The Enemy Within (WHF Witch Hunter Quest)

Faith isn't something you write down and read, it's something you do
Granny Elvyra told us so after all, wouldn't want to disappoint her by ignoring her advice so soon and squirreling ourselves away in some monastery
[X] Slumming

Fair enough. Our best example of a Sigmarite Priest was one who desired the community of the poor and downtrodden after all, so I think we should take from Sigiwalt's book. Perhaps if Markus sees the conditions regular folk and some mutants have to live through, he'll gain a better understanding of what he's fighting for and the people he has to protect.

Regardless of illiteracy, she's a duellist with a rapier and everything. That sounds indicative of the lifestyle she wants to have. Heck we defended her a couple updates ago because she got in an affair with a nobleman, so she's definitely hobnobbing with those types.
It should be remembered, that many of the old dueling manuals IRL had pictures, precisely due to illiteracy. It allowed not only for people who couldn't read to learn at least something from them, but also helped those that could in case they were studying the blade all by themselves and had no teacher at hand.

I prefer Society, or even Slumming, to Seclusion. We need to interact with people and get reminded of what we fight for. It would also mean actually winding down.

Interesting. Vote tally is currently 26-24-23 for Slumming, Seclusion and Society respectively, so there is still all to play for.

Obviously the vote will be open for the rest of the day at least I just wanted to check how we were going.

Markus will revisit the days of his youth and spend time pretending to be a common labourer, engaging in honest work and taking comfort in the camaraderie of the masses.

That is true, but who says faith can't be found through meditation and deliberation? That's what monks do, ya know. What Elvyra is talking about here isn't something new. Faith without works is dead, after all. Markus is trying to relax and ditch some corruption points, how he does it is up to him.

I just don't care for slumming it out or getting into noble life since that's something Markus is already doing when he goes out to work as a Witch Hunter. they're environments he'll always be interacting with on a regular basis.
