Muelsye as a person is better equipped to responsibly handle the power that becoming a 1st Generation Bloodfiend entails, and while she will undoubtedly suffer as anyone would after becoming a Bloodfiend, she's less likely to start embracing other people for the purposes of political influence. It'll also mean more Mumu screentime even after we get out of Columbia since the best person to help her cope with her newfound condition is Arabella.
I'm not so sure Muelsyse would actually be better off than Ferdinand is regards to 'handling' the Bloodfiend curse. She's got a lot of baggage, personal and otherwise, and it's not hard to imagine the Curse pushing her further along her worst impulses. Clooney's in a different position. The man is already ruthless and ambitious, wanting to usurp control over the Rhine Labs from Kirsten and use science to more directly benefit Columbia rather than the idealistic/horrifying purity of Control's doctrine. Canonically, this involved being willing to kill people to create a superweapon capable of rivaling the Shard in Londinium, but his comeback in Lonetrail showed that his underlying principles were fundamentally true - he really does believe in using science to improve the world through tangible and realistic ways, it's not just self-rationalizing a pursuit of power. Muelsyse doesn't truly have anything tying her to the world besides a longing for connection and her 'difficult' relationship with the other Rhine Labs founders, whereas Clooney has much more invested in not running off and going crazy with power.

Ultimately, you can make an argument for either character being 'better' or 'worse' with the Bloodfiend's curse, but I think Ferdinand is an interesting enough character I'd like for him to stick around, whether as a new member of the team or a villain, whereas I don't think there's any danger of MuMu dropping out of the plot.

Nicole is already kinda goth, so becoming goth wouldn't change much, and I really don't care about Ferdinand as much as the other two.

Goth MuMu sound pretty baller though…

Ferdinand lovers really taking an L today. No love for the catboy I see.

"I feel that you are a covetous one. Ambition is to be rewarded, and greed is to be punished. But how does one distinguish between one and the other? The choice is obvious- I will both reward and punish, and cover my bases."

I am here to stan my boy.

My reasoning is thus: I don't know if this is just my Project Moon certified reading comprehension debuff, but I don't recall anything about Ferdinand, or even Muelsye being chosen for first kindred. If someone could point it out and prove me wrong in the event I then that would be appreciated.

Moving on, from my interpretation, it feels like it is implied at Muelsye and Ferdinand would be turned into 4th kindreds

"How adorable. You have already known my kind. A mere Fourth Kindred is far too distant from the source, from the ancient font of desire. So, it is time. You will come closer. Much, much closer."

Right here, it seems as though the dude is saying that while the other two will be fourth kindreds, Nicole will be higher up.

Moving on, I nominate Clooney because ultimately if he goes crazy then the worst case scenario is not too bad, since if I'm correct and he's a fourth kindred, he'll be manageable, and on top of that we won't have to deal with any notable pre-existing skills or abilities magnified by being a kindred. If I'm wrong and he is first kindred...it's a bit worse, but still, it's not as bad as Muelsye losing control as a 1st Kindred, or even 4th Kindred, mainly because of her arts.

Furthermore, this decision is obviously Clooney's moment to shine, so who am I to take that away from him? And all of the worrying is assuming he'll lose control, which he wont, because he's the GOAT, smh. And additionally, I personally feel that Muelsyse's baggage would be a problem. So yeah, go to the polls and vote Ferdinand for Kindred status everybody!

Also, if this is not a choice between "who do we think wil not go crazy?" and instead "who do we want to sacrifice to become the next villain?", and in that case, even more reason to pick Ferdinand because Muelsyse would be helpful against him on account of, well, being a 6* Operator.

It shouldn't have to be stated why picking Nicole in any scenario is a bad idea.

God i don't like the choices given, either choices have terrible consequences in them but i suppose there's a need for deciding a decision so i guess i'll go with

[X] The second traveler, with the feline furs.

Clooney is the one who synchronized with Nosferatu so i guess it makes sense he should be the one to take care of it

The fourth kindred is arabella. We know the turned will be the first kindred, because anyone turned by the progenitor bloodfiend is automatically a first kindred, and the progenitor bloodfiend is nosferatu.

Come to think of it, I was under the assumption that Nosferatu himself was *not* going to be the one to turn them. I know that he says "become my child", but my only counter argument (read: source of copium) is that two certain Third Kindreds referred to a certain First Kindred as "Father", so perhaps Nosferatu is not going to be the one to convert them, and instead it would be either one of the second kindreds (the stone princess and lance prince) or the forest prince, in Nicole's case, who I am assuming to be a third kindred.

In other words, maybe Nosferatu refers to all his descendents as "my child"? There is precedent.

This is the cruelest choice, but also the most interesting one... Elves are so vulnerable to oripathy that even the ambient originium in the air will infect them, and she needs to keep herself in a constant thin film of water to keep herself safe. How would she possibly live with a fear of water? Not to mention how that water is the only connection she has left to her homeland... I imagine she'll end up like the priest did, completely insane.

Extending the vote for a little, because the debate's chugging along nicely enough.

SILENCE THE CHORUS - "It's a little bit annoying, to return to the spotlight. All we've ever wanted was to be free. But I suppose we can't really stay in the dark forever; the audience is waiting eagerly, aren't they? And when you have a story..."

SILENCE THE CHORUS - "You have to share it with everyone, the most wondrous adventures of yours.."

It seems that arousing the attention of the Head has consequences. The fault lies with you, GM.

We'll have to wait for the other side's announcement.

A collab one way definitely opens the door for a collab the other way. Happened with R6.

Besides, is anyone surprised? The venn diagram of the respective fanbases is practically a circle.

EDIT: Scratch that. Lowlight just confirmed on his Weibo it's one-sided for "various reasons." Damn shame, but I guess it could still happen in the future.

After the announcement, I got the idea to imagine crossover identities with Turb. Which Fixer would suit which sinner? IMO it's...

Yi Sang: Lech
Faust: Linette
Don Quixote: Arabella
Ryoshu: Nicole
Meursault: Stock Man or Max
Hong Lu: Alvar
Heathcliff: Rat King
Ishmael: Sleepy
Rodion: Wympe
Sinclair: Emil
Outis: Beats
Gregor: Memento

Granted I'm only confident in like half of them and I think it's conceptually funny if Rodion gets the Linette ID.

Congrats to the QM for having managed to acquire beholder tech!

You were even able to predict Seaborn and Bloodfiends having an affinity with each other in the form of Don Quixote in both worlds!

Bloodfiends are defined by a desire for blood. This desire can be suppressed when one has a dream, an ambition or other desire that can replace it.

Clooney has a deep dedication to science. As Taut_Templar said, he truly believes in bettering the world through science via realistic means. There's more to him then just blind ambition and greed. It's probably the reason why he resonated with Nosferatu in the first place. I believe that Clooney will keep himself in check because his dream will keep him sane.

Muelsyse doesn't really have that. Her defining trait is isolation, from her friends and co-founders at Rhine Labs, from her fellow elves, and from other Terrans. She doesn't really have a dream to guide her future. If anything, she'll actively seek out to make other Bloodfiends to be her "family," to fill the void in her heart. And that's something you call a purge for.
