with something interesting,if you get rid of the ukraine conflict for "and every just get along with no context behind" is boring

Ahh. here's an Idea. How about having a less established and advanced but still large and competent version of the Atlas corporation from call of duty, advanced warfare, based primarily out of Ukraine? The existence of a powerful PMC within it's borders would be a good deterent against an invasion while balancing things out by adding another megalomaniacal business leader to the setting? Give Clovis Brey Competition for most self important dick.

I was debating on what to do and simply decided to roll to see what comes up in my proposed idea during my lunch hour at work.
The results......I am so tired of this BEEP.
So yeah.
So here is what I am going to do.
Poll up there is open.
Vote to for either 'No war' like you guys said, or what came up in my roll.
Will close it tomorrow it with the plan voting.
Now, if you excuse me, I am off to try to pass Kell's Fall in expert.....AGAIN!!!

Russian Attack:
1 +70= 71, NAT 1 CRIT FAIL
Ukraine Defend:
50 +50= 100, ART 100 CRIT
Ukraine 100 bonus: 91
So, current possible end result of this cluster fuck of the Russians:
Ukraine not only repealed the Russians, they also took permanent territory from them. (Subject to change)

On the territory bit may i reccomend more moderate ukranian expansion (just take areas near the border)

I think just letting Ukraine have the full territory Edboy has marked out is fine? No needlessly complicated division of territory to map out, no needing to remember unfamiliar nations and accounting for how they fair against the chimera if they reach them, no weird knock on effects of accounting for nations that don't exist otherwise impact on the world stage.
I'm also just not seeing an upside to complicating the situation.

I get the feeling that part of what happened was Ukraine was more ready in numbers and equipment, and basically counter invaded, shutting down the ability for Russia to adapt in time, forcing a peace to secure the home front.
Militarily, ending things quickly would have been the best possible move from Ukraine, in order to minimize the chances that Russia could clean up their logistics and training. Which, given the dice, likely went so well that it caused a crisis of confidence which forced Russia to the negotiation table. Russia MIGHT have a halfway decent military after the cleaning house, but at least Ukraine has got a very solid military. 🤔
Might try an omake exploring that insanity.

We'll probably get that once we reveal SOP. Currently, nothing else we have or could make can compete weapon wise with chimera, but if we can get reactors down to ship size before the end of the year, energy based artillery might become a game changer.

Currently this turn we're building a city sized ones ones in Washington dc and Kiev Ukraine. Planning to put others in important nations bordering russia. We'll see about other cities next turn.
