Earth Bet: House of the Sun (Cultist Simulator/Worm)

Voting is open
We currently have a +37 to martial rolls, with another 5 if we initiate combat, making for +42 total at Edge Level One.

That is terrifying, and we're one scrap away from hitting Edge two which will pay further dividends.

Seeking our Foe out doesn't mean we'll be in a fight with the very next threadmark, it just means we've decided to handle things ASAP and in person. We can get another scrap by studying with the Master, might even get some extra character interaction if we say something along the lines of "I go to confront my enemy, teach me what I must know to claim victory."

We could also, plausibly, go shopping to get ourselves a new weapon, or Edge artifact, though any thing of Edge is by definition a Weapon.

Huh? You don't think voting for "You'll get suited up, head over to whatever motel she's holed up in and kick down the door" means we... won't be getting in a fight, immediately?

(Or walking into her trap, immediately? I dunno, it's not like she doesn't know who she's going up against...)

The above are simply how you plan to approach the situation, none of them will happen immediately. The exception is letting your Master handle it, in that case Alicja will be dealt with immediately.

At the very least we've got to figure out which motel she's holed up in. Come to think of it, considering we've spent the last six years determinedly evading her, suddenly turning at bay and going right at her might be the last thing she expects.

We've learnt this from Bird's quest. Even if it's probably going to be interesting, the wolf isn't something that we ever want to have to keep dealing with. Asking the Master for help is almost certainly going to involve the Wolf.

That "gift" that would come with the deal would probably be worse than lot of other options.

Presumably, we'll get a temporary threadmark about which approach to take, or even gain an expedition.

This is something from our past, so I suppose it's poetic to try and get rid of her here, as if shedding our past. On the other hand, Edge Dyad, or perhaps she may have some helpers...

I would assume that our Master will not kill her, most likely she will turn her into some kind of creature and give this creature under her guidance, this will be her gift to us.
But as soon as we want to rebel against the Master, this creature will become especially dangerous for us because of its connection with us.

[X] Track her down, finish this

I don't believe that we can kill her right now, after all, this is the flaw chosen when creating the character. But I also don't believe that other options are better than this.

[X] Track her down, finish this

We take her down, and then ask for the Master what we can get from her life, matbe as a lesson. Get the Gift without the Debt.

John Wick gonna be murdering people, personally and with style. That's like, a universal law.

Just to reiterate. One of worst things that our master can "give" us is atention of Wolf. Probably with some nice scar (probably seven of them) that binds us to it or just kills us if we missbehave.

Turn 4 New
That's how you'd deal with her. No intricate plans, no subtle maneuvers—just a simple, straightforward assault. The kind that would end things decisively. You pushed yourself up from your chair, the old folder tucked beneath your arm, as you made your way upstairs. Your bedroom was as spartan as the rest of the place, bare walls and minimal furniture. It suited you, though. Too much comfort could make a man soft, and you couldn't afford that luxury. You could never afford that luxury.

At the back of the closet, hidden beneath a plain black jacket, was your old gear. It had been years since you last touched it, but you had kept everything in order, ready for a moment like this. You pulled it out piece by piece: body armor, reinforced and upgraded with newer tech from your time in the States, plates heavier but more reliable now. Next came the helmet—nothing fancy, just enough to protect against shrapnel, the kind that might save you when everything around you went to hell.

But the last item was the most important. You knelt down carefully, hands almost reverent, as you pulled out the bolt-action rifle. It was old, older than some of the things you had fought for, but like you, it had been tested. The wood was worn smooth from use, and the metal had a dull gleam to it, but it was sturdy, dependable. A weapon that had never failed you.

You rested it across your lap for a moment, taking a breath. Memories of other fights, other enemies flickered behind your eyes, but you pushed them away. This was different. This was personal.

Standing up, you raised the rifle to your shoulder, mimicking the motions you'd perfected long ago. Your finger rested just outside the trigger guard as you spun in place, peering down the iron sights as if lining up a shot. Despite its age, the rifle was still reliable, still capable of doing what you needed. You lowered it gently, walking over to the small table in the room, the only other piece of furniture in this small place.

You laid the rifle down with care, and your nimble fingers moved over it with the practiced ease of years of training. Slowly, methodically, you disassembled it, every piece coming apart in your hands as if it had been waiting for this moment. You cleaned each part, taking your time to ensure the oil reached into every crevice, every joint until it gleamed just right. Once you were satisfied, you reassembled it, snapping each piece back into place like the finishing touches of an old, familiar puzzle.

"Back together," you muttered under your breath, testing the weapon one last time. It was smooth, flawless. Just like it always had been, if a bit older.

You stood, rifle in hand, and moved back toward the closet. The armor, helmet, and rifle would be there waiting, ready for the moment you needed them. You hoped it wouldn't come to that, but deep down, you knew it would. You had no illusions about what was coming. You and Alicja were on a collision course, and it was only a matter of time before that old war flared back to life.

For now, though, you had other things to take care of. Preparations that needed to be made. But as you closed the closet door, you felt a calm settle over you. You were ready—ready for the inevitable, for the fight that had been simmering for years.

Soon enough, you'd find out if you had lost your edge.
