At this time, Maia doesn't really even feel like she has family. Not in the way Sola or L'nessa did. Not the trust or unconditional support and love. Ambraea gives that to her, and with this step forward, maybe she can open herself up to the idea that more people can love Iselsi Maia just as much as Erona Maia.
Last time was about supporting a friend who is having the worst night of her life. I've never seen a romance vote that didn't get at least some people voting no.
it's been implied that they'll have a reunion in which Ambraea will recognize her as her former Handmaiden a few decades down the line. now given this was the case before Sola became a romantic partner, the implications of her visiting Ambraea are certainly interesting.
I'm not particularly convinced we'll be getting another one. Sola's grief certainly isn't the sort of thing she'll be properly passed before the quest ends and the uncertainty part seems likely as well. same for Ambraea. frankly it feels very much like a now or never, and Sola very much needs it now more than she will in the future regardless.
