Repeateing a trick like that is so passê. She already did that couple of centures ago just to see who would rebel if she were to dissapear.

According to some of my completely unreliable sources she is gone for her honeymoon.

The Groom is even a real Dragon you see. He is pretty dark skinned so much so might even call it Ebon. Empress was so impressed by him (and his offer of immortality) she eloped with him.

She will return soon tough I don't think she is going to be pleased. Nor will the Groom, but that life I suppose. Full of dissapoinments.
 
I assume the trade off for private vs public is openess of discussion vs clout from being seen with Mnemon

Although the other options have much to recommend them, the thought of what Mnemon might want to say when no one else can hear is just way too interesting to pass up.

I have to say, honestly, it never occurred to me either that Nazat was genuinely in love with the Empress. Somehow she's just not someone I associate with that. Boy, he's got several big problems at once, doesn't he? And from a source he never would have predicted.

It actually makes a great deal of sense. Ambraea does a lot to balance her differing parental heritage, but when interacting with people not close to her she is an imperial daughter first and proud daughter of Nazat Burano of Prasad second. but deep down, beneath the mask Dynast life requires of her, she a woman defined by pure, near unfaltering devotion, and just as her crowd facing self most strongly apes the scarlet empress, so to does her deep unspoken well of devotion ape Nazat Burano. again just Bravo Gazetteer. 👏👏👏.
